Labview remote panel not loading

Hi,
I have a colleague who can't see my remote panel.
The site is
http://distillation.engr.utc.edu/WPI/WPI-Distillation.htm
My friend installed the LV runtime for LV 7.1 (which is what
the server has). He gets this response, in addition to the blank panel:
"Application Layer Gateway Service has encountered a problem and needs
to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.
szAppName : alg.exe     szAppVer : 5.1.2600.2180     szModName : ntdll.dll
szModVer : 5.1.2600.2180     offset : 0002d9cb"
Do any of you have any suggestions?

  • Remote Panels not working in embedded viewing mode

    Hello,
I'm trying to develop a web version of my project using Labview remote panels. I configured the web server properties as it's described here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4791/en/
Currently I'm trying to create the web page on the web publishing tool. However when I select the Embedded viewing mode option I get an "Requested VI is not loaded into memory on the server computer" error on the web page that is created. But if I select Snapshot or Monitor viewing mode option the page is loaded without problems.
I'm using Labview 2013 and oppening the web page in google chrome. The VI from which I'm trying  to create a remote panel has some subVIs that show the front panel when called. Is there anything I'm forgetting to configure, or do I need to have any plugins instaled on my browser?

There you go, good solution. When doing this remember that you have access to the database on the server. A structure I have found effective is to use the server DB like a dropbox that I write to, and the web server reads from.

  • Remote Panel not working in Windows 7 Starter

    Hi all,
We have an application that can be controlled via remote panel. This is working fine in Windows XP PC. But when I try to access the same by opening Internet Explorer in a PC running Windows 7 Starter OS, I only get the 'Downloading 0.00% of 0 bytes'. I have disabled the Windows Firewall and there is no antivirus software also. What could be the reason for this? How could I solve this?
    Thanks in advance,

The system which had the problem was a netbook that came with Windows 7 Starter. We found out recently that there was some parental controls utility in the netbook that prevented the LabVIEW Remote Panel access. We were not aware of its presence & it had not shown any indication that it had blocked Remote Panel communication. We uninstalled this utility & the Remote Panel started working as intended. Thanks again for your help.

  • What is the Algorithm Used by the LabVIEW Remote panels?

    Hi
Has any one had any idea about how dose "LabVIEW Remote Front Panels " works and its Algorithm?

Is it possible to intercept data values transferred from server to
remote computer display and put them in a text file for post-processing
? Each data value is accessible individually with graphic cursor but I
don't know how to store the whole set of data.

  • Labview Remote Panel and Client Aspect Ratio

    Dear all professionals,
I had create an application with remote panel (webserver) enabled. I found that there is relationship between aspect ratio of client device display and the remote panel screen size. Here i attached two images of remote panel in browser which both remote panel are opened using different aspect ratio of client device.
The left 1 is the device with 1.5 aspect ratio while the right 1 is the device with 1.78 aspect ratio.
As you can seen from the images, both remote panel are shown in different size. May i ask do i miss something in the remote panel configuration?

    Hi Michel,
Thank you for your reply. I also notice that the zoom % of browser is one of the issue that caused this behaviour. In the same aspect ratio with server computer( where the application running), changing zoom to 100% will help to fit remote panel that I already set when I developing the remote panel vi. But if for different aspect ratio, no matter how u change the zoom % , it won't fit the frame. I just wondering whether got another solution for this issue or not :-(

  • Adobe Exchange CC Panel not signed + Panel not loading (Win 8x64)

    hi there,
since there is no "final solution" for this, i have to ask here. hopefully ;-)

1, removed all CC apps via uninstallation
    2. run full run "Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Cleaner_Tool" to remove every trace left
    3. installed all the programs new and "udate" all.
    4. tryed to install the "AdobeExchange.zxp" via extension "Adobe Extensionmanager CC" gives the unsigned-fault every time.
    5. no panels open, nor any reaction if i try to invoke "Adobe Excange" from "Dreamveaver CC".
    6. fault in "Adobe Photoshop CC (32 + 64)" "cannot complete command because the extension could not be loaded. (kuler doesn't work also

    10. with synced "Creative Cloud" settings does not do anything better(more worse: it even screwed up all saved online settings)

  • Blank grey panel showing up in PS 2014, panel not loading

Not an issue with the extension. Sometime loads properly. Sometimes after clicking into the window.
    How to fix?
Is there a log somewhere that would provide clues?

Please refer to the System Logs section at: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/CC14_Extension_S DK.pdf

I am also concerned that you are not sure where this extension has come from. Do you think you purchased it on Adobe Add-ons?

