Landmarks vs Favourites vs Categories vs Icons

I do not understand the relationship of these 4 topics:
Favourites are under Favourites within OVI Maps, and the Landmarks are under Menu-Applications-Location, Landmarks.
I have some Favourites in OVI Maps, they can be synchronized without problem.
After synch i do see the Favourites in OVI Map on the phone, and also as landmark in the application-area. But the categories did not synch, all landmarks are flat under one level, i do have to re-create all categories again and shift each single landmark back to the correct category. Is this a bug, or does that work as designed?
Second Topic: When i select a category and assign a special icon, then this icon is not shown in the map, it is still the original blue square with white star in.
Now i do have 20 icons, lets say 5 are named POI_01 and 15 are named POI_02. If i mark all Landmarks in that category and assign a different icon, then all 5 POI_01 are shown with the new icon, the other 15 not. So i go into the category and select one Landmark with the name POI_02, and assign a new icon. Guess what.... now also the other 15 Landmarks have changed the icon.
Seems like
- assigning new icon to category does not work
- assigning new icon means to link the icon the the name.... same name same icon.
Again...is this a bug, or working as designed?

It is my understanding that the Express editions do not allow plugins such as the Oracle Developer Tools for VS, which is what gives you the functionality you're looking for. Without ODT, you're limited to the built in DataSource/ServerExplorer functionality provided by Microsoft, and using System.Data.OracleClient.
ODP.NET is the driver that you can use from .NET code to connect to the database, and that can be used from Any version of VS, or even using the command line compiler. What you're referring to is the functionality of the VS tools though.

How do I format "icons", etc. so that I can replace folder with picture????

Hi,
Wonder if someone can help me. I already know how to go through the process, once the "picture" or "icon" or "clip-art" or clipart or ??? is ready to click on. Then get info, copy/paste, etc.
My question is when I look for categories of icons, etc. (preferably free) I can't seem to get the icons or pictures in a format that I can just click and do that most of the time. Sometimes it works, like I looked for bathroom pictures, and it gave me a few pictures to download. I downloaded a picture of a bathtub to my desktop and it worked where the folder changed to a bathtub.
What am I doing wrong? I would preferably like a lot of icons or avatars or whatever they are called for the Mac to choose from depending on a category and be able to click it and do this depending on the category I want. Or just google what picture I want. Ideally, I'd like a whole archive of little icons that are ready to replace the folder and look for them by category. I'm willing to buy a CD with lots if icons if necessary because I must be doing something wrong.

Go for the icons in the Apple logo, they are just stored on the folders, so you can copy and paste them on to whatever you want.
You can also get CandyBar there which lets you store, browse and apply the icons in one operation.

How to Handle Data with Icons

I'm trying to create a directory of showroom locations and the type of products that they carry. I need an efficient way to manage the data (like an Access database) but I need to represent the product categories with icons. My team has drawn the icons in Illustrator and I have considered using a utility to create a custom icon font, but those custom icon fonts are web-fonts only and it appears that they cannot be used in the database directly. The final output needs to be in a printable format. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Do I need someone to write a custom script to run in InDesign?

Hard to say without seeing the layout, but perhaps Data Merge would work-- you can place images using data merge. Another possibility is to use some sort of text symbol, then use Find/Change to replace with contents of the clip board after copying an icon.

In ur code is HTREE$ is of type varchar2 or ITEM?
Give valid parameter for item_name/item_id.
This code will be usefull to add/change the icon of the node. You can show the 16x16 image (gif, ico based on your forms_home\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat file) before the tree item's node lebel.
I tried in this way to get the "Favourites" node label as *"Favourites"* (Bold).
I make *"Favourites"* as a gif icon (16 x 270) and added it as a node icon. but it shows 16 x 16 of my image.
So using this code u cannot format the font of the tree's parent node.

Weird thing on App Store

When I go to the App Store by clicking the icon in my dock, it takes me there....but, when I try to click on the "Games" icon to get a list of games I can browse or purchase, it pops open and an error window that reads "We could not complete your App Store request. The App Store is currently unavailable. Please try again later." It then just gives me a blank page, to where I have to click one of the Features, Top Charts, Categories, etc. icon at the top of the page to go anywhere esle. Any ideas why?

