Lack of week view in Calendar

It appears to us that Apple has no sign to improve it although every user is unhappy with this shortcoming in the design of the Calendar. Any 3rd party software can fill this hole? What I am looking for is the week number can be shown in the icon like the icon of Calendar showing the date and the start date of the week number can be defined by the user. Thanks!

Hi Dave, thanks for your recommendation. I cannot find where to set the starting date of the 1st week and could you please give me the guidance. Our company starts a new financial year from the 1st week of May every year.

Using IOS 5, but no camera from lock-screen or Week view in Calendar, as promised. What can I do?

Thanks. I don't know if it seems obvious to everyone, but it shouldn't be needed to double click to seet it. If anyone finds out why there isn't a week view in the Calendar native app, or a way to make it avaiable I would be thankfull. If not, I will continue using third party app for that purpose.

  • How to create Two Week View of Calendar in Sharepoint 2010.

There is an option of Week View when i am using Calendar web part, it is showing 1 week view.
I want to create Two(2) week view of Calendar.
How can i create Two week view of Calendar.
    Please Help.
    Thanks.

    Hi Priyeshrawat,
Calendar web part doesn’t provide settings to display two weeks view.
Based on my understanding, you need to custom a server control to show as the calendar, just like the default calendar control. B y default calendar web part doesn’t contain property to set this.

  • New feature request--week view in calendar when in landscape mode

Is the possible? Would be a great feature. I would like to see week view mode as well as day and month in the calendar app.

This is a user-to-user peer support forum, so posting here will not get your idea to Apple. I suggest that you send your idea to Apple by using the iPhone Feedback page:

  • Please add week view to Calendar!  Do you agree?

Not sure why this was left out, but week view is an important component to my iCal usage, yet it was left off the iPhone Calendar. Didn't find any reasons posted here or elsewhere...
I'm using the app SaiSuke Free ($0.00), which shifts to the week view when in landscape mode, but it sure would be nice to have that integrated into the Apple Calendar app instead. I didn't know where else to post this, but would like Apple to hear about it.
    Do you agree?
    Fred

Thanks, jimHDk and paulcb for the input. I've posted some feedback.
Would still like to hear how others feel on this, though. I've thought I was going crazy in missing that feature...

  • Dynamic week view in calendar

    Hey everybody,
Is there any way to display the week in a DYNAMIC way in calendar for mac (showing e.g. the past 2 and future 4 days rather than a fixed Monday to Sunday view)? Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best, C.

Rachel, what happens if you rotate your iPod Touch so that it is in landscape mode while viewing your Calendar?

  • 2 weeks view in Calendar

In previous versions of OS X, there were ways to enable 2 (or more) weeks view in iCal / Calendar. There was a debug menu and then there was a Terminal script that allowed this. Yosemite has seem to take this option away.
Has anyone found a way to enable this in Yosemite?

    Hi Darkschneider,
If you want to view two weeks, you can use month view. It includes two weeks view.
Or you can use two calendars, each calendar show one week.

  • How do you get Week View for Calendar

Is there a trick to get a week view. I have List, Today and Month options, but now week. Thanks.

Maybe I was dreaming I thought I had seen it before, but I guess not. At any rate, I've sent Apple feedback requesting this. As someone else said, it would be even more cool if rotating the phone into landscape mode would automatically bring up the Week view.

  • Why is my Week view in calendar only showing 3 days on one screen?

When I go online to check this out, I see that everyone else's week view (in portrait mode) has the full 5 days on one screen. Mine only shows 3 days at once and I have to swipe to the next screen to see the rest of the week.
    Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Does any body have any idea?

  • IOS calendar month in week view

Yes, I do remember it now. Thanks for that.

Yes, the month is not shown, but give it a turn (back to portrait) you have the month and day highlighted.

  • Weekly view missing!!!

Alright… i am really happy with my iphone, BUT there is a major function missing in the calendar function. There is no weekly view! I hope the smart people at apple will soon come up with an update...

I don't know if this will ever carry over to the iPhone Calendar, but the iPad Calendar seems to have a week view mode:
    "Calendar
+iPad makes it easy to stay on schedule by displaying day, week, month, or list views of your calendar. You can see an overview of a whole month or the details of a single day. iPad even shows multiple calendars at once, so you can manage work and family schedules at the same time."+

  • More days in week view

Found a tip recently to change the dafault number of days within the week view of Calendar:
    Change to 14 days:
    Close Calendar
    Open Terminal
    enter following command within Terminal:
    defaults write com.apple.iCal CalUIDebugDefaultDaysInWeekView XX
XX to be replaced by the amount of days you want to show!
Resetting it to the default of 7 days:
Same code within Terminal, XX replaced by 5 or 7......

    barns,
Apple Discussions is just a user-to-user forum. You should not expect any response from an Apple employee.
    Also, check your settings in:
    System Preferences...>International>Formats>Dates>Customize.
There will be a Show: field which has Short/Medium/Long/Full. I am not sure which one fills iCal. Change them one at a time and experiment with individual settings.
As you can see the International Preference has additional time settings in:
    System Preferences...>International>Formats>Times>Customize.
I am not using Leopard, so I am not certain about the exact configuration of that preference pane.
    ;~)

  • Calendar lacks week view

The Apple ICal program is excellent on Mac and IPad. I was so grateful that I could switch between month, week, day and list views, eliminating my need for any Franklin Covey or Daytimer system.
On the IPhone (3GS; OS 4), it lacks the "week" at a time view. This is the most productive view of the calendar for business functions. If anything, the list view should have been eliminated.
ATTENTION APPLE: PLEASE ADD THE WEEK VIEW TO THE CALENDAR APPLICATION FOR IPHONE IN FUTURE UPDATES.
    Thank you.

No idea how many users complaint on this already by using the feedback form, but you'll never get an answer from Apple. Kind of arrocance towards customer's voice ...
