MEin Ladekabel für´s fünfer ist kaputt was kann ich da machen ? Als ich selber habe es nicht zersört sondernn beim zusammen rollen oder so ist es anscheindend kaputt gegangen habe ich da garanti drauf ?

Bei mir löst sich zum Einen die Isolierung , zum anderen habe ich Schwierigkeiten nach einer Totalentladung das iPhone 5 mit neuster Software wieder einzuschalten.
In einem Tredt las ich von Kabel nach hinten biegen und schon funktionierte es.
Über Ebay habe ich mir fuer 25.-€ ein 42 teigiges Sortiment an Zubehör aus Deutschland , wohlgemerkt bestellt, das gelieferte nicht orginale Ladekabel ging anfangs auch nicht.
Kann die Ladedose einen Defekt haben?
Die Preispolitik von Apple stößt mich etwas auf, wenn ich für ein Stück Kabel 19,-€ im Telekom Shop löhnen soll .

IPhone 4S going kaput on me!

I bought my iPhone 4S from eBay as a brand new phone. It was someone's insurance replacement & came complete in packaging with all stickers still on and everything. I've had it like three weeks & been getting on with it fine. Tonight I was sending some texts & I thought that a reply had taken a long time. When I looked at the phone to see if I'd missed it the phone wasn't on. Pressing the home button did nothing and neither did pressing the on/off switch. I have pressed all the buttons to no avail. Charging doesn't work & neither does syncing, it looks like it's just gone completely kaput but I have no idea why.
If anyone has any ideas to get it back that'd be great. Thank you very much.

Did you try the troubleshooting steps on page 34 and 132 of the iphone users guide?
"If something is not working right, restarting or resetting iPhone will likely solve the
problem.
Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and
hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

IPhone 5 Ladekabel defekt, kein Umtausch möglich?

ich habe bereits mein 3. iphone 5 Ladekabel kaufen müssen, ein Mitarbeiter der Telekom sagte mir bei meinem 2. Kauf eines neuen Kabels dass ich 1 Jahr Garantie auf das Zubehör habe. Beim 3. mal konnte ich das Kabel auch nach mehr als 6 Monaten umtauschen und ein neues kriegen.
Heute war ich wieder bei einem (anderen) Telekom Shop, da das Kabel schon wieder kaputt ist... so als wenn es einen Wackelkontakt hat, es lädt nur in einer bestimmten Position, aber dann auch nicht richtig. Nach 40 Minuten Wartezeit meinte der Mitarbeiter dass ich nur 6 Monate auf Apple Zubehör Garantie hätte, das Kabel funktioniert seit 1 Woche nicht mehr; hatte es mir am 16. April 2014 gekauf, also quasi 6 Monate und 1 tag her...................
Muss ich mir schon wieder ein neues Kabel kaufen? Kann man da nicht eine Ausnahme machen ? wegen 1 Tag? Und das Kabel ist ja noch IN der Garantiezeit kaputt gegangen....
Kann ich es zu Apple einschicken oder zu einem Apple Shop gehen und es da umtauschen?
Ich will mir noch nicht alle halbe Jahre ein neues Kabel holen....

Is my iPhone kaput for good?

Can I somehow reboot my iphone if the screen is black? Tried to sync my 4s iphone to my Mac home computer but my computer indicates it doesn't recognize my phone. Computer encouraged. me to download most recent version of iTunes but I wasn't able to do so. Now I have a black screen, white apple, and a horizontal bar that is slowly filling in. After 24 hrs, the horizontal line still wasn't filled in. I believe the line/bar is an indication of how far along the reset of the i phone is back to its initial settings. Any suggestions?

Let's start with your Mac. Is it very old? Is it running a very old operating system? The most recent version of iTunes is 11.0.1, which you will need to communicate with iOS 6 (approximately). If your Mac or OS X is too old, you won't be able to use the latest iTunes on it.
Now let's discuss your iPhone. What version of iOS was it running before the attempted upgrade? If you were still on iOS 4, you will have to use iTunes to upgrade. If you were on iOS 5 or 6, you may be able to upgrade without a computer.

