Lack of sound for YouTube videos

My iPad2 doesn't play any sound when I watch YouTube videos in Facebook. All the settings within Souns appear to be correct. It's been kike this since iOS6 update.

I tried both your suggestions but still no change.
The 10.4.10 update has definitely increased my Mac's maximum sound output. It's now a lot louder than it used to be, but at the expense of killing sound in my browser

Suddenly No Sound on YouTube Videos

In the last couple of weeks, I suddenly have no sound on YouTube Videos and a few other Interent sites. I still have sound for some sites such as Ted.com and sound for local and previously downloaded videos so I know my sound card works. I've double checked the sound volumes in Preferences and have tried restarting the computer. Any suggestions?

Currently no sound for windows and no sound for youtube but I have sound for songs saved in windows media player and the sound tests accessed through the speaker icon in the tray. What can I do?

music and video has their own volume slider it's displayed in the player itself lowing the normal phone volume does not affect the media volume

This is not the place to make a point. This is a user to user support forum. I do not need instructions about the use and care or alleged failure of cables. At no time did I ever say or imply that you were an idiot, that is your statement and words, not mine. Take the time to Google and you will find instances where there have been injuries and death dealing with 3rd party cables and chargers. I get no sound for YouTube or music when headphones are out. Speaker phone works fine. It appears to be software issues. Any ideas?

I have an iPhone 4s w/iOS 5.0.1. YouTube and music player do not produce sound w/out headphones being plugged in. The speaker phone and other phone sounds continue to work properly. The volume buttons on the side of the phone do not control volume unless the headphones are plugged in. When you go to 'settings' then 'sounds' and make sure 'change with buttons' is selected, the volume bar will not move with the buttons until I make the volume change on the bar with my finger - then the buttons control the volume bar (but still no sound for YouTube or the music player without the headphones). It appears to be some type of software issue. I have read the post about theap home thinking the headphones are still plugged in, but that would not explain why some sound works and others do not. Any ideas?

From your post I understand you're not getting any audio output from your speakers when you're playing games. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.

What is the best video settings for the x200 for youtube videos. 720p-30/ 720p-60/ 1080p-30 .

In my opinion the 720p-30 is good enough for Youtube.

Sound on iPad Mini for youtube videos doesn't work

iPad mini will play youtube videos just fine, but no sound. When accessed through facebook app, video tube, no sound. When accessed through YouPlayer, sound works fine. All other system sounds/music/etc fully functional. Nothing is muted, all volume controls that I can find are up.
Any ideas?

Obviously a problem with those apps then.
You can try this:
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

No sound on YouTube videos on all browsers.

I know this is a somewhat common problem and I have had and resolved this problem before, but all of the common fixes do not seem to be working.
I have:
Opened and closed Garageband
Force Quit the core audio in Activity Monitor
Made sure the output is set to 44.1 in the Audio MIDI Setup utility
Deleted and reinstalled the Flash plugin in the Internet Plug-ins folder
Deleted and reinstalled Safari.
Is there anything else I can try?
I created a temporary user account and it works fine in that account but not my main account.

This is going to sound stupid, but if you haven't done so check the actual youtube volume setting for the video you are trying to play. I had the same problem you do a couple days ago - I finally realized that for some reason the volume had become muted and I just hadn't noticed it. The volume indicator is right below the video to the right.

I'm not stupid, I do have my volume up and the YouTube video isn't muted, but i have no sound when i watch YouTube videos. The video is playing but no sound. If anyone could help i would really appriciate it. Thanks!

     Press the "Delete All" button
2. Install Adobe Flash Player.

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.

Updated to IOS6 on my iPad 2. Now I do not get sound with YouTube videos. Anyone know a fix?

Ever since I updated my IOS to six I have not been able to get sound when playing YouTube videos in the safari browser. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I had the same problem there is no fix except to go to Apple store and get a replacement phone. Or buy a newer phone. I tried everything as well. SIM Card, Restore, etc. Try to do a full restore and add the phone back into Itunes as a new phone not from the back-up and see if that works first. If it doesn;t get a new phone. Then when you get the new phone set it up as a new phone as well do not use your back-up or the same thing will happen. Stay using 4.3.3 until version 5.01 comes out which will hopefully be soon

No sound for YouTube on Safari

Literally from one day to the next I suddenly cannot get sound on YouTube or any videos posted on other websites (except for ads). Any help out there?

I forgot to include in my post that I had downloaded the new flash after the "no audio" began and it did not help. The problerm began some time after I installed OS 10.7.4.

No sound on youtube videos/audio posts but itunes works.

When I go to youtube, the volume on the youtube videos are up all the way and so is my sound but nothing is heard. I've tried multiple videos. Also, when I'm on tumblr, the audio posts don't play either BUT when I listen to itunes, the tracks play perfectly and I can hear it.

YouTube uses Adobe Flash, maybe you can re-install Flash or right click on the video and check the sound settings
