Yes, the functionality of LACP is very similar to PAGP excepting that LACP is an IEEE standard.

Here's Cisco's explanation of LACP:
Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) is part of an IEEE specification (802.3ad) that allows you to bundle several physical ports together to form a single logical channel. LACP allows a switch to negotiate an automatic bundle by sending LACP packets to the peer. It performs a similar function as Port Aggregation Protocol (PAgP) with Cisco EtherChannel.

Well, they have to be, or you couldn't send layer 3 IP packets over the layer 2 links. In IPv4 the connection between layer 3 (IP) and layer 2 (say, ethernet) is most often via the Address Resolution Protocol, layer 2 ethernet type 0x0806 (IPv4 being 0x0800 and IPv6 0x86dd).
In IPv6 the connection is instead via the ICMPv6 neighbor discovery protocol. Neighbor discovery was invented with goals like getting more uniformity into the layer 3->2 transition over different link types, and better duplicate and dead address detection.

Slow link detection of profiles

Hi
When I implemented DA I had to stop roaming profiles to keep the logon time short. Unfortunately I have been asked about slow link detection as a solution and found that the DA clients didn't recognise the slow link. From the few posts I saw on
this it "looks" like Slow link detection of profiles is not supported. Can someone tell me if this is the case or is their a work around?

We are experiencing the same problem. Slow link detection however is not an option for us. This is because we still require that the machines are able to process GP updates etc.
Settings which aren't enabled with slow link detection:
The settings that are not downloaded when a slow link is detected include the following:
Disk Quota
Scripts
Folder Redirection
Software Installation
Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies
Wired Network (IEEE 802.3) Policies
Internet Explorer Maintenance Extension
See if any of these are an issue for you and then try slow link detection.
Another potential cause of the problem is if the profile is still carry old XP profile information. Try creating a user account with roaming profile which has only ever logged onto WIndows 7 or WIndows 8; this article explains it in more detail:

In our branch office in Ethiopia we are experiencing some issues with the access to mappings. Our main office is located in the Netherlands. The Offices are connected with a VPN site2site solution.
We map a home folder to H:\ (which is working).
We map a Document share to L:\ (which is not working).
We map a Programs share to X:\ (which is not working).
All shares are DFS namespace.
We have set the according GPO which results in the following reg keys:

The detection says in the eventvwr (OfflineFiles) says:

So the Homedrive is working.
But when I try to access the DFS root I get:
Windows cannot access "\\DOMAIN.XXX.NL\dfsdata
You do not have permission to access....."
And yes, the user has permission.
So the L-drive and X-drive are not accessible.
How come?

Besides, instead of just focusing on slow link, this issue may be related to DFS namespace.

Script to search and relink linked image files that were moved?

Good afternoon
My indesign product catalog has links with a lot of different folders around in my hard disk, not a single folder. And to keep my catalog up to date I must package it.
When I move my linked files in my computer because I change the folder structure or do some cleaning, my indd loses track of its linked files. Currently I need to relink one by one.
Therefore I would like to find a script which would scan the hard disk with the all broken links in mind to detect their new location and relink. Yes I am a lazy person.

At least your honest about your laziness.... Here's your reward:
Just a hint, don't select root of your volume, it will loop through every folder in existence, but key to this script is, if you know the general location, select into that folder hierarchy and the script will test for a relative path, otherwise, come back in a few days, and it will be finished.

Try these steps. If it doesn't work the first time, try a second time.
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off. (If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.)
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on. (Note: If you see the screen that shows you are out of battery, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.)
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode..."
Use iTunes to restore the device.

Why text and button links on a PDF do not work in the iPad

I have Acrobat Pro 9.2.3 and InDesign CS5.
I've tried creating both button and text links directly from InDesign (Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks). I then export the multi-page PDF with "Acrobat 6 and Above" selected as well as the "Hyperlinks" and "Interactive Elements" checked. When I open the PDF in my iPad, none of the text or button links work.
Then . . .
I tried opening the same multi-page PDF in Acrobat Pro, and manually created the link boxes (Tools > Advanced Editing > Link Tool). The iPad still can't interprete these two interactive elements.
Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

Try exporting as ePub - now test inside Digital Editions and if OK - drag the file into iTunes and synch to iPhone/iPad.
It's probably a Preview issue as mentioned but exporting to ePub is good fun!

1- put your images in a directory under the web app directory. Example: app/images/

In FF 34.0.5 I use to be able to click on a link within an e-mail and the link would open in a new tab; it now opens in the same tab; how can i change it back?

I'm using FF 34.0.5 (I like it). I use to be able to right click on a link, within an e-mail, and the link would open in a new tab. Now when I click on the link it opens in the same tab replacing my e-mail.
Example - a friend sends me an e-mail containing a link to a web site he thinks I'd like. I click on the link and go to the web site and then go back to the e-mail tab and reply to him. Now, when clicking that link, my e-mail disappears and is replaced by the new site.
How can I fix this? When this happened once before I was told to change the 'value' for a specific 'preference name' through the about:config page.
Can anyone help jog my memory?

You can check this pref on the about:config page for external links.

Using firefox 14.0.1. Loading a link using right-click and "Open Link In New Window", results in new window opening but address bar does not show URL. However, if I right click on a link and select "Open Link In New Tab", the Tab shows URL in address bar. So it's working when it's a New Tab but not a New Window.

How to remove connect and workbook link after pressing Save as,Print,Export

I have to remove the connect link and workbook link which appear AFTER pressing Save as,Printable Page,Export in a discoverer viewer report. I had already removed the link in the report itself with changing the uix files, but after pushing the link for export, save as or print the link Connect and Workbook still appear.
I know that I have to change something in UIX Files, but which one and what I have to change...? Have anyone an idea? Thanx for fast reply, it´s a urgent problem.

If the tone really is a single (or at least narrow band) frequency like the picture shows, I'd try the Notch Filter on the Audition/Effects/Filter and EQ menu. It might take some playing around to get the exact frequency and tweak the amount of cut you apply vs. the effect it will have on surrounding frequencies--but if you can get the right balance, you can then easily apply this to the whole of every file.
Sorry, can't help on the Premiere Pro question since I only use Audition.

Firefox sent an email to me to confirm that I had asked the above question. The email had a link to click. When I clicked it from Firefox, nothing happened. Then I opened IE, signed into Comcast, opened the email, clicked the link, and it brought me here.
