Langauage issue -when loading master data text

I have a customer master data attribute and text .
This is master data is customized one. With in function module based on sy-langu it will extract the English,German,French.... customer data
R/3 side -Rsa3 transaction when i logon each logon language it is extracting the correct information with text values based on the logon language.
When I am loading the data for each language it is not loading.It is updating only the english.
I logged on as french ,German loaded data attribute and text also. Still it is not updating in the master data text values with french ,german.
Infopackage selection also I set DE and French.
Master data Infoobject - Text language dependent is marked also.

Almost at the bottom of the page there is the description about the language vector. The settings made in this vector control the extracted languages. As a standard all installed languages in the system are marked here.
In the following link describes how to change the settings.

within the admin workbench goto source systems, right click on your source system and click on transfer global settings. There you can choose fiscal year variants and some other options to be loaded to BW.

Loading Master data :Text for 0GL_ACCOUNTT

Hi,
I am trying to load master data text from BW 3.5 system to BI 7.0 through Export data source. The data transfer is terminated with the following error meassage.
'In the source system, there is no transfer structure available for
InfoSource 80GL_ACCOUNTT .'
I have selected the check box in the Infoobject Characteristic with the export data source and then replicated the data source in BI 7.0.
Please provide me with suitable solution.

Last week I have a problem similar, try to generate 80GL_ACCOUNTT in BI 7.0 first, right clikc in infosource (0GL_ACCOUNTT) -> Generate Export Datasource.

Issue while loading master data from BI7 to BPC

Dear Experts,
I'm trying to load master data from BI7 to BPC NW using scenario 2 mentioned in the below document.

My requirement is need to load 0GL_ACCOUNT attribute and text data from BI7 system to BPC.
1.As mentioned in the How to...doc I had created a dimension called GL_ACCOUNT using BPC Admin client .
2.Able to see GL_ACCOUNT in RSA1, when I try to create a Transformation(step 17 , page-40) to load Attribute data I could not find source of transformation object as 0GL_ACCOUNT(which exist in BI7) . I could only able to see only dimensions available in BPC system when I click F4 in Name.
What could be the reason to not getting BI infoobject as source in BPC?

Dear Gurus,
My issue got resolved. So far I'm trying to pull data from R/3>BW>BPC. In the existing land scape BW and BPC are 2 different boxes. That is the reason I couldn't able to see BW objects into BPC (since 2 are different boxes). To resolve the issue I have created a new infoobect (RSD1) in BPC and data loading is from R/3>BPC infoobject(which is created through RSD1)>BPC Dimension.

Issue while loading Master Data through Process Chain in Production

We are getting an error in Process chain while loading Master Data
Non-updated Idocs found in Source System
Diagnosis
IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not updated.
Processing is overdue.
Error correction:
Attempt to process the IDocs manually. You can process the IDocs manually using the Wizard or by selecting the IDocs with incorrect status and processing them manually.
I had checked the PSA also but I could not find any record and the strange thing is, Job itself is not getting scheduled. Can any one help me out in order to resolve this issue.

This problem is not related to Process chain..
u can try this..
In RSMO, select the particular load you want to monitor.
In the menu bar, Environment >>> Transact. RFC >>> Select whichever is required, BW or Source System.
In the next screen you can select the Execute button and the IDOCS will be displayed.
Check Note 561880 - Requests hang because IDocs are not processed.
OR
Transact RFC - status running Yellow for long time (Transact RFC will be enabled in Status tab in RSMO).
Step 1: Goto Details, Status get the IDoc number,and go to BD87 in R/3,place the cursor in the RED IDoc entroes in tRFC
queue thats under outbound processing and click on display the IDOC which is on the menu bar.
Step 2: In the next screen click on Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call)
place the cursor on the particular Transaction ID and go to EDIT in the menu bar --> press 'Execute LUW'
(Display tRFC calls (will take you to SM58 particular TRFC call) ---> select the TrasnID ---> EDIT ---> Execute LUW)
Rather than going to SM58 and executing LUW directly it is safer to go through BD87 giving the IDOC name as it will take you
to the particular TRFC request for that Idoc.
OR
Go into the JOB Overview of the Load there you should be able to find the Data Package ID.
(For this in RSMO Screen> Environment> there is a option for Job overview.)
This Data Package TID is Transaction ID in SM58.
OR
SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute.It will show you all the pending TRFC with
Transaction ID.
In the Status Text column you can see two status
Transation Recorded and Transaction Executing
Don't disturb, if the status is second one Transaction Executing. If the status is first one (Transation Recorded) manually
execute the "Execute LUWs"
OR
Directly go to SM58 > Give * / user name or background (Aleremote) user name and execute. It will show TRFCs to be executed
for that user. Find the particular TRFC (SM37 > Req name > TID from data packet with sysfail).select the TrasnID (SM58) --->
EDIT ---> Execute LUW

