LAN boot is only 100MBPS?

When I boot one of my T430s into Ghost with PXE I am only getting 100Mbps and not Gbp. Have downloaded the DOS nic driver and put it into the boot still 100Mbps, have also tried different connection and switches that are on the 1Gbps network. Has anyone ran into this and found a fix?

And is not influenced by hypes like SLI , ultradupa memory , and dual channel 939 .
I'm already in the fast lane with that homerig , comparing is like do i need to exchange this sportcar for a marginally faster one .
I will upgrade my home comp when the "overall" performance gain is worth it as an allround rig used to other things than just pc games.
( and at 43 i dont hunt for 3d benchmarks and have the need to brag about fps and eyecandy in games i play now and then )
I'm one of the old school guys , at work have all the latest , at private balance money with performance and try to overclock
and such things to get the most out of what you have, all at a decent price .

LAN boot problem; Data corruption

2 Major problems I have found with this board, and need help with immediately. I've built on MANY of these boards and have seen 1 or both of these 2 problems on about 1 of every 5 MSI K8T boards I build on.
1: Lan Boot Problem: The computer will freeze the majority of the time when it passes through the REALTEK boot agent. BBS LAN is NOT in the boot devices list, and boot other devices is DISABLED. I've tried about every setting from within the boot agent with no success. It freezes somewhere around the 7th or so ".".The computer will boot as normal with the LAN cable unplugged. Simply unplugging it every time the machine is booted is of course, unacceptable.
2: In combination with WD hard drives, a certain large percentage of the boards will have CONSISTENT data corruption.. about every 2 weeks XP will be magically missing some files, causing it to not boot. Sometimes last known good fixes it, sometimes a fixboot/fixmbr will fix it, sometimes a complete reinstall is needed.
Does anyone have any information as to the cause or cures of these problems? They seem to be found only in the K8T board and none of the other boards I work with.

That's pretty strange. The power supply causing the hanging with the boot rom, that is. The ability to not skip the boot agent, even when it is set to a) boot from BIOS devices (which doesn't include the BBS NET or boot other devices) or b) ROM DISABLE in the config utility. Especially when you consider it's done it on MANY configurations, and your site/box/anywhere has NO MENTION of power supply issues or compatability problems. The manual says "Power supply of 300 (and up) watt is highly recommended for system stability" - Nothing else.
Is this is the quality assurance we should expect from a company that offers us, "The extreme chip you ever needed"?
Why has this issue that rules out using the greater chunk of the market's power supplies not been mentioned, and why is it only a problem with MSI's K8T board?

I'm using a 2014 iMac and a Win 8.1 64bit install disc with bootcamp. I created the ISO according to the instructions but when I selected it in bootcamp I got the following error "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later..."

Bootcamp rejects the ISO file made from a windows 8.1 disc with the error message "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation."
How do I get past this?

No the ISO is just 64bit. I bought a shrink wrapped copy of 8.1 full version. It has two discs, one for 32bit and one for 64bit. I used the 64bit disc.
I inserted it in an older iMac that has a dvd drive, and shared that across to my new iMac. I used disc utility to create a disc image following instructions I found here...
Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD - Apple Support
This created an ISO file. I then went into bootcamp but when I tried to use the ISO file to create a boot USB it failed with the error above.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitiion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Permissions.
Re-install if that doesn't work.

The hostname is server, not file.

Q10 won't boot! only red light flashing.

my phone suddenly wont respond when i was trying to open a bbm, so, i restarted the handheld. however, it wont turn on anymore. try to put off the batt, and put it back again, still won't to boot. it only does flashing the red light. i've tried to reload the software through bb link, and it has done nothing. anyone exprience the same trouble as mine? please..help me. thank you

Follow the steps below to try and bring the BlackBerry Z10 back to life:
Ensure that BlackBerry Link is installed on the PC or Mac OS
Ensure the computer has an internet connection.
Launch the BlackBerry Link Software.
Note: A backup of the BlackBerry device should be tried before a reload.
Turn off the BlackBerry device. Make sure there are no flashing LEDs and that the LCD is not still being lit by the backlight. If there are any flashing LEDs, hold the power button for 15 seconds until the LEDs stop.
Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer.
When prompted with Cannot communicate with device, click Restore and then click yes allow the update to be downloaded and installed on the BlackBerry device.
If the restore button is not seen press the vertical dots in the lower right corner of BlackBerry Link and select disconnected device. Highlight the disconnected device you are working with and attempt steps 4 to 6 again.
If the issue still persists, then I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.

