Lags while previewing AVCHD timeline

Hey Guys,
Sorry for another thread being opened, but I guess the old thread is not to the point with my problem.
The current situation is simple, I can't edit avchd footage.
With only one strip of video (AVCHD 1080i 25fps), I can't preview the time line without heavy lags.
I don't know where to attack the problem from.. the machine is brand new and I have tried just about everything.
Is it a hardware problem? I'm pretty desperate.
The machine:
i7 2600k, p8z68 v pro MOBO, 16gb ram (4x4GB G.Skill RipJaw X Edition Dual Channel CL7-8-7-24)
GTX 560 Ti ('hacked' the cuda list)
500gb black caviar sata 3 for os
2*1tb black caviar sata 3 raid for Project & Media
2*1tb black caviar sata 3 raid for Scartch,Renders,Etc.
2tb green caviar for backups.
*using the onboard raid controller.
No index, no compression, maxed out for performance in every aspect (removed visuals), disabled services, removed auto startups thingies
disabled anti virus, windows is up to date.
Hdd are defragged without partitions, I get 163 average speed in hd zune which I think is normal.
Ram: no page on any drive other then on the scratch raid with 24gb set as fixed size, power plan is set to high performance.
I'm running adobe cs5.5 with latest 5.5.2 update.
Benchmarking with the ppbm is quite ok compared to other similar sets.
Because the problem is previewing the timeline my guess, the problem is something with read speed from the hdd.
The CPU goes up to 30% when I'm playing with the timeline and memory usagase is about 7-8gb
One last thought, maybe I'm editing in a not suitable sequence? when I'm laying the footage on the time line the entire sequence is yellow.

Hi Eliran,
At the bottom left of default Premiere layout, you should have a "Browser" pane or tab - open that and navigate to where the video files are. I don't think you even need to dig all the way down to the Stream folder - this is what Browser does, is locate the VIDEO clips out of the complexity. It will list them out, and you can multi-select the ones you want and drag them to the timeline sequence OR the clip bin.
The way AVCHD works is that audio and video files are sometimes separate, then there is the metadata and such, and the parts are all kind of separate, so if you ONLY go and import the video clip, sometimes causes issues in editing. Better to use Browser because it understands all that and takes care of it for you. Maybe I'm oversimplifying or don't have it 100% correct, but just saying that we've had customers with editing problems that were solved by using Browser rather than Import.
Doesn't hurt to try that method, is recommended for tapeless materials.

Lag while previewing clips

I simply cannot stream the videos before I put them on the timeline as there is just too much lag. Each clip is 10 minutes long in DV format (2gb each).
I've closed all other programs and tried to view it, but I just can't. I subclip my DV files in the viewer before bringing them down to the timeline so I find it hard to do any work with it lagging so much.
Would appreciate some advice.

They are probably not in DV format but you have not told us how you got these clips into FCP.
Please do not bump your own threads, it's rude;it's beyond rude. Your issue is not crucial and you have not provided enough information for anyone to help you beyond suggesting the obvious. We're not able to look over your shoulder and see what you're doing wrong so try searching the forum for similar issues or get out the manuals and try figuring it out on your own. It's not that tough.

Strange lag while scrolling pdf's

Hello,
Recently I was working on some pdfs and I noticed somethings. When I open 250+ page ebook, there is horrible lag in Preview. So I tried opening in Safari and viola.. lag was gone. But only to return in a while (There is no lag in browsing webpages). So I opened it in the newer Google Chrome Canary - Its a beta , but its fast. Really fast. And there was no lag ! Now I'm surprised. What might be causing the pdf's to lag in preview and safari ?
All the pdf's I opened are simple text only with rare pictures (1 pic per 100 pages or so).
I also created a new user account and did the same thing. And got the same results. The pdf's lag in Preview and Safari but not the Chrome beta.
I guess it'll seem that my problem is solved , so why am I asking, but its baffling to me why this might occur. Any thoughts ? Will Mavericks solve it?
PS- My ML is clean install. mid 2011 21.5 inch i5

Streaming audio begins at beginning when previewed in timeline

I have audio inserted along the main timeline of my Flash movie. It is set to stream. When I try to preview the timeline to match the narration with events along the timeline, no matter where I am on the timeline, the audio starts at the beginning. Makes timing incredibly difficult.
Is there a fix for this, or is it a bug in the Flash Pro CC that will cause me to continue to work in Flash 5.5?

Ah I understand. Well here's what I managed to HUNT down
This issue was posted on this very forum on April 15th which can be found HERE.
If you look at reply #3 you can see that member has the same computer I had (HP desktop with beats audio).
I remember trying what he suggested and it actually worked...for a small while.
When the issue came back, I continually tried to enable/disable the Beats audio in hopes of fixing the issue.
Sometimes it would work immediately. Other times it wouldn't work at all.
The member in post #3 is probably right in that this may be related to the audio driver on some computers.
Now, I just got a Dell XPS8700 and I haven't gotten the issue yet.
Of course I've only been using it for a day or so but so far so good.
The HP desktop I was using is going to my friend.
He will be using it to work on our show so essentially he'll have to deal with the headache lol.
What bothers me the most is that I get these Flash CC updates pretty often and each time I think it's fixed, it's not.
To add insult to injury when you get a Flash CC update through Adobe CC you'll see a link below the update that you would THINK would show you the changes that were made but it doesn't...it just goes to the default Flash CC webpage...sigh.
I personally think it's down right hilarious that so many paying customers could have an issue like this and Adobe just sits back and counts their money.
Guess our cries for help are being drowned out by the money counting machines...

