Landscape Notes, optional?

Quick question.
On the new 3.0 software update, is the landscape notes optional?
cause i hate the landscape keyboard and use my notes app every day and im not gonna be able to use it then.

I would assume, landscape will only show up if you turn your iPhone sideways, the same way it works in all default iPhone app with a landscape keyboard.
As for turning landscape off, I highly doubt they'll include that.

Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

Microphone and camera translation not optional

I've added permissions for use of the camera and microphone, but the app wont let me select them. Any ideas as to why?

I used the Windows key with the "i" key from within the app to open the options menu on which I then selected permissions and made sure that the app had the relevent permissions for the microphone and camera. I also made sure that I had no other
programs open that were using the camera or mic. It's not that the microphone isn't working, the app won't let me select it.
I am using the app om a Windows 8.1 laptop and whilst I have little use for the camera translation the microphone translation would be rather useful. The microphone works fine with other Metro apps like Sound recorder and Skype and also in desktop apps.

Mac OS batch convert .xls to .pdf not option

Mac OS batch convert .xls to .pdf not option....WHY NOT???? This was never issue on Windows, and the software notes it supports pdf convert from .xls format (BUT NOT IN MAC VERSION) Any work arounds? Will this becoming in update? Really not acceptable for such expensive software.

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs. I have looked on my hard drive extensively for a library or utility folder that would have an uninstall program, nothing. I want to install Elements 9, but have found out that Elements 9 does not remove Elements 6, so I want to remove elements 6 first.

Strange that PSE6 does not show up via the control pane.
I wouldn’t worry about uninstalling it. The two versions sit happily side by side and PSE6 takes up hardly any file space compared with PSE9.

HT4191 what if the notes option in Outlook mail doesn't even show up?

i'm connecting to Exchange via port 443 on an iPhone 5 ios 6.0.2
i only have the option to sync Mail, Calendar, contacts, and Tasks, but notes option is missing
i have nothing in my iphone notes, but lots of items in my outlook notes.
things i've tried:
removing all notes and creating 1 new note in outlook

You should check with whomever is running your Exchange serve that the option to sync Outlook notes is enabled. If so, you should have the option to sync your notes. If you don't try, removing and re-adding the Exchange account.

Why does my phone only offer attachments to be opened in drop box and evernote, when before it always gave me the "open in i-note" option-suggestions

does the iphone 4 only offer 2 "open-in" options when dealing with email attchements?
mine used to always offer teh I-note option now it only offers evernote and dropbox- any ideas?

Sorry to just now be getting back to you, but with Thanksgiving and my granddaughter's wedding yesterday, I've been too busy and stressed to worry about my phone again until now.
Yes, I used the default email application, and the email provider is Cox Communications. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Also I was wondering if I should change to IMAP (from POP3)....perhaps that would help the problem? Don't know, as I don't know anyone else who uses IMAP. Your help, again, would be appreciated.

Sync Notes option GONE from iTunes after ML Update?!?

I upgraded to Mountian Lion
Now in iTunes, under the 'Info' tab for my iPhone, I can no longer see the 'Sync Notes on this iPhone with Notes on this Computer' option.
The checkbox & heading has COMPLETELY gone.
I'm assuming this has something to do with ML now having a native Notes.app but this is of no use to me.
The bulk of my notes on my iPhone were created before iCloud existed. And so they belong to the account 'On my Phone'. So even when turning on iCloud syncing for notes on the iPhone, these old notes do not transition to iCloud (A well known flaw amoungst many users I've seen on here).
Does anyone know how else to Sync notes from an iPhone to a Mac running ML?
Once on the Mac, I can simply turn on iCloud syncing for Notes on the Mac, then drag & drop the Notes from 'On my Mac' to 'iCloud'.

I did what you just said (drag & drop) and ALL of my notes dissapeared off ALL of my devices AND iCloud!!!. Fortunately I had backed up my iPhone 4 iOS 6 and still have all my notes in the iTunes backup file. I restored that file (including my notes) and as soon as phone restarted, it re-synced with the empty iCloud Notes and notes disappeared again from my phone. This is absolutely REDICULOUS!!! And I'm still using Lion with latest iTunes update so I still have Sync Notes option in iTunes, BUT IT DOES NOT WORK!!! Somebody at Apple has been drinking WAY too much.

Different font colors in landscape not possible - SERIOUSLY??

Hi Ive just been checking my portrait versions of a textbook and wow... there seems NO way to have different font colors in portrait and landscape??
Thats totally insane. I'll explain why...
IN landscape you can (and should) have full bleed photos and text on top which needs to be an approrpiate colour to stand out against the background image. You can even be a good boy and create a new style to keep things tidy. So far so good.
THEN you go into Portrait edit mode and find the text (now white) has vanished on the *COMPULSORY* (lets not forget) white background for the portrait mode. SO OK , you create a new style for that body text set it to black and carry on right? Nope. It forces the same style on the same text back in landscape which then is black <sigh> and so your're screwed again...
Conclusion? We must ONLY ever use black text EVER in Landscape and Portrait? If I'm right we have a major design inconsistency - and add to that a further inconsistency that the section templates CAN be edited in Landscape mode but 'though shalt not edit the section pages in Portrait' uhmmm.. okayyy.. why?
I'm sure I have this wrong. *Please* tell me I have this wrong.... or let me have a workaround.
P.S. has anyone else found about a dozen bugs in iBA 1.1?
P.P.S. I'm aware I can disable portrait - Dont want to thanks ;-) . Its half the books viewing options.