Hi all,
When I does a data load from PSA for master data text,
error appears whcih shows "0OI_PBLTYP : Data record 3 ('INFO') : Language key is initial".
Please tell me why this error.
Hint:I have 17 records in PSA for 11 location types.
11 in English and 6 in German.

Hi Chintu,
Since you have made the info-object as "language-dependent" the system is looking for lang-key in the data. You can either enter the lang-key in the pSA directly. But if the source system is R/3 my suggestion would be that you pick up the lang-key for the datasource. This would ensure that you dont have to edit the PSA each time you load.

Issue while loading master data from BI to BPC

Dear All,
I am loading master data from BI to BPC using the process chain /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER. I ran the package and package status was success. But few member ID's which are available in BI are not getting loaded in BPC. Nearly I have 1300 ID's in BI. Out of 1300,only 1270 ID's are loaded in BPC.
I haven't restrict any ID's using conversion file as well.
What could be the reason? How can I overcome this and load all member's ID in BPC?

Whats the write mode you have chosen for the CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER chain ?
Check if you have the Update mode ..

Issue in loading master data in BI 7.0

Hi,
I fail to understand how to load master data in BI 7.0. Can you please fill in the steps.
1. Created an Infoarea.
2. Created 2 infoobject catalogs ( for char and kf)
3. Created characteristics like empname and month and salary as KF.
4. For empname, attached the attributes dept and address (master data).
Now what steps should I follow to load master data of all employees and what should be my flat file format ?

RSA1 - D Cclick on FlatFile Source System - RClick on the App Comp - Create Datasource of type - Master Data Attributes - Enter the required - Read the File in Extraction Tab - Field Tab - Add Infoobjects already Created under Infoobject Column - Check the Preview to see it shows data fine - Activate the datasource
Create Transformation btn Datasource and Infobject - Activate it
Create Infopackage on Master Attr Datsource - Run it
Create DTP - Run it to load from PSA to IO

Issues with loading master data and hierarchy from BI InfoObject

Hi,
I was successful with loading the master data from BI InfoObject. It copies the text node as well but it discards the space I have in the technical name when it copies it to BPC. For example if my Text Node technical ID is "NODE 1" it copies it as "NODE1" on BPC side because of which my hierarchy load fails as it is not able to find "NODE 1".
What is the reason it deletes the space from technical ID? and how can I resolve this issue?
Do we have a provision to write a ABAP exit where I can check?
(PS: If i manuallay enter space on my BPC dimension the hierarchy loads successfully)

Error in Process Chain while loading Master data text?

Hello All
Having a Process chain and having 5 infopackages(Master data Attri & text)with FULL LOAD with an processing options as PSA and Infobject.In this one of the infopackage failed and the status is in red colour,and when I right clicked there is no <b>repeat</b> option?Now <b>how to run this process</b>?
Heard that v can restart the process in debug screen?can anyone let me know how to do this?

Hi dear,
you don't find the repeat option because this is a full load...I think you can easily restart the entire PC (or loading directly the failed infopackage from RSA1), because full loads for master data don't cause any data duplication !

How to only update existing records when loading master data ?

