Labwindows 2013 not responding

I am using Labwindows 2013 SP1 on Windows 7
This morning I made some code changes to my project when I clicked on the "Debug Project" Icon, the project build succeeded and then Labwindows just hangs up, saying "Not Responding". I killed the project and relaunched labwindows and tried again and it does the same thing. I backed off all changes I did today to what it was yesterday when I did not have this problem and tried again and it is still hanging with "not responding".
I went to labwindows 2013 about 4 months ago and I have never had this problem until today and now it wont go away.
I am completely at a standstill. Can anyone help me fix this problem?
Thanks
John W.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Hi, John.
The log you sent in seems to indicate you have over 750 watch expressions in your current workspace. This hang you are experiencing is likely a result of LabWindows/CVI attempting to update all of those watch expressions.
I reproduced a considerable hang by adding only 700 watch expressions, all for a single int value in my application.
To fix this issue, you can remove the watch expressions. If you cannot access them interactively from the LabWindows/CVI environment, you can delete them from the bottom of your CWS file. You can do this in a text editor.
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Daniel D.

  • Excel 2013 not responding when doing refresh all for enbedded quires.

    System:
    Windows 8.1
    Intel I7 620 CPU
    12 GB ram
    Office 2013
    Issue 1:
I have a excel file with 29 data from WEB quires. These are quires for stock data and the only difference in them is the ticker symbol. When I request a refresh all Excel goes into a not-responding mode and I have to quit the program to stop it. This same
file ran OK in Excel 2010. I have the data on sheet one and about half the quires on sheet 2 and the remaining quires on sheet 3. Each quire downloads data a small table and cells in sheet one reference cells in sheet two and three. Two cells are accessed
from each table. I had a Microsoft support person on the line today and she had me repair office, which didn't help. I removed Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 and redid all the quires and that didn't help. Each quire can be refreshed individually.
I also have a laptop with Office 2013 and Excel has the same problem with the same file.
    Issue 2:
Each row holds information about a given stock and gets current stock price and dividend percent from its quire table. The stock price comes from column A and the dividend percent come from column C two rows below the row the price is in. Every
time a do a refresh the cell that references the data in Column C comes from two rows below the row it should come from. This does not happen for every stock only some of them. The reference to the data from the A column is always correct. This problem was
    happening in Excel 2010 too.

    Hi,
    To your first issue:
Excel 2013 not responding may be caused by some reasons. Let's do some tests to narrow down the issue:
Method 1: Verify/install the latest updates
Method 2: Start Excel in safe mode
Method 3: Investigate possible issues with add-ins
Method 4: Check whether your antivirus software is up to date or is conflicting with Excel
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2758592/en-gb
If the issue still exists, please upload the event log in the thread, I'll do more deeply
    research.
To your second issue, would you like to upload a sample of the Excel file by using SkyDrive? I want to test in my PC.

  • Outlook 2013 Not Responding and Offline Address Book Issues with Office 365

Around 3 months ago I setup a small business with Office 365 for email. They have 10 PCs, all running newly installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, eight with Office 2013 and two with Office 2010. All are connected to a local domain (Server Essentials
2012) with a single internet connection through a new TP-LINK router. Each user logs into their own PC only.
The network runs perfectly, internet connection is good but there seems to be RANDOM, INTERMITTENT issues with email not being SENT from Outlook every so often. Email will sit in the outbox for up to an hour sometimes before, eventually, being sent. Incoming
email seems ok, although this is more difficult to tell. At others times, email will be sent instantly - the size of the message and any attachments makes no difference.
The issue has happened at some point on every one of the PCs but no particular PC/user seems worse than any other. When email is stuck on one user's PC it can still be sent ok by other users at the same time - so the internet connection is not down. Users can
can always login to the OWA service ok and iPhones etc. all sync ok even when email is stuck in the Outbox.
To debug the issue I have worked on one particular user's PC and carried out the following changes -
    Changes that made no difference
I have checked the router. A SPI firewall is available on the router but this is switched off.
I have changed the MTU on the router with no effect.
There are no unsual add-ins to Outlook
Outgoing email virus scanning is disabled
Outlook is NOT integrated with Lync
The OST file is around 1.7 GBytes is size.
I have recreated the Outlook profile twice but this made no difference
Switched OFF "Cached Exchange Mode" - this made things worse !
The Outlook address book is set to \Offline Global Address List
I have disabled with Windows firewall on the client PC - no change
I have adjusted the KeepAliveTime for packets in the registry of the PC to 20 minutes
Changes that reduced the frequency of "Not Responding"
I have changed the Outlook automatic Send/Receive time from 30 to 10 minutes - this seemed to help
    Possible Related Problem
I have attempted to download the offline address book manually - this hangs at "Copying offline address book template file" in the Send/Receive dialog and there a NO OAB files in the data file location on the PC.
So the only measure that has so far "helped" has been the Outlook Send/Receive time change - now set to 10 minutes. Even so, Outlook will occasionally go "Not Responding" for 30 minutes or more (no windows active - only option
is to close and reopen Outlook).
There does seem to be a problem with the Offline Address book. I can download this ok for this user on my home PC (Outlook 2010) but this will not download manually on the work pc with Outlook 2013 (despite following all the debug steps above).
On work PC I can see literally hundreds of "Schannel" errors in the Windows System event logs -
    Error - Event 36888 Schannel
The following fatal error was generated :10
The internal error state is 10
These errors occur every 2-4 minutes continually all the time Outlook is running. When Outlook is closed the "Schannel" errors stop !
Can anyone suggest what else to try, please ?
I have already investigated this issue on the Office 365 Community Forum, and the Outlook forum and they suggested that it was a client (i.e Outlook) issue and that I should post here for further information.
    Thanks for reading !