  • Remote files not loading

I use Dreamweaver (8.0.2) which I have been using for several
years without incident. Now, I am unable to see my remote files.
When I click on the icon that connects to the remote host (or when
I right click "Put" the file to upload to the remote server), the
background file activity bar appears with the message "Retrieving
remote folder for <site>" It takes longer than usual, about
20 seconds longer. When it finishes, "File activity complete," the
directory (folder) of the site contents appear in the remote site
window, but when I click on it to view the site files, nothing
    happens.
Now I am unable to update or see my files on the remote
    server via DW.
I manage about 8 files via DW and the same thing happens with
all of them. I have not changed the FTP configuration settings for
    any of them.
Do you know what is going on and how do I fix this problem?

  • Vimeo panel not loading on FCP X

I've been using Final Cut Pro X for a few months now to do some minor edits for my company's  Vimeo account, and until now have used the  Share --> Vimeo... panel to upload our clips. However today when I went to export a clip the menu stopped working. When you roll over the menu (see screenshot) and let go no menu pops open to export to Vimeo. Infact, nothing happens at all.
Is this a preferences problem? If I delete a user preference somewhere will it resolve the issue? I'd rather not have to uninstall and reinstall FCP X.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Then you've got bad fonts installed on your machine, especially free fonts downloaded from the internet. AI is very picky about fonts. Verify all your fonts and dump the bad ones.

  • Is it possible to embed a remote panel in a subpanel?

When I connect to a remote panel it opens its own totally seperate window from the calling VI. Is it possible to open a remote panel in a subpanel of the calling VI. If this is not possible then as remote web panels make use of Active X would an Active X container work?
    Thanks

    Hi Peter,
I've set this up with a small test and it seems to work ok. You just need to create an activeX control and select the Microsoft Web Browser, and then for the navigate property, select the URL that you want to point to - in this case, your LabVIEW remote panel. Requesting control etc still seems to work ok in this configuration.
Take a look at the attached vi's and html page - you'll need to copy this html page into your 'C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\www' directory to get this to work, and make sure you have the web server configured correctly. The browser vi is the one to run - with the test vi being the one in the remote panel.
    Hope this helps

  • Working Principle of Remote Panel

    Hello,
I am using LabVIEW Remote Panel and want to know more about it. Does anyone know what is the working principle of it? How can it embeds a VI interface into a Web page? What technique and protocol are used in it?
    Thanks

    Hi Alan,
You have three options when creating a Web page with the "Web Publishing Tool"; Snapshot, Monitor and Embedded. Snapshot and Monitor are simply including an image of the front panel in the HTML document, whereas Embedded actually embeds a VI front panel (not block diagram/code) with all its functionality in the HTML document to remote control the actual VI on the server. The technology used for the remote control communication is provided by the LabVIEW Runtime Engine. That is why the Runtime Engine has to be installed on the client machines to be able to see the Remote Panel.
When accessing the HTML document the first time, the front panel will be downloaded. After that point, only data that goes to and from the controls and indicators will be transferred. Since the image of the front panel is not repeatedly being transferred, you will get a much better result. One thing you have to take into account though, is that ALL data to and from the controls and indicators is being transferred through the TCP/IP connection, so if you are transferring a lot of data (for example one million points every second on a graph), your network connection can get flooded. Therefore, don't update the indicators with an amount of data that exceeds what can be shown on the indicator.
    Does this make sense?

  • How to handle LabVIEW Error 3: Could not load front panel

I was working on an application, running a vi when the computer turned off. It took me a little time to start the computer again (is not an old computer, is a P4, 1GB, ABIT IG7 MotherBoard). After I unplugged and plugged the Power Unit it was possible to start the computer, before starting, it says that a CPU problem occured and press F1 to continue. Afer press F1 Windows started normally. Then I tried to open the vi in which I was working when the problem occured and LabVIEW says:
    LabVIEW: Resource not found.
An error occurred loading the vi.
LabVIEW load error code 3: Could not load front panel.
The question is, can I open my vi someway or I just lost it?
I will really appreciate your answers since I have been working for a long time in this vi.

Well, I'm faced with this problem now.  VI started its life as a 9.01 LV 2009/Vision 2009 on a given machine.  Copied to another machine wth 7.1, 8.2 and 9.01 on it.  Opened with 2009, saved it for 8.0.  Opened it with 8.2, saved it for 7.1.  Opened it with 7.1//Vision 7.1.1,  edited it, saved. File appears to be fine.
Now trying to open it with either 8.2 or 2009 (9.01) fails with error code 3.  Note that it still opens with 7.1, so the front panel is there.  Anyway to fix this?

  • LabVIEW error code3: Could not load front panel.

    Hi
I am getting second time the "LabVIEW error code3: Could not load front panel." when working with the development environment of LabVIEW 2009 SP1.
It is really annoying as I loose time as I have to revert to saved previously code.
Does anybody know where it may be coming from and how to avoid it?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Pawel,
the panel has an origin which you can see in your VI:
Every element will be placed in a position in regard to this origin:
The position has a limit in regard to the bound. I am not sure about the value, but it should be around -35k...35k (or the double of it)....
