We have a project I need to get done before summers end and we have majotiy of the code. My company builds robotic systems which we use for industrial inspections mainly in the petrochemical industry. These robotic systems work with a ultrasonic systems which we use to take thickness measurements of piping and pressure vessels using ultrasound.   We have the ultrasound equipment and most of the software as said previously, we just need it polished up and some additions made. Our code is a bit more complex but you get the picture.
This position is not a full time position as of yet. We are looking for someone to work with us on a contract basis for now. Two       Monitors divided by NVIDIA Graphics card were used. ●   Simulated Data Acquisition and Device control using NI LabVIEW 7.1:Description: Input was taken as temperature through a thermocouple from DAQ device. The LabVIEW code would accept this input and record its average value along with the values of voltage and current, over given time in a text file. If the temperature exceeded a fixed threshold value, the DAQ would send an output signal through one of its configured ports which would control a bulb through a relay. It sounds like you have solid experience. Have you considered contract work? The job market kinda sucks right now. Check out net-temps.com and jobcircle.com. Presently I work through a contract house called YOH Scientific, yohscientific.com in Newark, DE. I'm sure they could find you work but they'll skim a lot off the top. I worked with optical comm when I lived in Mass. Too bad it took a dive. I still see a lot of opportunities for RF comm in southern New Jersey. They usually want LabWindows/CVI. Since you know c/c++, LW/cvi would be a cake walk for you.