I have same Problem. I tried all options - Reset All Settings, Erase Content & reset all settings, Upgrated to IOS8.1, Restore using iTune. But problem persists.
When I turn Cellular Data or Wifi ON, then there is a lag while opening the Apps. But If I turn Data/Wifi off, phone becomes super fast. I have checked with my friends. They are not facing this issue. Not sure if Apple know this.

Hi Ychinnari,
Reporting Services provides a special account that is used for unattended report processing and for sending connection requests across the network. The account is used in the following ways:
Send connection requests over the network for reports that use database authentication, or connect to external report data sources that do not require or use authentication.
Retrieve external image files that are used in report. If you want to use an image file and the file cannot be accessed through Anonymous access, you can configure the unattended report processing account and grant the account permission to access the file.
According to the error message, password of unattended execution account has expired. To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server instance you want to configure.
On the Execution Account page, select Specify an execution account.
Type the account and password, retype the password, and then click Apply.
If credentials are passed in the connection string, you need to modify password of the connection string.

System.AccessViolationException Error while previewing report in ASP NET

We are getting "System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory." while previewing the report in ASP NET Application. It is working fine in 3 enviornments but the problem is happening in production enviornment.
Tools Used : VS2005, CR XI R2, SQL Sever 2005

Deleting the temp directory contents then provide read permission to IISWPG process for "temp" directory or just for testing purpose you can provide the full rights.

Hide the group tree while previewing the report

Hello! Everyone i would like to hide the group tree which comes in the report while previewing it when i preview the report each time the group tree in the left hand side appears everytime i know i can hide and unhide it from the toolbar in the upperside but i dont want it to dispaly the group tree while previewing it as default , Is it possible to do that.

Buying new HDTV but don't want lag while gaming

Hi all.
So I'm getting a new HDTV soon, and I want to connect my ps3 and xbox 360 to it. I'm getting the LG 47LH90 (47" 1080p 240 Hz) and I'm getting the Monster Cable HDMI 114013-00
(THX 1000) for my ps3 to play movies and such. Thing is, I also want to try Halo 3 online on the TV (I've heard playing Halo on bigger TV's is bad for your aim but I at least want to try).
So my question is will this HDMI cable I'm getting give me any screen lag while trying to play Halo? (Yes, I have an elite so the 360 has an HDMI port) I've heard people say that VGA cables are also good but if this HDMI cable I have works I want to know if I'll be able to use that so I don't have to buy another cable for nothing. If you are gonna use an HDTV, you will have to accept lag. Your best bet is to go with a 60hz LCD or plasma, which you can easily still get. None of that 120hz nonsense. But, what you can do is get any ole HDTV and use the Microsoft VGA cable instead of the HDMI. That will do a lot to reduce your lag to the minimal amount because HDTVs don't use image processing on VGA signals and the newer TVs actually support full 1080p over VGA. Your milage will vary though and you should check the manual of any TV you are considering in order to see what resolutions it supports over VGA so you don't make a blind-buy of the wrong thing.

Error XLS000009 while Previewing dashboard

While previewing the dashboard, we are facing error XLS000009, saying
connection timeout.We are using SAP BO Dashboard 4.1 . Please find the below snapshot:
The same is happening while publishing the dashboard in repository(BI Launchpad). On searching about the error, we got very little to know about it from the SAP
document.It only suggests to try again but not the root cause of the problem.
Is there any known specific cause of this error.Or we should just hide the error message under query properties?

There might be connection issue. so, Please check the universe connection. If there is no issue with the connection, Try this
1) Develop a simple webi report on the same universe which you have used in dashboards with 2 dimensions and 1 measure and check whether can you be able to run the report or not.

Incredible lag while moving a group of layers

Since PS CS6 I've noticed this idiotic bug (which is also present in PS CC)... I have this incredible lag while I move a group of layers... the lag isn't present if I select and move all the layers in the group at once which should basically be the same thing.
I see that this happens if the group I want to move is located under another group with some layer styles applied like Drop Shadow.
Here's a link to a test file that I've made.
How to reproduce the lag:
- scale the canvas at 100%;
- try to move the Red layer group and you will see the lag I'm talking about;
- now select and move the layer inside the Red group... lag is gone!
- now move the Fixed Group under the Red Group;
- move again the Red group in the Layers Panel and you'll see that the lag is gone once again.
Please let me know if any of you can reproduce the experience I've described above using my test file.
My system is a Lenovo Y500 laptop with a i7 3630QM CPU, 8 GB of DDR3, intel SSD and an Nvidia GeForce 650M graphic card, running Windows 8.1 with all the latest drivers and updates.
