Network controller is not recognized on Satellite A100 under Windows XP
Hi all!
I have purchased a Satellite A100 PSAAR and I have performed a clean install of Windows XP on it. I have installed all the drivers in the correct order(downloaded them from the support page) but I still have one problem:
In the device manager the ethernet controller and the network controller show up with a yellow exclamation mark and they are not recognized. I downloaded the lan driver and I got it to recognize the ethernet controller. However no matter how hard I tried, I cannot find the suitable driver for the NETWORK CONTROLLER which still shows up in the device manager in yellow color.
I could really use any help here...Thank you in advance. Please note that Wireless Lan card is placed under the Network adapters too!!!
If you have installed the LAN (Ethernet) driver and the card was installed you should also check if a WLan card driver is needed!!!!
By the way:
If the LAN card was not recognized try this Intel Lan driver:

Lost connection on lan controller 2106
hi,
I have problem with access point air-lap1242ag-a-k9 work with lan controller air-wlc2106-k9.
the connection works well during a time but soon it is lost during few minutes and soon it raises automatic, this process repeats the day throughout. I have seen that valor AP ID in the LAN controller changes when this happens.
thanks for the aid
Marcos.Hi Marcos,
So are you saying that the AP disapears from the controller for a little while, then comes back?
Are the APs in the same subnet as the management/ AP manager interfaces? I would do a debug lwapp events enable and check how many broadcast sources you have in this subnet. It happens that when there are too many sources of broadcast, APs get disconnected; isolating the APs in another subnet/VLAN usually solves the issue.

Controller 64 not recognized in freeze
I have encounerted this before. controller 64 messages are not included in the freeze. trying to freeze an ivory piano plug-in in a complex large orchestral piece and the controller 64 messages are ignored.
what gives?I'm finding it fine but i have to run it from my internal ata drive on the same drive as my other samples. it sounds great but i am having to shoehorn the performance. for example, i am able to playback no problems but i am just overreaching the mark with record at 24 bit as well, which is why i wanted to freeze it. i can play back 24 voices plus, with a full orchestra, several plug-ins, and about 5 or 6 audio tracks running at the same time. i think it is relatively cpu friendly but in the documentation it does describe my system as being the minimum of system requirements.
i think that it may also be that i was tweaking a few levels that may have pushed it over the dge.
I have to run it from the same drive as the samples because it is an ata 100 bus, and the other busses are just not fast enough.
that's a good point about turning controller 64 data into automation, but what a pain. in the end i solo-ed the instrument and bounced it out. i'll remember your suggestion for nest time. thanks. -
Ethernet controller cards not recognized (seemingly)
Help! I have a v40z server and I've installed Solaris 9 on it (09/04 version). I've installed a Sun Quad Ethernet Card (PCI slot2) and a Sun Ethernet Card (PCI slot0). I've done a "b -r" and when the system comes up, when I do an "ifconfig -a" all I see is lo0! I've tried downloading the Quad ethernet driver packages for Solaris_9 and have installed them, but the result is the same.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
I appreciate any help you can give.
KevinHelp! I have a v40z server and I've installed
Solaris 9 on it (09/04 version). I've installed a
Sun Quad Ethernet Card (PCI slot2) and a Sun Ethernet
Card (PCI slot0). I've done a "b -r" boot -r and reconfigurations are not useful for most ethernet devices.
and when the
system comes up, when I do an "ifconfig -a" all I see
is lo0! That's normal. Only interfaces which are brought up explicitly will be seen.
Do a 'ifconfig -a plumb' to activate all interfaces for which drivers are available.

USB Host Controller not recognized by Windows 7.
Just installed Windows 7 in a1130n desktop. The USB Host Controller and the Std USB Host Controller are not recognized by the operating system. The USB ports and the media memory ports on the front panel will not work.
My HP Z400 is suffering from the same problem. Did you discover a solution?

Controller DMRW1000 is not recognized with my 5GHz network
I have the following items: Director DMC250, DMP100 and Controller DMRW1000.
I decided to move all of them from the 2.4GHz to the 5GHz network, but the Controller is not recognized by LELA and when I try to set the network manually on the controller it does find the SSID but can not connect to it.
Anybody with a similar problem?Hi,
A friend of mine had the same problem and here's what he did to resolve it.
Reset the controller by pressing and holding the reset hole/button for 20 seconds. Try then to manually connect the controller to the wireless network by using the LCD screen. Don't forget to check for any firmware updates for the controller afterwards.
I hope this helps. -

Scsi controller not recognized during ftp install
Hi all,
As you can tell, this is my first post and my first attemp to install arch. I downloaded the latest ftp install floppies "Arch Linux 0.5 (Nova)" and I am trying to install arch on a PII system with and Adaptec 2940UW controller and no cdrom. I can boot from Tom's recue disk:
http://www.toms.net/rb/
and the controller is recognized and I can use fdisk to partition the drive.
However, when I boot from the arch install floppies, the controller is not recognized. When I manually load the module for the controller, ie. aic7xxx, lsmod shows it as unused.
After looking at the boot log using dmesg, I noticed the following, which I don't understand:
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno=2
Is this a kernel issue and does anyone have any pointers for me?
Thanks
Kevin
PS: I tried my best to search for a related topic. Thanks for the reply. It still doesn't work for me.
I noticed that the floppy images have been updated -- the md5sum's have changed. I will give them a try.
As an aside, the listed md5sum's for the new images don't match the downloads. I downloaded from several mirrors and I get the same sums, which don't match the sums listed.

