Lacking information about white iPhone 3G upgrades in the UK

In the UK, O2 does not publish any information about the white iPhone on its website. Why ??? when will the white iPhone be available as an upgrade at O2 stores ? calling O2, CPW, and Apple brings conflicting information and no clear availability. This is appalling customer service from O2 and Apple. They should be ashamed!
Has anyone been lucky enough to get a clear, concise, definitive answer from Apple and/or O2?

Hello all - because posts are being deleted from apple discussions, and there are other sites with similar queries all over the place a blog has been set to collect any info going around about availability of white iPhones to us LOYAL, up-graders.
Time to stop the usual CS emails: "I'm sorry we're unable to tell you the availability date of the iPhone 3G in white version."
Is that: unable - I have no mouth; unable - I haven't got a clue; unable - they won't let me tell you?

No way really for anyone here to give you an answer to that question. You would need to either send it to Apple for evaluation, or take it into the genius bar at a nearby Apple Store and ask them about it. Only an Apple employee could make the call, and they would need to see and handle it to decide.

I've just bought an new laptop and downloaded itunes. I plugged in my iphone and upgraded to the newest itunes/ synched etc. Now I have no music or apps on my phone. The contacts photos and texts all seem fine. Just the itues stuff that's missing.

Contacts, texts, photos all fine. Just all itunes content that is missiing. It isn't showing in my itunes account on my computer or on my phone. Any idea how to get it back? (No point synching with itunes on my computer as it isn't there either!)

I suggest copying your entire iTunes library to your new computer, also you might want to copy the photos you want to save. Then sync your device to the new iTunes and copy over your music, documents and photos that you want.
If you are no longer going to use the old computer you should open up iTunes on the old computer and use the menu to deauthorize it. Be sure to use the same iTunes menu on your new computer to Authorize the new one.

Dont tell me the iPhone 4 white and black were the same size, cause it isnt, i dont need a micrometre to measure, a case that fit on my black iphone 4 does not fit on my white iphone. apple said the iphone 4 black/white were the same colour. they are also saying this about the iphone 4S. what do you guys know about this.

How could anyone here answer that since none of us have received any iPhone 4S yet, let alone both a white and black to compare. We are just users such as yourself. Apple doesn't reveal any inside info to us (except on if I tell you, I'll have to kill you basis - and they mean it).

Alright, just got my white iPhone 4 2 days ago and i noticed that it came with lint stuck on the sides of the homebutton and my questions are
1) Will apple replace this phone?
2) Will I get a retail swap or a phone out of the black box?

Okay, i tried that and now I think that this isnt lint. I saw it as soon as I opened the box so it might be something else. When i took the vacuum to it all the other little hairs came out except for this black dot. Do you think that apple will replace it?

I now have three 3G iP's, in boxes.
Can the 3G be used as ipods and mail account over the wifi. since the Sim cards have been deactivated.
is it safe to resell the 3g after you reset the iphone. as fare as I can tell none of our personal info is on the phone. Is there some hidden file that might have our data on it.

You can use a no longer activated iPhone as an iPod Touch, but in order to install a firmware update on a no longer activated iPhone or restore a no longer activated iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, the no longer activated SIM card must be inserted in the iPhone - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when it was activated.
Performing an erase all contents and settings reset option on an iPhone is a secure erase. When selling an iPhone, remove the SIM card since the buyer will need to use a different SIM card when activating the iPhone.

Curious , I want the white one , but then I'm hearing then the black doesn't break as easy .

I don't think anyone can say for sure... there are slight differences in how they manufacture the glass for the white color vs black... but in my opinion there is NO difference onhow easily they'd break.
There are also some great warranty's that cover damage and even liquid spills and full immersion you could purchase for pretty cheap that can ease your mind...

Why do they Discuntinue iPhone App's? There were 2 iPhone App Games I Really really enjoyed Playing & they were both Wrestling iPhone Games & they Discontinued them?

I Really Really liked those 2 Games & they went & Discontinued them, Shame on @WWE & Apple
