I've been having the same issues with my 6 plus, which is maybe a month old now. Have you found anything that helps? I did a clean restore and it's still there. I did the home+power button reset just now, it may have helped a bit, but not really. I want to switch out this particular iphone with another and see if it's still there, ugh. I'd love to hear if you or anyone has found a solution!

Every now and then when I sms someone, the letters lag quite a bit, making typing very slow. Also, when I open my contacts, I have to wait a few seconds before i "flick" or even touch a person I want to view. Anyone else having this? Is there a way to fix it???
Starting with the iPhone 3G, my infantile adoration for Apple products is over. In fact, all of the issues I have unconsciously dismissed with my iMac, MacBook Pro, Air and 5 iPhones are now blatantly obtrusive. For those of you who still suffer from this affliction - check out your 12-second lag time to get to the SMS/text screen, the involuntary relaunch of Safari, the keyboard stutter.... among other unacceptable problems that Nokia's of many generations ago have resolved.
I hope Android works better. -

I received my iPhone 6 plus today and it seems to keep lagging and stuttering in menu transitions and games a lot. It is supposed to be faster than my 5S and iPad Air, and benchmarks say it is, but both devices beat the 6 plus hands down.
Anyone else noticed this?

Serious Lag iPhone 5 USB to Sony Stereo
When I had ios 6 and change songs, there would be no lag at all. But now that I updated to ios 7 there's a serious 5 second lag between songs on my car stereo, how can this be fixed?
I Would take it to an Apple store for testing and diagnosis. That is free, repairs are not.

Extreme lag on the iPod touch 4g
Okay, so when I bought this iPod, it was of course running smoothly, no lag or crashes on any apps. After a while it was starting to get a little bit slower e.x. Writing the keyboard, but it was just a small little lag. My apps were running fine. Some time has past and my iPod getting more and more slower. I didn't really paid attention to it, since it was all happening slowly. When I finally paid attention to it, I compared how is it working with the old apps. And now I am spending like... SO LONG TRYING TO WRITE SOMETHING WITHOUT CRASHES!!! God... Ok so I tried a reboot, a restore and load from backup removing apps from the multitasking bar, resetting system settings. What else am I freaking supposed try to fix this lag!!! I saw a lot of threads, but come on.. Please help

IPhone 5 lags after updating to iOS 8.0.2
RRecently updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2. First of all battery life has declined it's not as good as it used to be in 7.1.2. There is no 3G toggle in settings its really frustrating because in my country 3G plans are costly and signal is not so great. And it lags while opening folders sudden jerky kinda animation. Lag is quire noticeable even in lock screen while trying to open control centre and notifications. Lags even in Safari more frequently. Is it a strategy to make old phones more slow so people will upgrade?? hope apple comes with one more update to fix the lag. Otherwise I am stuck in this ios 8 forever. That's shame.
Hi! I always reset my network setting after every update of iOS because of the battery drain. I did the same for iOS 8.02, but to no effect. The problems I am experiencing are:
1. battery drain - just around 4hrs of regular use instead of 8hrs
2. the phone lags even when answering calls
3. frequent signal drops and the phone heating up
4. reset by itself yesterday while i was switching between apps
I also updated an iPad mini first gen, but has no problem so far. -
Would like to downgrade my IOS 6.0.1 Software to the IOS 5.1.1 Software. The new IOS for the Iphone is horrible. Too much lagging. Even after a complete restore, upgrade, no apps but the one the Iphone comes with, and just the basic things, my Iphone is horrible in speed, and loading.
I have the Iphone 4 gsm model 8GB, and I have had many of them. New, and Refurbished. Performance is all the same.
I am willing to pay Apple for a Downgrade in IOS versions, and I know shsh blobs are required, but I understand that Apple has technology that can do many things with their products. I am no fool, and am only requesting something so simple.Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple at all. If you search the web, you'll find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly bricked their devices.

Is anyone facing the similar problem of visible lag while opening app with 3G data on? It seems apple has made 5s slow to improve iphone 4 performance.5s was very smooth on 7.0.6 even with 3G data on. Is this a bug? Is apple going to fix this soon?
I have same Problem. I tried all options - Reset All Settings, Erase Content & reset all settings, Upgrated to IOS8.1, Restore using iTune. But problem persists.
When I turn Cellular Data or Wifi ON, then there is a lag while opening the Apps. But If I turn Data/Wifi off, phone becomes super fast. I have checked with my friends. They are not facing this issue. Not sure if Apple know this. -
ITunes lag when I plug my iPhone in

