Lack of Bass on the Audig

Hi,?Yesterday I bought an Audigy 4, and connected a Logitech Z-5400 to it.Before I bought the Audigy 4, I used an on-board SoundMax 980, and I had such a great bass (subwoofer-sound)But after I installed my Audigy 4, almost all of the power of my sub is gone....Any suggestions ?

As I said AVOID using the speaker calibrator. Disable any changes you have done using it. If it says your speakers are wired the wrong way is because you made wrong choices in the Calibration wizard. The Speaker Calibrator cannot automatically detect how the wiring ends at the speakers. All its results are based on your selections. So you have most propably made wrong selections (as I had done 00 times until I figured this out). Bad no matter what you choose, it does reduce the Bass output, although it shouldn't. That is why the calibrator was removed from the X-Fi and only the THX?Console remained. The THX Console and the Speaker Calibrator interfere with eachother, so better stick to THX. PS: Also if you use CMSS3D to expand stereo, use the Stereo Surround option. The other two options reduce the bass output, while CMSS2 also adds a lot of reverb.Message Edited by alexs3d2 on 02-25-200608:09 PM

Satellite C55-A-1N1 - lack of bass, tinny sound

Just got my new Toshiba laptop.
Anyone know if there is a fix to the sound issues with this model.
It has been widely reported this model suffers from lack of bass/ tinny sound but I have not yet found a solution.
I think DTS has something to do with it but not 100% sure,
Could it be something to do with the driver?

In the past some notebook owners have reported about the same issue with sound on several Toshiba notebooks although the fact that these notebooks and your Satellite C55-A have small standard stereo speakers only. Such speakers cannot offer some high quality sound like notebooks with build in harman/kardon speakers.
So there is nothing to fix or change. All you can do is to change sound settings on equaliser for player that you use. For better sound you can use either headphones or external speakers.
Sorry but there is not much you can do about it.

Lack Of Bass in C

Hello, I have a audigy 2 ZS, connected to a Creative 5500 Digital speaker systemI dont use the Digital Decoder so the 3 3.5mm jacks go from the back of the soundcard into the Sub bass unit where the speakers are connected?I can use CMSS and CMSS 2 to get music to all 4 speakers, but am unable to get any output from the bass, making the music sound abit crappy?The only way i can get bass in music is to use a digital output with the decoder connected to the 3.5mm jacks,(only?to?left and right not rear?speakers, as expected) ?but this is no good for gaming!?I have the most upto date drivers.Please help.. In Creative Speaker Settings (Start, Program List, Creative, Audigy 2 ZS), click on the Bass Management tab. You should find an option for subwoofer volume and bass redirection. These options should be acti've if you have 5. or more speakers selected, otherwise they are grayed out.

AFAIK, you can't with the internal speakers. Contact Apple's Support, formerly Apple Express Lane, and see what they say.

Acrobat Reader 10.1.4 "lack of data for the image"

when I open the pdf file in version 10.1.3, everything is fine, but when opened this pdf in version 10.1.4 I receive an error message "lack of data for the image" (translate from czech). When set a view magnification less than 120%, everything is fine, but if you set up a larger view, then is not displayed the pdf file.The document also does not print.

We are moving to a new property in Devon. Booked BT well in advance. Also booked 9 other tradesmen fro mAerial installer, plumber, electrician Intruder alarm installation - all turned up when they said they would, did an excellent job.
The tenth person booked? BT of course DID NOT turn up - no communication nothing, zip, zilch.
having worked for BT for nearly 15 years (Global Services) I learnt to comunicate with the customer and if there was a problem, at least offer a solution or time scale to fix. Openreach of course do not have to adhere to this common polite principle!
having told all concerned of our plans everyone, without fail sais " Good luck with BT" I assured them that it was the BT of old they were thinking of - it had changed so much. So eating my words was very painful and embarrasing!
At time of writing, after 3 phone calls and 2 emails Openreach still treat us with disdain. Virgin Media or Talk Talk look like a better bet at present, so I hope all the engineers involved in this remember when they complain about losing their jobs through lack of orders with BT. I'm trying to bear in mind that BT contribute to my pension, but it is difficult!