I hav become a familar rapoteur on these bugs (sorry design inconsistencies) on the report page - is there a list (official or unofficial) where we can see which bugs others have reported to save us pulling our hair out for hours?
I will say that for years I reported loads of bugs for Final Cut 7 etc (as Apple is short of a few bucks and needs free debugging) - and look what happened to FCP

Printing in landscape not working on networked printer

<p>One of our reports that we send to a networked printer, will only print the document in portrait format. We need to have this printing in Ladscape and have not been able to figure out why this one report is not printing in that format, where the other ones are. Is there a setting or syntax that needs to be implemented in the crystal report in order to correct this problem. Thanks.</p>

If my understanding is correct, all reports except one print correctly in landscape.Â If this is the case, then the one report probably has a strange setting in it.Â Compare its print settings and page settings to one of the successful reports (option by option) to make sure they are the same.
If that doesn't show a difference, try exporting the report to RPT format and then setting up the page setting on the new report.Â (This will act like a brand new report but with all of your work intact).Â You get a clean slate at the report options.Â Maybe that is all you need.
Just a thought or two.Â :)

Landscape not working in Office programs

We have 2 users with Windows 7 and cannot print landscape in Excel or Word (have not tried any other programs landscape) we have printed these to other printers and they work fine. I have tried the steps of previous post about choose option print direct to printer and that was marked therefore did not help.

Hi , I see that you are experiencing issues printing in landscape using Word and Excel. Although HP doesn't support Word Software, I am happy to be able to help you as best I can. Try another application to see if you have the same results. This way we will know if it is a driver issue or the application. Make sure you are selecting the landscape option in the print driver and check the print preview to see if it is showing the document in landscape. Apple please make landscape keyboard optional!

Apple please have a feature in the settings menu where we can disable the landscape keyboard in messaging!
Or even have have an option where we can disable the landscape mode in general. Theres lots of times where Im texting and slightly turn my phone and it goes into landscape mode. Or when im laying down and it stays in landscape mode.
Its bugging me!

SolMan ChaRM - System landscape not ready yet

We are configuring ChaRM for an implementation use, therefore all the systems are not set up yet.
Is it possible in SolMan to define logical component without "real" systems ?
We saw that in STMS it was possible to create virtual systems, but how do we link these virtual systems to SolMan ChaRM ?
Is it possible to define a virtual system landscape and to build and configure ChaRM scenario with this ?

Yes, it is possible to define a development system and virtual systems (Q- and P-System).
Via transaction SMSY you can describe the planned Q- and P-System at first as 'virtual'.
Create transport routes with transport buffers as you would do for existing systems.
Define the buffers as they should be named in future.
For experimental purposes we connected our IDES-System to our development SolMan system.
In this environment we could map such a ChaRM-configuration.
In the meantime we practiced it in our production SolMan system, too.

The only thing odd about Pages' Insert file is that it doesn't do its own format.
You obviously think that MsWord is "The Norm" but I found really odd things that it won't do. To the point I, like others here, can't be bothered trying to drive the Word square peg into the Mac round hole.
Mostly Pages works by drag and drop, I'm puzzled why that doesn't work with the thumbnails. But then there are quite a few oddities in every program. Pages is far from an exception.

Feature Request - Flag or note options

Switched from the Dark Side ten days ago after spending my first dozen computing years on PCs. Am tickled with my new Mini and having a great time getting familiar with the Mac environment and learning what different apps can do.
On the PC, I used Thunderbird for email and there are features it includes that I miss in Mail. My preference is to stay with Mail rather than switch to TBird for Mac, but the absence of certain options is a nuisance given the nature of my work.
One thing I'd like to see ASAP are more sophisticated options for flagging, rather than merely whether or not to add a flag to an email message. Minimally, it would be good to be able to choose from an assortment of different coloured flags. But ideally, added to that feature, I'd like to see a tool for setting follow-up reminders (e.g., a right-click option that lets you send a reference to the email and add a note about it in iCal).
Alternatively, being able to attach a sticky or note to a flagged message could provide the additional functionality I'm looking for.
Does anyone know of any plans to add these or similar features to Mail?

Apple doesnt often announce new features/plans unless its a for sure thing, or right before launch. I have not heard of any of these features, but that does not mean they are not coming. If you would like, I have provided the link below where you can leave feedback. This feedback is where apple harvests many ideas for upcoming software.