Ich bin lebenslanger Fan der deutschen Sprache, obwohl ich eingeborener amerikanischer
Staatsburger bin.
Jetzt will ich ein iPad2 kaufen, da ich es mir eingebildet habe, man könne dadurch eBücher
auf das Gerät herunterladen, die auf Deutsch geschrieben und aus deutschen Websites
gekauft werden.
Mir ist's einmal gesagt worden, daß es schlichtwegs unmöglich ist, mein Plan durchzusetzen,
weil solches Zeug für Besitzer in den USA gekaufter iPads einfach nicht erhältlich ist.
Ob das der Wahrheit entspricht? Ich vermute, daß Sie deutscher Staatsangehörige sind; weiter,
daß Sie Bescheid darüber wüssten, wie man mit dieser Art Herunterladens in Deutschland
umgeht.

IPhone 5s wireless connectivity issues, cannot upload files/state to iCloud, and supposedly needing to do so in order to get my files/state onto a new iPhone 6 Plus

I am trying to get my files from my old iPhone 5s onto my new iPhone 6 Plus. I am currently and have been using iCloud to backup my files/state. However, I believe the antenna on the iPhone 5s went kaput a few months ago, because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, both, do not work at all, meaning, I have tried all solutions including, resetting network settings, restarting the phone, etc. This is problematic because, as far as I know the iPhone 5s needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to a Wi-Fi Hotspot in order to ask the internet, in order to upload current information/state to iCloud. Herein lies my problem.
I have used iCloud already, to download my current files/state to my iPhone 6, with a caveat, these are only the files/state from before the antenna supposedly went kaput. That means, that all of my files/state since that time, while still being on my iPhone 5s, is not uploaded to iCloud, which then means I do not have it on my iPhone 6 which was updated to the most current files/state that was available at the time.
What do I do?
I have iTunes installed on a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Computer, and I have made a backup on there. However, I have to admit, I find iTunes very counter-intuitive and very difficult to use/understand. And I'm mostly referring to the syncing/backing-up features. I know you have to have safe guards to protect software usage, but with this high-minded philosophy of minimalism, couldn't it be as easy as drag and drop? Even software syncing? USB syncing with iCloud, etc?

From what I can gather, you can start your new iPhone from an itunes backup (Set Up Iphone > Restore from iTunes Backup), but, in my situation I need to add the Files/State from the old iPhone backup to the new iPhone that was started from scratch and has it's own unique Files/State, without subtracting from either. The problem is, that I don't want to subtract anything, and from what I understand about Syncing, if I am Syncing a new iPhone that's been started up, edited, has it's own suite of apps, etc. to an old backup of a previous iPhone, I am going to lose everything new I've done, as it will sync with the previous Files/State.

my laptop recenty went kaput and needed a new hardrive which was installed. When I got it back I downloaded itunes again and then bought some music. I connected my iphone and it would not allow me to transfer the music over to the iphone at all. It allowed me to pull all the music on my phone over to the itunes list which I realised at that point did have my usual music list on it. I can't seem to transfer any music purchased over to my iphone for love or money. This is happening to my brother on his itunes account also and he said it's happened since the last update on his. Any suggestions - I'm quite desperate as this is driving me nuts.

Deselect the playlist in question, and click sync

ICloud Mail has stopped working (iPhone, website, and desktop)

Starting from yesterday, 1 Dec 2011, my iCloud mail no longer works. At first I thought it was a new update to the desktop SMTP and IMAP settings to my software (I use Postbox 3.0, which is based on Thunderbird), but upon further investigation, I see that mail no longer works on the iPhone or on the iCloud.com website. Mail just doesn't work.
I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I have a legacy account ending with @mac.com. I've posted before about my inability to drop the @mac.com from my Apple ID, but that's another story.
It's incredibly frustrating not to have access to this email account. The Calendar and Contacts are still active and accessible, but email is kaput. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help you can offer is appreciated.

Ok, after chatting with an Apple support rep (as in using a chat room and typing back and forth like a bunch of teenage girls) I was able to fix the mail issue.
In the end, all we did was reset the password. Can you believe that?!
Try to change your password first on your own terms, and if that doesn't work, look for the link for a hard reset, perhaps under "Forgot My Password". Unfortunatley, I don't have the links handy. I'm really frustrated and I just wanna go home (after 3 hours).

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

If I have an iPhone, do I even need...

a computer? This is not a philosophical question of whether or not the iPhone can handle my computing needs. Let's just assume it can. My problem is that I have an iBook that is going strong, but who knows for how long? So, if the iBook goes kaput, would I be able to use my iPhone (3GS) for months without plugging it into a computer? I mean, it does download songs, movies and apps right to the phone -- so is it absolutely essential that an iPhone owner also have a computer to plug the phone into?

A smart person would have a computer so they could sync the phone and have a backup if something goes wrong. A computer is also required to install firmware updates to the iPhone.
