Labview VI's for keithley 617 meter

Respected Sir,
Now I m trying  to interface keithley 617 electrometer using Labview and GPIB card. For that we have created code. Using this we want to measure continuous readings form 617.
We are getting reading from 617 meter. But we want to measure current for that we have connected 1 kilo ohm resistor to the device using BNC cable(According to Keithley manual) voltage range is -1 to 1 increment  of the order of .1 means after -1 automatically labview must take -.9 next -.8 next -.7 till up to 1 after that it must stop collecting data.
I m going to attach my code. Please try to solve according to our need.
With regards
Shridhar

Hi Shridhar,
Good afternoon and I hope your well today.
Are you using the VIs which I found here, at ni.com/ident
Keithley ke617 Meter
http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E94A2659CE034080020E748...
The VI titled  Keithley 617 array.VI setups/reads/close the take for 100 measurements - for one setting.
Now I have seen for other instrument drivers they have coded a sweep - which is what you're after.
The process to achieve this is loop through this code, but changing the voltage range and hence reading back different data. Have you got code that updates the voltage range?
I am sorry but I can't code in LabVIEW 5,
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards

I need GPIB Driver for Keithley 263 Calibrator/Source Meter using Labview. Can anybody help?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
on Keithley's website is explained :
"The Model 263 offers a more economical, more precise alternative to the Model 6430 or the Model 236 when used as a low-current source. It is used almost exclusively as a current calibrator."
    This leads to Model 236.... A LabVIEW-driver is available @: http://search.ni.com/query.html?lk=1&col=alldocs&nh=500&rf=3&ql=&pw=595&qp=%2BContentType%3AInstrumentDriver+%2BIDNetManufacturer%3A%22Keithley%22&qt=&layout=IDNet
Maybe you have to "reconstruct" some parts - but it will help.

  • Labview drivers for Keithley 181 nanovoltmeter and Lakeshore DR-91C temp controller

    Hi,
I am looking for labview GPIB drivers for the following instruments.
    1. Keithley 181 nanovoltmeter
    2. Lakeshore DR-91C temperature controller
I will greatly appreciate information about the above.
    Sincerely,
    A.V. Mahajan

    Hello,
I just searched the web for both of these and was unable to find anything...I found a CVI driver for the Keithley 181 on the NI website, but I doubt it would be a simple conversion with the "Convert CVI Instrument Driver" utility in LabVIEW...it certainly wouldn't hurt to try, however. Anyway, I guess about the only option you have at this point is to contact the manufacturers of those devices and see if they have any un-published drivers...perhaps they're not supported, but it's better than nothing.
Good luck in your search. Have a good day.

  • Labview drivers for keithley DAS 1600

    hai all,
I am searching quite for a long time for the Labview drivers for my Keithly Metrabyte DAS 1600 data aquisition card. Could any body provide me some weblink or some source from where I can download the drivers.
    thanks in advance.

    Dear Nanda
Thank you for choosing National Instruments!
National Instruments provides drivers for NI products only. If you need drivers for other third party hardware, you will need to contact the hardware manufacturer for the drivers and VIs to interface with LabVIEW. You can go to the download center for Keithley from this link and typing in DAS 1600 in the search page. This will bring up a section with downloads - wherein you can find driver updates. If you do not find information here, then you may need to call in tech support for Keithley to get the drivers.
    Hope this helps.

  • Voltage sweep and measure current for Keithley 2400

    Dear All
    Hello,
    anybody can help me?
In spite of nearlly10 days i am searchig to find any labview 2010 program for voltage sweep and measure current that works with RS-232, i has not able finde anything exept some exapmle that read single and multiple data. I has tried to learm labview and changed some prorgram from gpib to RS-232 but i couldn't.
In another attempt i find a good "votltage sweep and measure current" VI that work with RS-232 in labview 5.1.1. i converted it to 2008 but it need to old driver (ke24xx.dll) and dont work in my labview 2010 and I could't find old driver.
in these 10 days, my project on thesis has been stopped and i couldn't do anything for our keithley.
    Please helpe...
in following i attached these files:
1-first it is voltage sweep that works with GPIB
2-Vi that i change gpib port to visa (rs232) that i don't know why it dosen't work.
3-it is Vi related to "votltage sweep and measure current" that works with RS-232 but need to old dirver so i can not use it.
4-SubVi needed to run program of 3 (but there is no driver for these subVIs) has been atached in reply post of this post
if any body has this program ("votltage sweep and measure current" that work rs-232) please send for me
    thanks in advances.