    An update to this problem.
I brought one of the office PCs back to my home network and connected it up there. With no changes to the PC I was immediately able to download the Offline Address Book without errors.
This suggests to me that there must be some problem with the internet connection or router setup in the office environment.
The router is a TP-LINK W8970. The internet connection is PPPoA. I have seen some suggestion that an SPI firewall can cause issues. This router has an SPI firewall but this feature is disabled on the router.
While investigating this issue I have frequently been connected remotely to an office PC - sometimes for up to an hour or more. During these periods I have not experienced any connection dropouts so the actual internet connection seems to be ok (i.e. it is
    not dropping out).
However, something seems to be preventing the Outlook client from connecting properly with the Office 365 Exchange server in the office environment - or something is dropping the connection to Outlook. Does anyone know of any router settings that might affect
    this ?
I could try changing the office router but I do not have a spare available. Can anyone suggest a reasonably low cost, currenbtly available router that they know definitely works in the Office 365 environment so that I could buy this for test purposes ?

  • Lync 2013 not responding

side question: why no Lync 2013 dedicated forum in the options? not even in Office (365)?
We have several computers where the Lync 2013 goes to "not responding" every time you try to do something but also when you leave it alone (only program running according to task manager - just to check it is not crashing ...).
The first computers presenting the symptoms were Dell Precision M4500 laptops (8GB RAM) upgraded to Windows 8.1 several month before the issue started.
Lync started crashing on computer A in the days following a series of updates done on May 28th. Computer B (same hardware, same age) had been offline for a while, was updated on June 13th and Lync started crashing as well.
First suspect: one of the updates common to both computers at the time of the crash
    - kb2768005 security update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2878316 security update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2768016 update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2880462 update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2726952 update for MS Publisher 2013
    - kb2817301 update for MS Visio 2013
    - kb2920189 security update fo MS Windows
    - kb2926765 security update for MS Windows
    - kb2931366 security update for MS Windows
    - kb2956575 update for MS Windows
    - kb2962140 update for MS Windows
    - kb2965065 update for MS Windows
All "suspect" updates have been uninstalled one at a time except for kb2920189 "required by your computer, cannot be uninstalled (windows update standalone updater)" - no improvement
Suspect number two: Bluetooth >> try running Lync with the bluetooth off (and also the wi-fi off) - no improvement
Supsect number three: graphical adapter because the only error in event viewer is related to nvvsvc.exe >> update the driver software of NVIDIA Quadro FX880M - no improvement
At this point, Lync crashes also on computer C (Dell Precision M4400 laptop - 4GB RAM - NVIDIA Quadro FX1700M - no bluetooth).
Deleting the Outlook Profile, launching a repair of Office 2013 and restarting the computer makes no difference.
Tests all done with same user (working fine on other computers).
    Any ideas ? THX

There are almost always a driver issue, but they're not always easy to fix.  I'll often remove the brand-name drivers and let native Windows drivers take over to see if I can make it go away before trying to find the culprit.
You're on the right track though.  Rather than uninstall, see if you can a similar model and update it until you can break it.