Canon Pixma MP270 - Installation of a printer/scanner

I'd like to introduce a way how I've succeeded in installing printer/scanner Canon Pixma MP270.
First download Debian package from http://software.canon-europe.com/softwa … asp?model= (source codes package didn't work for me) to some temporary directory. Then execute as root:
# pacman -S cups libtiff libpng12 deb2targz
# ln -s /usr/lib/libtiff.so /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4
# tar xf MP270_debian_driver_pack.tar
# tar xzf cnijfilter-mp270series-3.20-1-i386-deb.tar.gz
# cd cnijfilter-mp270series-3.20-1-i386-deb/packages/
# deb2targz *
# tar xzf cnijfilter-common_3.20-1_i386.tar.gz
# tar xzf cnijfilter-mp270series_3.20-1_i386.tar.gz
# cp -r usr /
# /etc/rc.d/cups start
It isn't very Arch way, but it worked for me just this way. Then add your printer in the CUPS administration page http://localhost:631/ by these steps:
Administration > Add Printer > login as root > Canon MP270 series (Canon MP270 series) > you can rename it > Canon MP270 series Ver.3.20 (en) > Query Printer for Default Options
For starting CUPS (which you need to print) at every boot add to /etc/rc.conf:
DAEMONS=(... cups ...)
If you're having some problems (for example jobs may appear as completed, but printer does nothing), you should change one line in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:
LogLevel debug
and watch for errors with this command (try to print after calling this):
$ tail -f /var/log/cups/error_log
Installing MP270 as scanner is easier - run:
$ yaourt -S scangearmp-mp270
$ scangearmp
You can create menu item /usr/share/applications/scangearmp.desktop:

Glad it helped someone. Here is another tip:
After the color toner dries or goes empty and you feel like you don't need a new one, don't remove it! The printer is stupid and won't print without it. Instead install GNOME Print manager (package system-config-printer-gnome), run it (system-config-printer) and then it goes like: MP270 > Properties > Job Options > in Advanced (at the bottom) type CNGrayscale and add it > set it to TRUE. These steps lead to making the printer print just by the black toner, otherwise gray color isn't guaranteed to be printed and non-black colors won't be printed at all.

When I try to sync my iPhone with iTunes on my PC, a screen comes up that has the music square icons with music notes in the squares. Not the home screen I am used to seeing that shows all categories on the left side.

When I plug my iPhone into PC to sync, I am getting a screen with music squares with notes in the icon. I was getting the iTunes home sync screen with the categories on the left side. And it had options along the top as sync items. It will sync, but I have no idea where the iTunes screen went.
I also will get an error message that says "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected". But, it does back up and it is connected. Any ideas out there as to what is going on and how I could fix this? Thanks.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

No icons in App Store Categories

Hello,
A few days ago all of a suddent my icons from under the AppStore's top level Categories have disappeared. The only icons I have showing is for the 'Games' and 'Books' section. However, when I go into a sub-level category I have ll the icons for the individual apps. Only the very top level categories section have no icons.
I've found a thread where ppl complained that their icons became all the same. The only way it's different that I don't have any icons showing. Not even a blank placeholder.
Since it happened a few days ago, I don't remember if this was happening after downloading and installing an update of a program, or after syncing, or simply just out of the blue. No cold/hard or any kind of reset or signing in/out of the AppStore helps.

How to make my website logo show as the new Yosemite favourites icon?

I've been searching high and low for the answer to this question so I hope someone maybe able to help me.
When you click in the address bar in safari using Yosemite you get the icons from the websites that you have as a favourite.
Some, like Facebook have their logo automatically appear. Others, including my website have not shown up.
I have added a photo to help explain what I mean.
As you can see ART55 and Twitter have the safari icon. While the others show their logo.
How do I get my website to show its logo as the icon?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

URGENT - Favourites/Landmarks lost in nokia N86

Hi,
Can someone help me?
I lost all my favourites/landmarks that i had in my ovi maps app. However, I have a full copy of my mass memory on which were installed my application and favourites in the past. In which folder/file would be my favourites/landmarks?
It is very urgent to me, as I depend on it to work.

I can't find my Favourites on Firefox, where is the icon? I imported all my favourites when I downloaded the program.

When I did the download it gave me the option of importing all my saved websites from Windows. However once the Mozilla opened up I couldn't find the icon to open up my Favourites. Favourite icons gone

My kid decided to reorgazine our home screen and put all of her games on the top favourites bar. In the process, she sent our real favourites off screen to a mystery land. I cannot get the browser, email or the music to return, and I have restarted and did a hard quit with the power and volume up button. Mostly what we used the tablet for is now gone. I need ideas on how to get it back.

Move EVERY ICON into the top favourites bar then restart. That should bring them all back.
If it fails to bring them back, do a backup, then a Settings, Security, Security wipe. Restore your data, and reinstall your apps for free from My World.

How do I add my favourite webpaages to sit as an icon on my homepage?

in the old mozilla i used to have them sitting along the horizontal line under the URL address. now I don't know how to add them so when I want to jump between my favourites I just have to press the button.

That's the Bookmarks Toolbar. You can add that back using
View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
If you are viewing the orange Firefox button instead of the classic menu bar, tap the Alt key to display the menu bar temporarily so you can get to View.

My iTunes doesn't have all the icons for categories,how do I get them?

Never mind, the problem just fixed itself when i searched for an artist that wasn't there. That was odd.
