Hello Laura,
To cut to the chase - I have 20 years of LabVIEW application development experience along with a degree in electrical engineering. You can see from my attached resume that I am extremely qualified for almost any project.
I am willing to work for little or no pay if I can have the opportunity for my family to stay in your country during the summer of 2013. I personally can stay much longer than that.
I am hoping I can help you do a project during this time to allow me and my family to travel there and meet the people of your beautiful country and see the sites.
I have very good mechanical / electrical / software skills including being able to do 3D design with solid works.
Currently I am doing work for a customer in Arizona designing LabVIEW software to do APU testing (150kW jet engine generator - very challenging and enjoyable!!)
Might I contact you by Skype for a chat?
Best regards,

  • Is it possible to run my Labview software in Windows 7

    Hi there,
I currently use Labview 8.2.1 and Labview DSC 8.2.1.
But within a short time I want to switch from Windows XP to Windows 7.
    My question now is:
Is it possible to switch to Windows 7 without any problems?
Will the Labview software still run under Windows 7 without problems, or do I have to download new drivers or other software?
I hope to get a reaction soon.

    Hi Cheese,
Official LabVIEW support/compatibility with Windows 7 is explained under the following articles.
National Instruments Product Compatibility for Microsoft Windows 7
    Windows Version Compatibility with LabVIEW
LabVIEW Module and Toolkit Compatibility Information
On the forums, people seemed to have mixed reviews about older versions of LabVIEW with newer versions of Windows 7. Another piece of food for thought is Windows 7 (some versions) contain a "Windows XP Mode", which MAY allow you to run this version of LabVIEW in 7 however as the above articles show this is not the supported version. Essentially the XP mode allows virtualisation of XP OS on Windows 7. I've not personally tried it with this version of LabVIEW, but it's just an idea!
    Windows Virtual PC
Upgrading to the latest version of LabVIEW will work and is fully supported.
    Hope this may help

  • Can I integrate my exe program into my LabView software?

I developed a LabView software. Can I integrate my old xx.exe program into this LabView software? Any information on this point would be appreciated.
    Yun

The way to do this is to redirect the text output from the program to a file, and then read the file into LV. I unfortunately don't have all the information with me, but do a search in the archives here. The way I learned about is was a discussion a couple years ago. You can also check online for information related to writing DOS batch files--which is how you actually run the DOS program--that should get you pointed in the right direction.
So it is possible, messy, but possible.

  • Software Management Tool

    Hey everybody!
I just want to know, if anybody would also prefer a management tool for the software in the mac. 2 years ago, I used Linux. It has a management tool for the software. So you can install software easier from the web and updates for EVERY INSTALLED software can be seen in this tool. You haven't to start every tool to update. Just open the software management tool and take a look if something new is availlable.
I am interessted in your opinion.
    Thx

It's not a typical Mac way-to-do ... Some months ago i've heard something about a project but it's not useful because many applications as AdobeCS3 for example needs their update clients to patch apps.
So what use of a program that search updates and notify you if there are something new but it can't update your apps?
On Linux what you're talking about is very useful because of many daily updates (for system or for apps), you can install applications from Synaptics (ubuntu) and track their updates.
Usualy Mac programmers use to add a module inside their products (located under program name on the right of apple menu) that search on app launch for updates.
If you need only System Updates they are automatic , go to Apple menu and choose Software Update
    for some options.