Hello experts, I need your lights one more time.
Here is my need :
I have created an infoobject (IO) which is a very simple version of 0material, let's call it Znewmat --> Znewmat has material type and trademark as attributes, those two fields are available in 2 different datasources :
- 0MATERIAL_ATTR for material type (field MTART)
- 0MAT_SALES_ATTR for trademark (field MVGR2)
When loading my new IO from 0MATERIAL_ATTR I use a filter (at DTP level) to get only a few material types (I get something like 1000 records),
here is my issue : when I load from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR the field "material type" is not available to keep the same filter as for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and existing records are updated with the trademark, but I also get 5000 records I don't need, and my master data is "polluated" with useless lines.
*and my question : is there a way while performing the second loading to ONLY UPDATE EXISTING RECORDS AND NOT ADD ANY
NEW RECORDS ? (i didn't find anything in main options of my DTP)*
(I'd like to avoid the solution to update the 0MAT_SALES_ATTR datasource to add the missing field)

in the start routine of transformation from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR to znewmat do the following:
select materials from /BIC/PZNEWMAT into i_mat
for all entries in source_package where material eq source_package-material.
loop at source_package.
p_ind = sy-tabix.
read table i_mat with key material = source_package-material.
if sy-subrc ne 0.
delete i_mat index p_ind.
endif.
this way you'll only update records that have previously been loaded by 0MATERIAL_ATTR DS
loading sequence:
first load ZNEWMAT from 0MATERIAL_ATTR. then activate ZNEWMAT. then load 0MAT_SALES_ATTR to ZNEWMAT.

Load Master Data Text for 0COSTELMNT

Hello,
I would like to load text for master Data Cost Element (infosource 0COSTELMNT). The loading is Ok but, when I execute the infopackage the next time, I have the status yellow and the message "The data request was a full update. In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not contain any data. System response
Info IDoc received with status 8.".
It's normal that there are no news datas to upload but the problem is that the process remains not yet completed.
The parameters of the scheduler are :
- selection : none and "Use conversion routine"
- Processing : PSA and then in the InfoObject
- Update : Full update and Fixed Time Interval (start date : today, end date : 31.12.2006)
- Schedule : Start Data Load Immediately
The option Treatment of Warning is set to green.

On the R/3 system, when I launch RSA3 and Extraction for the DataSource 0COSTELMNT_TEXT, the result is 0 enreg too (no selection in the screen).

How to Load Master Data Text from Multiple Source Systems

Situation: Loading vendor master (text) from two systems. Some of the vendor keys/number are the same and so is the description. I understand that if I was loading Attributes, I could create another attribute such a source system id and compound it to 0Vendor. However, I don't believe you can do the same when loading text.
Question: So, how can I load duplicate vendor keys and description into BW using the *_TEXT datasource so they do not overwrite?

Don't doubt, it'll work!
Sys ID as compound to 0Vendor.
If you doubt about predefined structure of the *_TEXT datasource and direct infosource, then use a flexible infosource. Maybe you'll have to derive the sys ID in a routine or a formula.

How to Load Master data text Description into the Data Target?

Hi,
I have a Master data which is an ID, and the description for that ID is added as text description along with the master data.
The datasource is a flat file load, which has both the fields i.e. ID as well as the description along with many other fields.
I need to load the flat file without changing it, into the ODS.
Please suggest a way to load the description of the ID along with the ID into the ODS, and then further into the CUBE.
This description field should be available, while checking the contents of the ODS as well as the CUBE.

FM RSNDI_MD_ATTRIBUTES_UPDATE issue to load Master data

Hi Friends,
Could you please let me understand the functionality of the FM RSNDI_MD_ATTRIBUTES_UPDATE.
We have an InfoObject which has some 10 attributes, now we are enhancing it adding 4 attributes more.
This InfoObject is loaded from Enterprise protal and the RFC which was created to load the InfoObject has the above mentioned FM.
For which the InfoObject is the importing parameter.
Now the issue is after addition of the new attributes to the InfoObject whenever we try to change the master data from EP,
the data related to this IO's new attributes is getting cleared off.
Now my question is that whether this FM will clear the data of all attributes of IO before loading it with new data.
Note: The data to the new attributes are coming from different source which is getting deleted.
Can anyone explain in detail what this FM exactly does.

This FM is usefull to change values of attributes.
I_IOBJNM = name of your characteristic
I_T_ATTRIBUTES = name of your characteristic
I_T_DATA-->
RECORD_NO = is use to identify the row.
IOBJNM = characteristic name
VALUE = characteritic value
IOBJNM = attribute name
VALUE = attribute value value
Example
RECORD_NO     IOBJNM     VALUE
0     0MATERIAL     1000
0     0COLOR     3
0     0WIDTH     100
1     0MATERIAL     1001
1     0COLOR     3
1     0WIDTH     50
if you do not write an attribute that should not eliminate the value that is written
