Landscape keyboard in App Store

Is there a hidden feature that lets you use a landscape keyboard when writing reviews in the App Store?

Hi, yep, same thing has happened to me today. Using an iphone 4. Don't as yet know how to fix it other than a reboot.

No keyboard in App Store

When I go into App Store the keyboard does not appear. I have never turned on Bluetooth so that is not the problem as others have been a advised to do. The window comes up to ask I'd and password but no keyboard appears. Can anyone help me.

Try a reset. Tap and hold the Home button and the Sleep/On/Off buttons at the same time for approximately 15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and await restart.

On your iPad, delete the existing account then sign back in with the new ID and password.

TextEdit, App Store, Preview do not respond to clicking or keyboard shortcuts

Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina running Mavericks 10.9.4 with all software updated.
A couple of days ago, I opened an image up in Preview only to find that the application would not respond to any clicks or keyboard shortcuts I made. If I were to hover over an icon on the top bar, it would recognize that I was doing that, but not do anything if I clicked on it. Ultimately, the only way to close the program to perform a force quit with Cmd-Opt-Shift-Esc or right-click on the dock and go to "Quit". It does not show up as not responding in the Force Quite menu, and the problem does not go away if I reboot the computer.
I've also experienced the problem in two other apps to date - the App Store and TextEdit. Both will act like they're perfectly okay until I actually go to click on something, in which case they won't respond at all. There's no spinning pinwheel or freezing - it just acts like nothing is happening. (For example, if I launch the App Store from my browser directly to an app page, the "Download" or "Purchase" button will highlight when you hover over it but cannot be pressed. I have launched it from Finder, as well, so it's not that contributing to it.)
These are the only apps I've noticed that are doing it, but they're all Apple apps. In contrast, Finder, iTunes, and Safari work as well as ever. Any help would be much appreciated.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

The keyboard is not coming up in the App store when it comes time to input my password

When I want to download a new App from the App Store, the keyboard does not come up when I need to input my password.

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

Why does the keyboard you use in the App Store have a black background instead of a grey one, like in the other apps?

For my 4G, they are the same in the App store and Safari.

Just installing a few updates from the Mac App Store for mountain lion on my 2010 MacBook Pro, during this it made a noise and then the screen and keyboard went off, like it is off. What happened, is it off...or should I just wait it out?

What kind of noise?
The only things I can think of that make noise are fans and disks. Fans usually will not cause the computer to shutdown as you describe. My guess is your disk drive died. I hope you made a backup prior to start the ungrade.

I got hang up and freeze my Mac when start landscape design 17 by Encore which i bought it from App store

I did try to contact the company Encore more than 20 Emails but I did not get any respond from them

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List

Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after you had the problem. Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

Landscape keyboard not in all apps

Just wondering... i upgraded to 3.0 yesterday and so far so good... except... I noticed that in a lot of apps like Facebook, YouTube (the iPhone app, not the website), MySpace, TweetDeck and many others I do not get the larger landscape keyboard when I rotate my iPhone. I thought this landscape keyboard was supposed to be in all apps, not just Messages, Safari and Mail.

The developers of those apps have to put that feature into their application. You might see this come with the next update of the app.
Apple made the feature available to developers and rewrote their own apps to give the feature. All 3rd parties will have to do it themselves

I have an Instacalc from the App store and I have forgotten how to toggle it on and off from the keyboard, does anyone know how?

I can't remember how to toggle my Instacalc on and off using the keyboard. I got it free from the app store, I have a 13" MacBook Air, Yosemite. I must have got the instruction somewhere but I can't remember, could anyone help me please.

Hi. Try this: From the iTunes Store front page, scroll to the bottom of the page. In the bottom left corner there should be a flag, in this case the French flag, click it and you 'll be presented with a screen to select the correct country.

IPhone 5 App Store keyboard glitch -- persistent green lines at bottom of screen

I just brought home my new black 32GB iPhone 5 from the Verizon store. After using it for an hour or so, and switching over to WiFi, I entered my Apple ID password in the App Store to (re)download an app. My password requires me to switch to the ".?123" keyboard. The bottom ~1/5 of my screen became fuzzy, as though the keyboard overlay was sticking around longer than it should have. After a short time, glitch resolved to a state that's been "permanent" - vertical green lines. These green lines fade in slowly after I wake the screen from sleep. They've persisted through multiple power off > on cycles, a hard reset, and even through the upgrade to iOS 6.02. Interestingly, screen captures do not seem to grab these green lines.
Any ideas on how I can fix this, or am I going to have to get the phone replaced?

I think this is normaly. I've had some issues (gone through 6 replacements - not trivial issues, dead home button, dead camera, dead wifi that kind of thing). I noticed this on the 3rd replacement and everyone since. People are claiming that they have received "flawless screens" (whatever that means). I think the Sharp pannels are the ones that don't show these interlacing lines and AU Optronic pannels do. I have experience with AU Optronic pannels and everyone that I have ever owned (Motorola Xoom, PC Monitors, etc...) have done this. It is too bad that Apple settled for this manufacturer, but it is a gamble whether you will get one that doesn't do it. It is normal and within specs as most the iPhones at this point with have AU pannels due to Sharp's shortage.
The geniuses will likely not replace an iPhone for this reason. If you have AppleCare+ and have an incident in the future, perhaps you'll get lucky and get a sharp pannel put on to replace the AU pannel. But, there is no way to know which phones have which pannels.
Interestingly, I checked at the Apple store and 50% of the display models did it, and the genius that I spoke to's iphone 5 did it. You can find wall paper that is alternating black and white lines one pixel in width and it will cause the screen to flicker. Like you, I REALLY wish that apple DID NOT choose AU Optronics and if I had known I would have waited to purchase, but now I have it and cannot return it. I may sell it and move back to my previous phone. Given that the #1 selling feature is the retina display, it is disappointing to see a low quality pannel used. I really like the iPhone, but this is pretty much a deal breaker - and not knowing if you will get one that does it, or doesn't makes it very hard to "trust" a future production. I would rather have waited for the Sharp pannels and delayed getting an iPhone due to supply issues, than Apple finding an alternative, lower quality, source to produce them.

When trying to log into App Store my keyboard does not come up and it asks me to paste password!

It won't let me log in...because it ask me to paste my password...I have no idea why it just started doing this!

Quit the App Store app and reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