I've noticed a pretty annoying lag in iTunes 7.7.1 that did not occur when I used 7.7.0. Whenever I plug my iPhone into my iMac there is about a 5 minute delay before my iPhone actually shows up under the devices tab and I get the spinning beachball. Once the phone appears, everything goes smooth until I want to sync. When I click sync or apply any changes to the device, there is another 5-10 minute delay and I again, get the beachball. I know it isn't my phone because it loads right up fine on my PC and also on my friends laptop. Is this a problem with 7.7.1?I'm having the same problem. I plug in my iPhone and it takes iTunes 5 minutes of spinning ball to begin syncing. During this time iTunes shows in the Activity Monitor as "not responding." iTunes works fine if iPhone is not plugged in, but freezes if phone is plugged in. iPhoto seems to work normally.
I've seen other threads in this forum where the 3G phone people say that iTunes 7.7.1 solved this problem for them. I have an original iPhone and it didn't solve it for me. All of this phone nuttiness started the day they released the new iPhone and software version 2.0.
I'm not too impressed with Apple's response either. This should have been fixed by now. -
My iPhone 3gs is lagging and searching for signal all the time. Help!!
Well, my phones like 3 years old...and latley it's been lagging, turning it's self off, not sending my messages, when I call other people it doesn't go through, and if it does they can barly hear me. I thought it was my sim card so I got a new one and it's not. Then My phone is almost always looking for signal evem in places I always have it. Which needless to say is draining my battery pretty bad. If anyone has any information on what I can do please help. I'm getting a new Iphone when the new one comes out, but i just want help on how to make this one useful for now.
Try restore your phone back to factory setting through itunes. if that doesnt work or even before that call your service provider since they provide the network they will have some steps to try. if those fall then its hardware most likely

Why does my iPhone 4s lag so much on iOS 8.1.1
i understand that the iPhone 4s is getting old now but come on remember the iPhone 3gs flawless running iOS 6 then comes the iPhone 4 it was ruined on iOS 7 and now Apple is killing the iPhone 4s already iphone 4s and iPad 2 users we promised performance improvements in iOS 8.1.1 but if I'm honest it's made it worse my iPhone 4s has been speedy since it came out no slow down at all in previous major updates until iOS 8 it's almost like Apple is doing this on purpose to make us buy new phones but don't worry I will be buying a new phone I will be getting an android they stay speedy no matter how big an update is iPhone 4s is still a good phone just asking for an performance update that actually takes affect and fixes it as promised because pulling down the notification bar lags pulling up the control centre lags the keyboard on the spotlight search lags when it appears multitasking lags and using 3rd party apps lag when exiting such as Facebook and snapchat Come on Apple if your reading please fix !!!!!

I have imported a number of movies and tv shows into my iTunes library. This library is located on an external USB 2.0 hard drive which is connected to my MacBook Pro 13" mid 2012. I use an Airport Extreme (5th gen.) as my network hub, everything is connected wirelessly through either the 5GHz or the 2.4GHz wifi signals.
Whenever I watch these videos on my MacBook itself of my AppleTV (3rd gen.) everything works just fine, no lag or stuttering. But when I want to watch these videos on my iPad 2 (6.1.2) or iPhone 4S (6.1.3) using the standard Videos app, I get lag and/or stuttering every few minutes just like you would when an internet video isn't loading fast enough. Speedtests indicate a stable internetconnection (fiberglass) at 30Mbps up and down, and internet videos (i.e. Youtube) stream just fine, even the 1080p ones. That's why I don't think my networkconnection is the problem.
Frankly, I don't have any idea where to look next. I checked all settings in iTunes (homesharing is enabled, any other settings seem to have no relation with this subject) and the iPad/iPhone, restarted the devices completely but not with any improvement.
Why is this happening? I'm used to Apple products having an optimal user experience, but in this case it's just not working like it should...Try putting one of those movies onto your macbooks' drive and stream it and see if you have the same lag.
It's probably not being pulled from that external drive fast enough causing the lag.
I know you can watch it off your macbook fine, but you're pulling it onto the laptop, then pushing it out to the router and data transfer is always slower the more 'stuff' you give it to pass through.
For example, I can pull stuff off a harddrive at a gig a minute....but if i pull it off one and write it directly to another (using the computer as the go between) i get about 75% speed.....something that should take an hour can take almost an hour and a half.
So try streaming directly off your macbook and see if you stutter. -
my iphone 4 16GB runs very slow after i have upgraded it to iOS 7.
the animations and stuff lag very much and i am irritated using the phone.
i want to downgrade to ios6 but apple does not allow that. what is the solution?just been contacted by apple to try going to settings>icloud>documents and data and turn it OFF

I am using iphone 4..32 gb...i hav updated to ios6..i am experiencing serious lags...watever m doin d phone lags n goes to the home screen...frequency is much greater..please help me with it...i even replaced my device but same problem on new one..!!!!Restore the phone as a new device. There is probably something that was corrupted on your phone during the update and has been passed via the backup to the replacement phone. If the corruption/problem is contained in the backup, you'll need to re-sync your data, and re-install your apps manually. Restoring the backup again will only bring the problem back with it.
If restoring it as new does not fix it, then make an appointment at the genius bar.