  • Outlook 2013 'Not responding' errors

    Hi,
I'm looking for someone who can help me with an issue that's been the been of my existence for the last couple of weeks/months. I tried every suggestion the Internet has to offer and I'm kinda at the end of my rope here.
On a couple of our workstation we are experiencing serious problems with outlook 2013. The users who use outlook extensively (administrative and management) get 'not responding' messages at random intervals. This can occour when typing a mail, navigating
    in Outlook,...
Most problems occur when working in the calendar ans when planning appointments in calendars of other user.
They all use Windows 7 pro 64b laptops that are no older then a year. When they used outlook 2010 none of them experienced any problems.
Here's a summation of what i tried already
    - Reinstall office
    - Reinstall OS
    - Replace laptop
    - Latest Update
    - Disable all COM-addins (in outlook and in registry on all levels)
    - Disable hardware acceleration (in outlook and registry)
    - Ran the Outlook FIXIT tool
    - Ran OFFCAT
None of the diagnostic tools i used reveal any critical errors.
When i check the log, there is an error but it doesn't reveal any info as to what caused it.

    Hi,
Which account type are you using? If you are using Exchange server account, please swtich the online/cache Exchange mode to check the result
Please also check if the Outlook data file size exceed the limit? If so, it may cause some unexpected behavior. Please refer to the following KB article to change the data file size limit:

  • Outlook 2013 not responding when creating a new email item in Windows 8

This issue occurs intermittently. No add-ins are running. No anti-virus programs are running. Outlook does not respond and it must be restarted. This issue also affects reply email items and forwarding email items as well.

    Hi,
Which type of email account are you using? POP3, IMAP or Exchange?
If you are using a POP3 email account with an Exchange server account configured in the same profile, this issue may happen because the
delivery folder selection is corrupt and you are referencing a nonexistent folder. To fix it, in Outlook 2013, click on the File tab >
Info > Account Settings > Account Settings > Highlight your POP account, then click Change Folder. Select a proper folder to deliver to. For more information, please refer:

  • Outlook 2013 Not Responding Windows 8.1

I updated to 8.1 last week. Since then my Outlook (2013) will occasionally freeze. It sits at Not Responding until I close it or restart Outlook. Once it refused to send messages in my Outbox. Upon restarting Outlook the outgoing messages were lost, meaning
not in Outbox and not Sent.
My email is run on a third party Exchange Server and they believe it is a MS problem. Any thoughts on what I need to update, etc?

    Hi,
Are you using Outlook with Cached Exchange mode enabled? If not, please enable it to check the result.
Please first try to open Outlook in safe mode to check if this issue is caused by problematic add-ins. To do this, hold Ctrl key and then double-click on the Outlook shortcut to open it. If the problem would be gone in safe mode, please go to File >

  • Office 2013 not responding at close.

Hey everybody, I've been having this issue with this one user. When he goes to close Word or Excel it hangs. He has to close it with task manager. We have uninstalled/reinstalled office, upgraded his office(previously had 2010), did a office repair, wiped his computer, got him a new computer, and did the usual malwarebytes/delete temp files/uninstall programs and it keeps doing this. It works for a little bit then starts again. I looked in the logs today and got this error for word and excel:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Error 7/30/2015 11:27:23 AM Application Error 1000 (100)Faulting application name: EXCEL.EXE,version: 15.0.4737.1000, time stamp: 0x55801affFaulting module name: EXCEL.EXE, version:15.0.4737.1000, time...

  • Office 2013 outlook (not responding) opening attachments over a WAN link

Before I get to the question I'll give you some info about our arcitecture.
We have 7 remote sites each with 5mb connections.
    5-10 computer at each site
We are running exchange 2010 centrally from one server on a 20mb connection.
All clients are running windows 7 64bit with office 2013
We recetly upgraded from office 2003 to 2013 when this problem started.
If a user clicks on an attachment from one of our remote sites, and if the attachment is larger than 150kb the outlook client displays (not responding) for up to two minutes.  If you wait long enough the attachment will open without error.  It
doesnt matter if its a word docuemnt, PDF, JPG they all respond the same.  There are several active application add-ins running I have not tried to disable  any of them yet.
    Acrobat PDFMaker office com addin
Lync meeting addin for microsoft office 2013
    microsoft exchange addin
microsoft sharepoint server colleague import addin
    microsoft vba for outlook addin
    onenote notes about outlook items
    outlook social connector 2013
    symantec endpoint protection outlook addin
I should also mention theres plenty of bandwidth free at both ends of the pipe.  Moving the same file size accross the network literally takes only takes a second or less.
How can I go about troubleshootng this issue further?
    Has anyone else experieced this?
What have you done to fix it?