The first time you asked this exact same question, you were given the way to get the driver and told that one of the examples does exactly what you want to do. You have chosen to disreregard this and pursue other options for these close to 10 days. If your thesis is stalled, that is really your own fault for not listening to the answers you were given. I have no idea why you would do this but I would suggest you go back to the original thread, reread it. and if you want further help, explain what the problem with the NI driver is.

  • Charting data from text file in LabVIEW 5.1 for Windows

I am having some difficulties trying to figure out how to plot a chart with
data from a file. I would like to be able to read data from a text file
into a chart using LabVIEW 5.1 for Windows. I have looked in the help
within the program and online. I have also looked in the user manual and
the book "LabVIEW for Everyone". Could you please give me specific
instructions on how I would construct the program to be able to do this.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ellie,
It depends on how data is stored in that txt file. Usually you load the data into an array either using or , the array if necessary and send it to the graph indicator in required form. If you want a more detailed answer, send me a sample data file ([email protected]).

  • Name TCURC is not in the namespace for generated BI meta objects

    Hi,
When I try to load data into infocube, I get a short dump during the DTP load with the below message
    UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    Exception: CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE
Upon analysing the dump analysis I found the below system fields
    SY-MSGTY E

    SY-MSGNO 019
    SY-MSGV1 TCURC
which gives the message text "Name TCURC is not in the namespace for generated BI meta objects"
If I remove the mapping with Amount KF in the TRFN and load data it works fine without error but on mapping the KF with currency unit I get this error. It is something related to Currency but I'm unable to figure out the problem.
Any suggestions on what could be the problem?
    Thanks.

    Is this the real error?
Please, can you check the currency conversion with the function module CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY?
Have you customize the currency-tables? Use the functions RSA1 -> source system -> context menu -> global settings + exchange rate

  • Visual Glitch in Labview 8.2 for OS X

    Hello,
I recently got LabVIEW 8.2 for Mac OS X and I'm having some problems with visual glitches in block diagrams. When I scroll the window, everything looks ok until I mouse over something (a wire or a function). If I mouse over a function for example, a second image will appear where the function originally was before I scrolled the window. If a structure is highlighted, the corners and centers of each side will turn white where the resize squares would be.
Minimizing the window or dragging something else over the window does not fix the problem. Closing the block diagram and reopening it or scrolling it completely off the screen then back on does fix it, however unless I switch to the front diagram and back the glitches simply happen again. I attached a screenshot of the problem, let me know if anything else would be helpful.
I'm running OS X 10.4.10 and have an ATI Radeon 9600 with a 20 inch cinema display.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I contacted support about this problem and they were able to reproduce the problem. Since I didn't find anything about this problem when I searched the forums, hopefully if anyone else runs into this they can find this thread.
The things I do to get around it are:
    1. Don't scroll with the mouse wheel. Use the scroll bars on the sides instead.
    2. If you do scroll with the wheel, switch to the front panel and back before you mouse over anything.
    3. If the screen gets messed up, closing the block diagram and using ctrl-e to immediately open it again is probably the best way to fix it.

  • How to design LabVIEW programming for temperature monitoring using 4 thermocouples

    Hi all.
Sorry if this seems a simple question but I really sorry for the troubles. I'm a new user with LabVIEW and currently using LabVIEW 8.6 for a final year project of mine. I’m trying to monitor the temperature reading in 4 different depth of pavement for every 1 hour interval continuously for 1 month duration. Basically I’ll be using 4 separate thermocouples type J and NI 9219 device. My problems are:
I’m not sure how to design the LabVIEW programming for my application.
How to get the temperature reading data in Excel spread sheet.
How to set the min, max and average daily temperature for each thermocouple.
     Thank You.

  • DESPERATELY NEED LabVIEW help ASAP for hire

Need LabVIEW expert ASAP for help with outputting a digital signal.  $50-$75 to start - probably would only take an hour though. Would like service by Monday the 24th if possible. Over the phone or on site (Ann Arbor, MI) will work.   Please contact [email protected] or [email protected]
We are working with a USB 6501 DAQ board, LabVIEW 8.5, and need to send a 3.5-5 V DC signal for controlled second time intervals (on/off).  For example, send signal for 15 seconds. Turn off for 45. Do this for 3 outputs and repeat this process as many times as controlled by the user.

    I hope this isn't homework