I try to install windows7 system on my macbook air, which version is 10.8.5. When I open the bootcamp, it let me to choose a windows ISO image, which I've already downloaded from this website: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325 /, it also asked me to select a USB drive, which is kingston that has 8GB. Then when I clicked "continue", it said that "Your bootable USB drive could not be created" "Boot Camp only supports 64-bit Windows installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for 64-bit Windows installation." But actually the ISO image I downloaded is 64-bit windows7. I don't know why this would happen. Could someone help me please!!

I identified the reason to be that the W8 installation file didn't download completely from a Mac OS-device. I downloaded from another Win-device and the moved the installation file with a USB-stick and then everything worked diectly! But thanks anyway.

Can i load windows vista even if boot camp only supports windows 7?

Can i still load windows vista, even if boot camp now only seems now to support windows 7? I had loaded it previously same mac same windows vista but took it off becuase of a hardware issue. now when i want to use it again (playing games mostly) i can load vista but all sotes of things are not working internet connection and graphics and the driver disk that is made through bootcamp says noy that in order to use it i need to be running windows 7 .
Can anyone help

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
On OS X Mountain Lion, Boot Camp only supports Windows 7, so you can't install Windows Vista or XP, and if you install Windows Vista or XP, you won't be able to install Boot Camp drivers because they aren't supported under XP and Vista.
If your Mac came with DVDs, insert the Mac OS X DVD (or the Snow Leopard DVD) that came with the computer and install Boot Camp drivers. If your Mac didn't come with DVDs, you can't get Boot Camp drivers for Vista

Gigabit LAN requirements ? (1000Mbps only @ 100Mbps)

I'm having trouble with the Gigabit ethernet port on my PC, currently it says it's only a 100Mb connection, the other PC with a Gigabit port is also saying it's a 100mb connection but I have set up a 1Gb connection on the other PC before so the problem must either be with this K8N Neo2 or the network cable, I'm guessing.
I have the MAC port disabled in the BIOS as I don't need two gigabit ports.
Do you have to have a certain cable for 1000Mb LAN and if so would you please give me some info on it, or is there some setting I'm missing in Windows or the BIOS. The driver properties on both machines for the network adapters in "Link Speed" both go up to 1000Mbps/Full Duplex (but don't work if i choose that instead of Auto) if that's usefull information to anyone willing to help.
If someone could give me a list or requirements/setting for Gigabit LAN that would be appreciated.

74Mbps WIRED 135Mbps WIFI - GBE ONLY 100Mbps! FIX?

My model DPC3941T gives me 135~Mbps over WiFi on my BLAST! 105 service connection. However, the GBE LAN ports cannot be set higher than 100Mbps on the router. I have the Tx Rx speed set to 1000Mbps on the PCIe ethernet network adapter. The DPC3941T is wired to the PC with CAT6 rated to 550mhz, and the cord is both brand new, uncrimped, and shielded. Both the adapter and the LAN GBE are running at 100Mbps. This is causing my ethernet connection to max out at a bout 74Mbps. Can anyone provide me with any information as to how to proceed from this point, as I am at a loss as to how to solve the problem. I can't set the LAN GBE negotiation speed, and setting the PCIe ethernet network adapter to 1000mbps has yielded no results. Sincerely,Fuze