  • Controlling pxi 7350 using labview software

    Hi,
So i am a complete newbie when it comes to labview having only used it to control virtual instruments before and now i am the point where i want it to interact with real world items. Ok so here goes..... i have the latest labview development software and have also purchased a pxi1033 with a pxi4065 digital multimeter and a pxi 7350 motion controller integrated within.
my problem however is that i want to be able to control my motors via the umi7772 interface but cannot seem to find the correct symbols on the labview software to utilise them, i would like to use labview to create a program that will turn the stepper and evaluate what is on the dmm and then turn accordingly this is way above my level on labview currently but if anyone has any ideas then any information is greatly appreciated.
    cheers
    james

    Hello Jamest6,
I have found some useful documentation that will help you get started with you 7350 and LabVIEW.
First of all here is a community example that you can take a look at. It is possible to download the example itself from the bottom of the page.
Read Analog Input (AI) values from NI-Motion device 73xx : https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-5617
Then you can access these knowledge base articles for some more guidance :
How Do I Use the Digital Input/Output Lines on my 7330, 7340, or 7350 Motion Controller Card? : http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2D238C3BF101620C862573A60081BFFE?OpenDocument
How do I control the analog ouputs from an NI PCI motion controller in Measurement & Automation Explorer?: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/04B940903BDD987C862579320083C6FF?OpenDocument
Also using these manuals for both prducts will be of help to you :
    NI 7330/7340/7350 Motion Controllers and
    P7000 Series Stepper Drives:
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/372324d.pdf
    NI UMI-7774/7772 : http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373359c.pdf
Another great source for looking at or using example VIs is the  LabVIEW's Example Finder.  Go to Help » Find Examples... When that window pops ups, double-click Toolkits & Modules in the folder list, then double-click NI Motion Assistant.  I'm guessing the "Straight Line Move.vi" or "Blended Move.vi" would be most helpful to you, but you could read the descriptions of each example listed for a little bit more information about what the examples are doing.
    Hope these are useful!

  • Can IEEE 488.2 Labview software/drivers used on a IEEE 488.1 instrument

I have a IEEE 488.1 device but am using a IEEE 488.2 Labview software/driver package.  Measurement and Automatiion
tells me that the IEEE 488.2 board is working properly but there is no communication between the board and the device.
Is IEEE 488.2 downward compatible?  If not, is there any remedy rather than getting a new board or getting a new instrument
    with IEEE 488.2 software?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
In my application I am conducting a pressure test, Here am using DMA Make Air Data Test Set witch I am interfacing to the PXI system through GPIB.
In MAX the particular GPIB address is detected but if i write a query "*IDN?" it did nt respond.
To debug this issue I used NI 488.2 Interactive control when i started communicating with the instrument it throws error such as EAB0 and status as TIME0 and CMPL
    Here the Instrument DMA make MPS31C is 1EEE 488.1 Compliant.and NI 488.2 Ver 2.52
Please find the attached operation manual and Device communication manual of the Air data test set
Please suggest be a solution for this issue.

  • Where can I find the Labview device manager?

    Hello out there,
I hope you are able to help me. I'm searching for the Labview device manager
and if you can tell whrere I will find it, perhaps you can also tell me how
    to handle it.
    Thanks und best wishes,
    Schloemer

I'm unsure about what exactly you are looking for. Most NI devices are configured using the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Which you should have installed with LabVIEW. Other non-NI devices are configured by there own configuration utilities. System drivers and settings are done through the OS device manager. Could you tell us exactly what you are trying to do.

  • Additional software manages deployment of applications

I'd like to utilize "Additional software manages deployment of applications"  option in Client Settings (using SCCM 2012 R2).
Need to write a SDK to manually kick off the deployment for certain collections with a 24/7 business hour and zero maintenance window.
Anyone has ideas or if a class is available to do this?  I need the ability to start the deployment on individual machine one by one and not entire collection.

    Hi, katiedonut.
If your intent is to immediately start a deployment then the 3rd party deployment facility activated by that setting may not be appropriate as it is basically an entire replacement of the whole Application/Updates facility within the client.
That seems a bit heavyweight for what you're trying to do.
You may be better served by having a scheduled task or listener service that runs on the client that can invoke the installation methods in the root\ccm\clientsdk classes (these are also what Software Center uses) if you have a time sensitive need to
    run something right away.
If you do need to go the native 3rd party client route that the "Additional software" setting enables you'll need to work with an account manager or CSS as we don't publish this on MSDN.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