Sound problems with the Audig

Did your old soundcard sound better than your new one? I purchased a new computer with the SoundBlaster Audigy 4 soundcard. It doesn't sound as good as my old system with a SoundBlaster Li've 5. soundcard. I'm using the same speakers so that can't be it. Just about everything I play sounds like they're singing in a hole. I have changed settings, disabled the bass enhancement, updated drivers, but still I can't fix it. I'm using Windows XP Professional SP2. I was using Windows XP Professional SP with my old system. Could that have been the difference or is it the sound card? I wish I had my old soundcard back. I have a lot of old 45's and LP's that I am trying to record onto cd but I don't want to have to edit each one "with a fine tooth comb" before I burn them to cd. Any suggestions?

Have you disabled EAX effects and CMSS processing?
For recording LP's, I suggest you to use software that supports ASIO or WDM/KS driver modes (these modes gives you the best signal level and 'unmodified' data).
For best quality you can get from Audigy 4, record to stereo wav files using 24-bit/96 kHz 'resolution' (one side (or both sides) of the LP into one wav file) and then, before transfering to CDs, dither/SRC down to CD quality (6-bit/44. kHz) using Voxengo r8brain free. You can split those big files (LP sides A/B or A+B) into tracks w/ most burning software as like w/ Nero (or split using CT WaveStudio). You propably can also add CD-TEXT w/ most present burning software (artist/track name).
<i>IMO, you did get a wrong card for ripping those LP's. From Creative consumer cards, any 'original' X-Fi could have been better and from Creative E-MU brand either 0404 (~$99) or 22M (~$00-$55) would have been even better than X-Fi cards.</i>

Lack of support for the Android Tablet Forum

It seems there is a lack of Lenovo involvement in the Android Tablet forum. I'm posting here in order to point this out as someone with Lenovo really needs to follow up on the issues there. Many of us are waiting on the Lollipop update for our tablets and the roadmap states that an update was released, yet no consumers have it. It even went so far that a Lenovo employee told people that their Lollipop update would be released country by country starting that day, and almost a month later, no one on the forum has it (possibly no one worldwide). This lack of support will drive some customers away. We don't ask for much, just keep us up to date and let us know that our issues are not ignored. Right now, we feel ignored. The hardware of the tablets are very nice and extremely capable, we just need some guidance and answers.

Lenovo just doesn't care. All they want is a quick sell with absolutly NO SUPPORT !!.They may well sell good hardware but it is all useless without some support. Are all companys this bad?

Is there any plans to increase the functionality of the format PLSQL function? Compared to TOAD, it is extremely limited. The TOAD formatter alone is enough to keep our organization from switching to SQL Developer.

Why the lack of support with the iOS6 wi-fi issue

With all the problems created with problems of connectting to wi-fi after installing iOS6, why have all the high level technicians disappeared from the discussions pages. Lots of help offered from users, lots of solutions but some of us are still unable to connect after trying these methods, but no high level intervention. Page doesn't flush to the bottom of the screen, despite the lack of content on the page

On the home page of my website, the content doesn't fill the whole screen, therefore the footer isn't flushed to the bottom of the screen. Is there a way for the footer to automatically flush to the bottom for any resolution? Here is a link to my page so you can see the example:

This is where it gets tricky for me!
I have never used a sticky footer - I just don't like the idea and it has always seemed a bit over complicated to me.
I did have a go at applying it to your page and got it to work without too much difficulty but, adding an effect like this to an established page is tricky because it's hard to see how different components interact with each other.
The basic advice from the sticky footer site is to use this as fundamental structure to the page:

If you want to go this way then I would suggest starting from the beginning with that HTML and adding your content to it.   Notice that the footer is outside the wrapper and your content would need to go in the #main div. They have page giving instructions on the site and a wedge of CSS that you can just cut and paste into your style sheet.
You have chosen to use a liquid layout (which is a part of the problem with width that you have asked about in your other post). I agree that a liquid layout is a neat idea but again, I don't like it so much because it's over complicated.. For instance, your page doesn't look so good in a wide monitor.
One other way to get your footer further down the page would be to add some content to your sidebar. How about a mission statement or a green quote of some kind or a pull quote from your text?
