LANC & A/V input

Finding a camcorder with LANC control and a A/V input is becoming increasingly more difficult. Does anyone know of an alternative to being able to control the functions externally of a camcorder (wired remote for example) and to input video into a camcorder using USB or other method? I have used Sony camcorders for years and used their LANC port and A/V input so I could use the device as a recorder only. I've really been struggling trying to figure out a better way to do this using the newer digital camcorders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can email me directly at [email protected]

This type of stuff was common place with lineal editing systems and has gradually faded off the scene since Non-Linear Editing (on a computer) has taken over.
As mentioned firewire carries camera commands in a similar way as the older LANC system. I have a museum full of it.:-)
A/B/C/D roll, titling, audio and vision mixing can all be done on a computer better and easer and with a stack less cables.
Lanc also controlled zoomoing, tripod heads etc.
Do you actually have a special need other than simple camera control?

  • IME API and IME Text Input Enhancement

    Hi All,
I am presently using Adobe Air 1.5 Framework and i want to update the Air 2 Beta version. Help me in setting the same.
As in my application, it uses TLF which doesn't supprot IME. But as i came to know the features from AIR 2 Beta it provides.
Can you help me for the same in implementing the feature "IME API and IME Text Input Enhancement" with some samples or examples.
    Thanks in advacne.

I do not know what VM is ported on ur Pocket PC? It depends on the MIDP RI [Reference Imlementation] ported specific for each device. for e.g.:- for few pointer/touch screen devices the MIDP RI ported handles both the keypad and the pointer mappings automatically.
Kindly check out the below link where-in you have list of JVM's that you could port on your pocket PC.
    http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/~fittond/ppcjava.html
Most of the palm or pocket PC's would be ported with CDC/Foundation Profile where you will have JNI support that may help you to develop your own application specific API's using the existing device native libraries provided by the vendor.
IBM's J9 VM for example supports JNI.

  • Error 10800 while testing analog input PCI-4451

I'm testing the PCI 4451 device under Windows 2000 and with NI-DAQ 6.9.2 (with Max 2.2 french version)
The analog output work properly but the input doesn't seem to work. I have tested with a GBF. I have also tested by connecting directly the analog output on the analog input and generating a 50KHz signal at 5V but it doesn't work. It always return an error 10800 (timeOutError). I haven't select any trigger. It display a graph with 1 or 2 peak an the beginning but all others samples have the value 0 in the graph. So the graph seems like a constant value of zero exepts the 1 or 2 peak.
I've tried a lot of combinaison and nothing work. :-(
configuration of the NI PCI-4451 :
    IRQ : 19
    DMA : 0, 1 and 2
    AI : +/- 10V
    differential
    AO : bipolar
    Accessory : BNC-2140
PS : I've translated from french so there could have some mistakes.
Is there anyone who have an idea ? (or others tests I can do ?)

    Comment faire cela?

The easiest solution is to write the time to a text file, then pass the same path to Write to Spreadsheet File with the "append to file?" input set to true.
A better solution would be to make a copy of Write to Spreadsheet File VI and add code to write a line of text before the data. This is easy - you just need to add a new string control, and concatenate it with the output of Array to Spreadsheet String before writing it to the file.

  • Problem with mitsubishi lancer gts

My Ipod touch connected fine with my mitsubishi lancer gts, I updated the IOS and simply failed to connect. I took my car to service and the updated the car's software. Now the stereo says its loading, but never starts to play music! Is there an app or an update that can fix that problem or I'll must install the Aux input jack.

The following works sometimes. But sometimes you have to wair for an update to the iOS or the car system.
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Error while running a query-Input for variable 'Posting Period is invalid

    Hi All,
NOTE: This error is only cropping up when I input 12 in the posting period variable selection. If I put in any other value from 1-11 I am not getting any errors. Any ideas why this might be happening?
I am getting the following error when I try and run a query - "Input for variable 'Posting Period (Single entry, mandatory)' is invalid" - On further clicking on this error the message displayed is as follows -
    Diagnosis
Variable Posting Period (Single Value Entry, Mandatory) is used as a lower limit (X) and an upper limit () in an interval selection. This limit has the value #.
    System Response
    Procedure
Enter a different value for variable Posting Period (Single Value Entry, Mandatory). If the value of the other limit is determined by another variable, you can change its value also.
    Procedure for System Administration

    OK.
Well, if the variable is not used in any interval selection, then I would say "something happened to it".
I would make a copy of the query and run it to check if I get the same problem with period 12.
-> If not, something is wrong in the original query (you can proceed as below, if changes to original are permitted).
If so, then try removing the variable completely from the query and hardcode restriction to 12.
-> If problem still persists, I would have to do some thinking.
If problem is gone, then add the variable again. Check.
-> If problem is back, then the variable "is sick". Only quick thing to do, is to build an identical variable and use that one.
If problem also happens with the new variable, then it's time to share this experience with someone else and consider raising an OSS.
    Good luck!

  • Open and close data input in DP.