Hmm for some reason the correction to my last message didn't post. I mistook the word cable to mean cat5 cable from the wall to the modem. The cat6 (ethernet) cable is brand spanking new. I actually have tried three different cables from a modem to the PC. The xfinity gateway/modem gives me 74mbps via LAN, where as the modem I purchased before I picked up the xfinity modem (the Netgear N600 C3700) only clocked in at 34-52mbps. If I need to buy a second device, why am I paying xfinity an extra 10 bucks a month to rent their equipment? I purchased another modem last night. I picked a motorola arris that ONLY has gbe LAN. The box says speeds up to 135mbps. I can't register it though, as the activation part of xfinity won't be open until 9 am monday morning. =( I've spent a lot of effort researching this, and so far the only solution to the problem is: Since the majority of americans are not concerned with/interested in/knowledgable of/ the actual application of computer sciences in ways other than downloading/media bombardment/illegal activity/casual encounters with others (both competitive and sexual), companies through which the application of computer sciences known as the internet is provided no longer feel the need to fully provide their promised services to any of their customers; they do so because they can get away with it.

Cant boot, Read-only filesystem

Sry if this isnt the right section to post, but i didnt find any section in the forum where my problem fit.
So, today i was working on my laptop, and at the same time updating the system when the power went down. When the power came back Arch woudnt boot, a lot of Read-Only File system errors are trown, this are some examples:
Removing leftover files
failed to create file /var/log/wtmp: read-only file system
failed to create file /var/log/btmp: read-only file system
chmod(/tmp) failed: Read-only file system
chmod(/var/tmp) failed: Read-only file system
Saving dmesg log
impossible remove <</var/log/dmesg.log read-only>>:Read-only file system
I dont know what to do anymore, ive tried booting with a pen and "fsck root partition" didnt work, then i chrooted and pacman -Syu and it throw errors too.
I have school work to do and i need my computer ASAP

You can use pacman from the pen with the relevant options so that it updates the stuff on your root and also the database there. See the wiki or the manual page for details.
Otherwise, posting actual error messages is generally more likely to get useful responses than "it didn't work" or "it throw [sic.] errors".
EDIT: Does nobody use apostrophes these days?

Boot: read-only filesystem error

Hi,
when booting this happens with 3 different arch installs.
INIT: version 2.06 booting
/etc/rc.d/functions: line 22: /dev/null: Read-only file system
/etc/rc.d/functions has this on line 22: TERM_COLORS="$(/bin/tput colors 2>/dev/null)"
I'm guessing I've done something bad at some point...
Any thoughts?

The normal boot sequence reports read/only until the kernel and support are fully loaded.
This prevents any error intro by writes inadvertent or otherwise....

Boots up only after turning on and off several times then freezes

I've been trying to repair my hp pavilion a6357c.....it keeps freezing up and it takes for ever to get it to boot up....I'm now using a repair disc that I made 2 years ago to boot up.....it seems to work.....I've also vacuumed out the insides and changed
the cmos battery.....no change......today I got an error message 0xc0000001 and it said that "\windows\system32\boot\winload.exe" was either missing or corrupted. Another help site said I would have to reinstall the OS. My OS is windows
7 professional that was upgraded from windows 7 home premium which was all done on line. I've tried to reinstall it using my product key but they tell me my key doesn't work. Does that mean I have to buy it again? If so I'm junking
this computer.

Upgrade keys will not work for a fresh installation. They are designed to be used for upgrades only. I know because I had this issue with Windows XP back in the day. I was able to get around the issue by calling the number listed in the "Show
me other ways to activate" screen and explain to them that I upgraded from home to professional and no longer have the home installation media. You might find luck taking that route, or they may not help you at all.

My Macbook Pro won't boot up, only in safe mode!

Help, my macbook pro won't restart, only in safe mode! and it seems that safe mode has plenty of implications for use. my usb memory stick doesn't seem to be recognized while in safe mode. I was doing a cleanup on mackeeper just after I downloaded a trial version of microsoft office mac. The trial wouldn't work properly so I deleted it and decided to do a cleanup with mackeeper. than the mac froze while mackeeper was doing it's cleanup and the screen flashed black a few times. Ever since it won't boot up unless I use safe mode. Also, I downloaded the most recent updates while in safe mode but it doesn't seem to be recognizing that I already downloaded them because software update is still telling me that I have 6 updates. So I am horribly confused at this point. Please help, I need this laptop to do report cards (it's a good thing I got an extension). thanks