    Hi,
According to your description, I understand that all attachments in Outlook are opened slowly since updating Outlook 2003 to 2013. Please confirm whether all users encounter this issue. Also check whether the issue continues in cached mode and in OWA.
Based on your post, I suggest we can try to disable the following add-ins to check whether the issue persists:
    Acrobat PDFMaker office com addin
    symantec endpoint protection outlook addin
If there is any updates, please feel free to let us know.

  • Office 2013 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power point) are not responding after live update

I had problems all last week with my Office applications not responding. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software which did not solve the problem. I then did a samsung 5 recovery to factory state and installed office all over again which temporally

  • MS Project Pro 2013 - Auto Level (Not responding)

    Hi,
One of our users has an issue in MS Project Pro 2013 with Automatically levelling (See below). Can anyone suggest what the possible cause of this is? The user is running Windows 8.1 Pro and more than enough RAM + Graphics card is fine.
I would start with the both the Resource Pool and Sharer projects open (as I’m supposed to).  When I select ‘Auto Level’, MS Project would then turn the mouse
into a swirl circle and state (Not Responding) at the top of the page.  If I hovered over the MS Project symbol pinned to my task bar, I would notice that it had opened a third window, though I couldn’t see what that project was as it was greyed out.
I tried this a number of times and had the same result.
    Thank you

    Intellitrain --
Given the fact that no one else has replied to your post, let me just take a stab at it.  A couple things come to mind:
Is the project in question a LARGE project with a large number of tasks and resources (maybe numbering in the thousands of tasks and resource assignments)?  If this were the case, leveling all overallocations at once would take a long time, which could
be why the software seems to go into Not Responding mode.  By the way, I have seen Not Responding messages a lot in Project Server 2010 and 2013 when opening a very large enterprise project.  Microsoft Project shows the Not Responding message, even
though it is actually working at opening the project.
If the project is not a large project, but is smallish in size, then the user might try opening both the project and the shared resource pool file in Read/Write mode, disconnecting the project from the shared resource pool file, saving and closing both
files.  Then the user should reopen both the project and the shared resource pool file, reconnect them, and save both of them again.  Then try leveling.  Does the problem still occur.
If this does not help, there is a possibility that the project is corrupted.  If this is the case, the user should disconnect the project from the shared resource pool file and save it.  Then the user should save the file as an XML file and close
the project.  Finally, the user should open the XML file and save it back as an MPP file.  This is how to resolve a corrupted MPP file.
Just a few thoughts.  Hope this helps.

  • Logic 9 Session Suddenly Not Responding

    Greetings,
I am suddenly having issues with a very important Logic session that I have worked on for months (and haven't had any issues with until now).  The problem appeared seemingly overnight.  I can open this particular session, the files and plug-ins load, and the arrange window is displayed.  And then, I cannot do *anything* without getting the color spiral (which spins seemingly forever), until I option+command+escape and see that Logic is not responding.  I force quit and get the following details (pasted below).
FYI - I tried to open other Logic Sessions, and all seem to be working fine.  I have tried deleting my preferences, opening the session without my audio interface, I have reinstalled my operating system, and a 3rd party plug-in or two (that I suspected was the problem), and the problem remains.

I think you may have assigned CC1 to "Automation Quick Access". When you do that, the assigned controller no longer functions as a normal message in Logic, and instead is used to control the currently active automation parameter on the current Arrange track. Try going into the Automation preferences and turn off Automation Quick Access.

  • My iPod Touch (5th generation) is not responding to my touch. There are also several colored lines in the background of my screen. Virus?

Since my iPod isn't responding to my touch, I can't switch it off or restart it as I normally would. I've tried doing the hold-down-the-sleep-button-and-the-home-button-for-ten-seconds thing but when the Apple logo appears, it's either completely pink in color or there are these vertical colored lines in the background. When the lock screen reappears, sometimes it looks completely normal (but it still doesn't respond), or everything's blurred, or there are these weird colours in the background, or those lines I mentioned before, but most of the times, it's completely dark and I can onlu see this moving flash at the bottom of the screen (indicating the presence of the slide to unlock thing).
My computer was recently reformatted because it had had a virus, so I'm worried my iPod has gotten the virus too. I have some data on there that I really can't lose. (I haven't backed up this data because my computer had been on the fritz for the past two weeks).
Is taking it to an Apple Help Centre the only cure? (I purchased the item in March 2013; Is there any chance I can get it replaced for free?) I tried moving the photos from the device to my PC but it says there are no photos in my device. (I've moved my photos before when I'd forgotten my password and was about to reset it.)
I would really like some advice ASAP because if it is a virus, the longer I keep it untouched, the more havoc it causes. i fear.

I do not think talking to Apple will do more than the following:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
