  • British Columbia BC users - how are you dealing with the PST Exemption for Youth Products?

    Hi BC Community,
Reaching out to everyone and anyone to help with this.  Has anyone had any luck (in British Columbia) dealing with PST Exemption for Youth product? More specifically if a product has a full tax item (12%) and a Youth Exempt Item (5%) in the cart, at the same time.
As you know, if you add to British Columbia Tax Codes (BC-12% and BC-5%) and you have product in your cart, like the above mentioned - the Destination State overrides any product level Tax Codes.
Looking for some help with this one.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

  • Slow LTE speeds in the LA and greater LA area?

Hi guys.  So I live in South Pasadena, CA, and for the past week or so I've noticed that the LTE speed on my phone has slowed than tremendously.  Whereas before I would have no problem downloading apps, watching Youtube videos, streaming music on Pandora and Rhapsody, now I can barely get these services.  At times, videos load, and at other times, they don't load at all.  Or, I'm in the middle of watching a video and/or listening to a song, and it stops.  I've tried turning the phone off and on, taking out the SIM card and putting it back, wiping the phone completely, making sure that it is set to "LTE mode," and this has not done the trick.  Oh, and I have an iPhone 5s, 32GB.  I'm updated to IOS 7.1.2.  I have even tried driving around to other areas, like Orange County, and my phone still has this problem.  When I connect my phone to WiFi, no problem.  But when I switch back to Verizon's network, I get the problem mentioned.  I was wondering if anyone on here who lives in LA, or the greater LA area, has noticed this.  I took my phone to the Apple store today, and the guy brought out another iPhone 5s, and the network was slow on this phone as well.  When he showed me his iPhone 5s (he had ATT as his carrier, however), no problem.  So I don't know if anyone has reported this, or if it is just my phone.  I called Verizon customer service two nights ago, and the rep told me that there were no outages, and that no one else has complained of this.  So I would like to know if there is anyone out there who is also experiencing this problem with their LTE speeds.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

This is happening to me too.  About two weeks ago LTE just dropped off.  Here's the results of my speed tests this week:
    Mon 8/18 - 0.46 Down, 5.89 Up (culver city)
    Mon 8/18 - 0.15 Down, 1.24 Up (LAX)
    Tue 8/19 - 0.18 Down, 6.75 Up (culver city)
    Tue 8/19 - 0.32 Down, 7.25 Up (LAX)
    Wed 8/20 - 1.2 Down, 8.76 Up (culver city)
    Wed 8/20 - 0.54 Down, 4.87 Up (LAX)
    Thu 8/21 - 0.37 Down, 7.27 Up (culver city)
I'm so glad I found this thread because customer service immediately thinks its my phone.  They told me to clear my browser history, what the hell??  Where can I go to get a serious answer?
I have an iPhone5 running iOS 6.1.4.  My wife is on an iPhone5s running iOS 7.1.2 and she is experiencing the same issues.

  • HT5557 Why is British Columbia sales tax being charged on iBooks when BC's own documentation says that electronic books are exempt from sales tax?

I recently bought a book on iBooks and on the invoice realized that provincial sales tax (pst) was charge. As I knew books were pst exempt, I went to look at the government's website to see if they mention electronic books. I found the aptly named "What's taxable and what's not" (http://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/topic/BED47DA4EBDBA60A5F28622B8B2E1451/uploads/ whats_taxable_whats_not.pdf) and started looking. On the first page, it distinctly says electronic books are exempt.
So, my question is - why are we getting charged tax when our government says that electronic books are tax exempt?

no, that's not a reason you would use a class file.
anyway, your document class variables are defined on the main timeline so to reference them from any timeline you can use:
MovieClip(root).w36;  // for example  (but it's really undesirable to have coding in more than one timeline)

  • What do you need to do to your account in you have a US plan but are going to Canada for a day or two?

If you have a US plan but are occasionally going into Canada for a day or two at a time, what do you need to do to make sure you are not paying for additional calling and texting activities?

    Canada plan.

  • Why are MORE EVERY Canada/Mexico plans not included in Double data promo?