    Hi,
We have two periods in the future (actual and next) and we need open and close
actual year for input with macros.
We have built two macros to open and close actual year for input. The macro
to close the input is working OK (COL_INPUT( 0 )). the macro to open the input (COL_INPUT( 1 )) works OK too,
but the color doesn´t change, It goes on in grey color instead of white color.
We have used some operators (ROW_BG(), ROW_FG()...) to try to change the color but doesn´t change.
Did you Know how to bulid the macro to open actual year changing to white color?
    Thanks in advance.
    Raúl.

do you mean it is grey but you can still enter data?
check what your "input from" date is on the planning book design(data view tab)
I have seen this happen too... But, since you are using the column input macro you can let your input from be right from the beginning and use the macro to make it open and closed at the relevant years(means you set the column_input (0) for history too
the KF that should not be edited is set in the setting "output only"

  • [Interface] - Passing variety parameters/input to PL/SQL report

    Hi,
I've the PL/SQL report which can allow passing in the parameter, i use '&'.
the report is given to the end user who do not have the IDE for PL/SQL. the machanism of the report is generated into the spool file and import into excel format.
now i am wondering how to create a tool using SQL or PL/SQL to allow the end user to choose the parameter(s) dynamically and passing into the PL/SQL to generate the report based on the input selected.
    the parameters like below:
    package code :
    week no :
    year :
    department :
all the above parameters, the data would be selected from the existing lookup table. the user is allow to select more than 1 input for specified parameter for instance i want to spool report for week 1 until week 5.
pls advise any solution on this topic. thanks

    hi scoot,
    thank for reply.
yep, i'm using sql*plus and also sql navigator 4.0 .
the user don't have the software to interact. i'm thinking of build an simple interface using VB and passing in the parameter then initiate the sql*plus to run the program in background mode.
but if you have any other solution which not need to use other software to wirte such program , pls let me know immediately. thank

  • Debugging is not working in R/3 from WebDynpro-ABAP developed webpage input

    Dear Friends,
We are facing a serious problem for debugging. Expecting valuable input for the same.
Debugging is not working in R/3 from WebDynpro-ABAP developed webpage input in Production Server.
The debugging (for WebDynpro-ABAP application) is working in Dev. Server for
    1st ] Within R/3
Ex. debug for bapi within R/3. i.e. value enter as input in R/3 only.
    2nd ] From webpage to R/3
Ex. Some input given on the internet web page developed through WebDynpro and external breakpoint set in R/3 it works. It directs to R/3 code through debugging.
In Prod. Server the 1st case above is working but the 2nd case is not working.
In Prod. Server the WebDynpro developed applications are running successfully through internet explorer webpage inputs. So running the application is not a problem in prod. Server but debugging of the same is the problem.

  • How to input data into an arraylist from a text file?

I am trying to take data from a text file and put that data into an arraylist. First here is the text file:
    [item1, 10, 125.0, item2, 10, 12.0, item3, 20, 158.0]
    3
    4530.0
    [item5, 65, 555.5, item4, 29, 689.0]
    2
    56088.5
    [item7, 84, 34.5, item6, 103, 0.5, item8, 85, 1.36]
    3
3065.1The text between the [ ] is the output from my arraylists. I have three arraylists. The first [ ] belongs to arraylist A, the second to arraylist B, and the third to arraylist C. The format of the arraylists is this:
    <item name>,<# in stock>,<value of one item>
The first number below the arraylists in the text file represents the number of items in the list. The second number below the arraylists represents the total value of the items in the arraylists.

  • How to use one pop up window for multiple buttons and input fields?

    Hi Experts,
I have created a pop up window that will be opened from multiple buttons in the same view. There are input fields that the data will be populated from a pop up window.  How can I set up which button that a pop up window is opened from? I also would like to populate the data from a pop up window to the input field next to a clicked button. There are 6 buttons and 6 input fields that share the same pop up window. I would very appreciate your responses.
    Thank you,
    Don

    Hi,
Try creating 2 context attributes, one in your component controller and the other in the pop-up view. Bind the attribute of pop-up view to the component controller attribute.
In the main view, on click of every button set a unique code in the controller's context which helps you in identifying the button clicked. Since u have created a binding to the pop-up view attribute the value flows from the controller.
In the init method of your pop-up view, check the value of the attribute and based on that display which ever UI elements are required.
    Eg:
On Button 1 click set value "B1", Button 2  value "B2" etc. In the init() of pop-up view u can check the values and perform the required operation:
    if(("B1").wdContext().currentContextElement().getButtonIdentifier()){
    else...{
    Hope this helps you.

  • How do I use one audio jack as input and one as output?

On my MacBook Pro, if I get a USB-headphone connector (to add another audio port), will I be able to set one audio port as input and the other as output? To use the port coming out of the USB jack as a headphone jack, and plug a mic/output device into the computer's port?
I'm thinking about buying a "Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter". I have a preamp that is NOT an interface, and I want to be able to monitor what I'm doing so I can multitrack. But my MacBook only having one audio 1/8 inch jack makes it so I have to choose either input OR output...I'm hoping if I add an extra port via USB I'll be able to have one of each.
    Thank you!

Yes, either way round. In System Preferences>Sound you can set the input and output ports separately.
Roger, the System setting have -Nothing- to do with the question being asked. Do you use Logic Pro audio software? If you did you would know Logic has it's own audio settings that run independently from the System audio. There's also the fact that Maverick has problems with "some" older USB 2.0 audio hardware. Basically, this is not a slam-dunk, that's why I suggested asking someone if they've used this combination before. Although... the USB audio device is cheap ($10) it might be worth it to try. Still.............**
** I question the wisdom of using cheap audio hardware on a computer that cost $1000+, software that costs $200 and then using the internal audio chip ($2) and an external monitoring device that costs $10. Defeats the whole purpose of using professional audio software.