How to replace the certificate of Cisco 2106 wireless LAN controller for CAPWAP ?
I have interested in CAPWAP feature and I download the open capwap project to make Access Controller (AC) and Wireless Terminal Point (WTP). I had built the AC which used PC and WTP which used Atheros AP. The CAPWAP feature work well when I enabled the CAPWAP that used my own AC and WTP. When I got the Cisco 2106 wireless LAN controller (Cisco WLC), I configured the Cisco WLC to instead my own AC but I got the authorize fail in Cisco WLC side. It seem the Cisco WLC could not recognize the CAPWAP message which sent form my own WTP. I think this issue just need to synchronize the certificate between Cisco WLC and WTP.So I need to replace the Cisco WLC's certificate manually. Does anyone know how to replace the certificate manually with Cisco WLC ?
Best Regards,
AlanUnfortunately this Support Community is for Cisco Small Business & Small Business Pro product offerings. The WLC2106 is a traditional Cisco product. You can find this type of support on the Cisco NetPro Forum for all traditional Cisco products.

USB MIDI controller no longer recognized by mac (not even in System Information).
Hello!
I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e that I have been using with my MBP (early 2008 model) for a few years with absolutely zero problems ever. I recently bought a very generic Chinese MIDI interface ("Sanoxy" brand) to go between my full-size Yamaha and mac so that performances of parts into logic would be on weighted keys and such.
For a while I used both the MIDI interface with the Yamaha and the little 49-key MIDI controller (via USB and also powered by the USB) with no problems. I believe this problem occurred when I tried to use both the MIDI interface and MIDI controller on one USB port using a Targus external number pad (unpowered) that has two USB ports on it (bad idea I'm sure). I did this because my MBP only has two USB ports on it and I was using the other for my audio interface.
I have reset PRAM more than a couple times, reset SMC, cleaned caches (even though this could be done more thouroughly maybe with a recommended program besides Cocktail - trial is expired), even replaced AppleMIDIUSBDriver.plugin from my parents iMac which the MIDI controller still works on. All this and nothing. The keyboard is not recognized as even being plugged into the USB port on System Information even though the lights are on, much less AMS.
Any other information you need I'd be happy to let you know.
Super thanks!

Wireless LAN Controller not broadcasting network to Access points
Good Day Team,
I am working with a 2100 series WLC controller and 1100 series access point.
I noticed that the wireless lan controller is working. Also the access point is working.
The issue is that there is no internet connection on the access point.
What could be the error?
Kindly adviceTry do diagnose your problem following this steps:
1) Connect to the wireless network
2) Check your IP address with "ifconfig"
3) Check if your gateway is set correctly with "route -n"
4) Try to ping your gateway. Is it working?
5) Try to ping an internet IP like google: "ping 74.125.234.115"
6) Try to resolve names with "nslookup www.google.com" for example.
7) Try to traceroute to an IP or name on internet. Check the result to see the last hop you reached.
8) If you passed all those tests, try this: "telnet www.google.com 80"
If everything works, but not the test #8, your problem could be related to some proxy configuration. -
AIR-CAP3501I access point not joining the Cisco 2100 Wireless Lan controller.
Hello All,
I am installing a new LAP (AIR-CAP3501I ) through the wireless lan controller (AIR-WLC2112-K9) with software version 7.0. I have an external ADSL modem which will act as the DHCP server for the wireless clients and the LAP.
Please find my network setup as below:
The ISP ADSL modem , WLC and LAP are connected to a unmanaged POE switch. The LAP gets its power through the POE switch. When i connect the LAP and the WLC to the switch along with the ADSL modem, the LAPs are getting the ip address from the ADSL modem, however they are not joining the WLC for further process.
ADSL Modem ip address: 192.168.1.254
Management ip address on the LAP: 192.168.1.1 ( Assigned to port 1, untagged Vlan).
Ap Manager ip address: 192.168.1.1 ( Assigned to the same port i.e port1, Untagged Vlan).
The LAP is getting an IP address from the ADSL modem in the range of the DHCP scope.
I will paste the logs very soon.
Please let me know if i am doing anything wrong oe what will be the issue.
Thanks in advance,
Mohammed AmeenHello All,

The Acess point joins the Controller for 2-3 seconds and then unjoins again. I am not sure what i am doing wrong here. The access points are getting the IPs from the ADSL modem through the switch, then it talks to the WLC, however it does not join the controller for further process.
Note:
The Managemnet interface and the AP manager interface are assigned to the same port 1 with unassigned Vlan as mention above. -
Computer not recognizing controller.
I can't get my new macbook pro to recognize my old oxygen 8 midi controller. It has worked fine for years on my old emac, and my M-Audio 88 key controller works fine on this new laptop. I have updated the driver and my audio-midi setup (and all my recording software) won't recognize my keyboard. Any suggestions?