Very frustrated that i cant take advantage of the double data promo for my family plan because I pay extra to be able to call out of country. I currently have the "More Every Canada/mexico 14Gb" plan and really wanted the 30gb option being offered,

Extremely disappointed with customer service. I spoke with a Chat representative and messed up my acct by changing it to a plan that is completely different, What is irritating is that I even confirmed the Plan/cost/promo that we talked about and she confirmed it effective for begging of next billing cycle. She stated it was approved by her supervisor. I log into my acct and a completely different change was made effective immediately(can/mex 20gb for $30 more than what I currently pay.. Now i have to call back next month to ask for difference of my actual plan cost and the random one I was put on. I can understand Verizon not letting those plans participate in a promo, but the time i wasted and will have to waste because of a chat representative is just unacceptable. CS response was just to cal back and ask for a credit.... great!

  • How to install VISA after Labview and NI-DAQ are already installed

I have Labview 5.1.1 and NI-DAQ 6.6 installed and running properly. I now find that I need to install VISA. Must I uninstall everything (hardware, NI-DAQ, and Labview) and then run the Labview installation again to install VISA? Or can I just go ahead and run the Labview setup again in order to install VISA?

No, you do not need to uninstall any of your hardware or software to install VISA. There are two ways that you can install VISA.
    1. You can modify your installation of LabVIEW by going into Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, clicking on LabVIEW and selecting Modify (or Change, depending on your operating system). If you have your LabVIEW CD in the CD drive, you can simply enable VISA support in the Installer Tree. This will install VISA on your computer without modifying the installation of any of your other programs.
    2. You can also download NI-VISA from our website and install it. You will probably need a reasonably fast internet connection, but this may be the easier way to install it. The URL for the VISA download page is linked below. Ve
rsion 3.0.1 is the newest and works with most Windows operating systems.

  • Is there a function on LabView so when you are done with a sub vi you can return back to the main vi while i tis running?

I went to VI properties and selecting for the front panel to open when called and close when finished, but it still doesn't close when I'm running the program.  What else can I do?

These options do exactly what they say - they cause the subVI's front panel to open when the subVI starts running and they close the front panel when the subVI stops. This can be used, for example, for pop-up dialogs.
My guess would be that you are using the abort button to stop the VI. This is a big no-no and causes all the running VIs to stop. What you should do is use the code to end the VI's run. If this doesn't help you, I suggest you post your code (File>>Save with Options>>Development Distribution) and explain what you're trying to do.
To learn more, I suggest you read the LabVIEW user manual. Also, try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide.

    Hello ksakaki,
What type of external hard drive are you trying to run an RTOS on? USB connections are not deterministic enough to support Real-Time communication so I am a little confused about your setup that you have described. Do you have a real-time controller to run your RTOS on? If not, you can simulate RT targets within LabVIEW to begin developing before you have RT hardware to work with. The following article walks you through how to simulate hardware:

  • Product and Opportunity-Product Subject Areas

    Hi,
Can someone please tell the difference between these two subject areas in CRM OnDemand Reporting-
    1) Product
    2) Opportunity-Product
And under what circumstances we should use either of them?
    Thank you.

Product: you do get the dimensions and facts for the Product object... so you'd build a report with Product information
Opportunity-Product: you do get dimensions and facts for the Products related to an opportunity... so you'd build a report with Opportunity and Product information

  • Labview Server Use - Clusters are not compatibel

    Hello,
I am very new to Labview and try to get an Arduino Interface running. I want to control the bias voltage of a diode and the temperature at the same time. Therefore I make use of tabcontrol and Labview Server VI to let both SubVi s run at the same time. However in order to get the refnums of cluster I have a  problem. What I did is, I created the refnums from the arduino in and error in and build them into my subvi (arduino execute). I did it that way with all the other refnums. But when it comes to the clusters of error in/out and arduino ressource in/out I get the error-
These cannot be wired together because their data types (numeric, string, array, cluster, etc.) do not match. Show the Context Help window to see what data type is required.
The type of the source is Cluster Refnum
        typedef 'Arduino Resource.ctl'
        cluster of 4 elements.
The type of the sink is typedef 'Arduino Resource.ctl'
    cluster of 4 elements.
...any clue why this comes up`?
    I gonna attach mz Vis
Any help is very much appreciated!

Whew - where to begin?  It's like having someone ask you how to rebuild an engine and you have to explain how a socket wrench works...
You chose a tall task as your first project.  I suggest you at least go through this tutorial if not rhis one before we can begin to help you.
