Language changed to russian

I am using iTunes 11 on Windows 7. I installed the English version of iTunes. It worked fine for a couple of days but suddenly the language changed to Russian or another similar language. Can't really say what language it was since I don't know it. I uninstalled, cleaned up the registry and reinstalled iTunes but surprisingly the language was still not English.
Any idea what the reason can be?
Thank you.

Well I eventually found the English on the drop down menu on the General Preferences tab and changed the language back to English. But nevertheless, I find it very strange that the language changed with no reason.
I don't think the installation was corrupted since it worked for a couple of days after the install without any issue. I synced my phone, listened to music and updated the apps without any problem. A reinstallation didn't solve the problem. So I uninstalled all Apple related software and cleaned the install folders and configuration files on the harddrive as much as I could and cleaned up the Windows registry. However, after a clean reinstallation of the English version of iTunes, the language still remained the same non-English language. So there must have been a configuration file some where left on the harddrive. But isn't strange that the existing configuration file was not overwritten by the new installation? I tried the same installation with another user account on the same computer and the language was not English.

    Severia,
I tried your solution, but it did not work with my laptop. After I restart the laptop, the language does not change and I cannot type the password in English language. Do you have any other suggestion?
    Thank you.

  • E61: Language change shortcut

I have set a lock code for my E61 using english letters. While typing a message, I changed the writing language to Greek. Later on the lock code kicked in, and the language is still set in Greek, so I can't write any English characters! Is there a language change shortcut? The two shifts at the same time don't seem to work

I have exactly same problem. Only I turned off phone after sending a msg in Russian, but my lock code is in English. No way to input lock code from key board if set to another character set. The inability to change character sets from the keyboard is a major bug.All computer applications that support multiple character sets have a shortcut on the keypad to change character sets for this very reason (eg., two shifts, shift and ctl).

  • Why did the language change partially?

After changing the language, some parts left in previous language (ex.: date, weekday, time). I used to reboot, but it didn't help. What shall I do?
P.S.: Language has been changed from Russian to English.

    Look here: Settings>General>International>Region Format...change here.

Language changed and I can't change it back

I suppose that there is an unreadable languge that you do not master.
    - click home button
    - look for the settings icon, if not on the first psge, on one of the following
    - click it, it opens on the page where Airplane mode is the uppermost, it easily found because it has an airplane icon
    - on that first page swipe down to the third segment
    - in that segment click on the first icon (the same icon as ettings itself), (it is "general" in english)
    - in the page that opens, swipe down to the fifth segment
    - in that segment click on the third icon from above, ("international" in english)
    - in the page that opens click on the first icon, it opens a page where you can each language.
    - click "done" when you have done, then it will change the language to what you have chosen (it takes some time). You do not have to restart.

  • Federated Portal Language change not visible on remote role

    Hi,
Remote role assigment is done on consumer portal. This remote portal role comes from a BI Producer portal.
This roles has worksets and iviews attached to it like km navigation iview etc.
User on consumer portal has options to change his language to french from default english.
Here the issue is, this language change does not reflect or apply to the remote role and its iviews or contents.(It continues to show in english) . But it works without problem o n local roles or ivews as expected.
Any idea on how this language change can be effected on the remote role and its contentc will be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ashok D

    Hello Ashok,
You must remember that because this is RRA the content will actually run on the producer (unless this is an AI iView).
This means that the language will be determine according to the user's language defined on the producer itself, therefor you have to change the language of that specific user on the producer portal.
If this does not help it might be that the iView is forcing the language, then we'll have to try somehthing else.
Update me with the results of the first triage,
Also have a look at SAP Note # 1295703 under the Language category, it explains the algorithem of determining the language.
    Best Regards,
    Nadav.

  • Keyboard language changed only in Firefox not other programmes

I have Firefox in English but I use a Spanish keyboard, meaning some keys like question marks or quotation marks are in different places, there are accents, a key for ç, etc. It has always worked normally but today, while the keyboard is working correctly with all other programmes in Firefox it works as if the settings were changed to an English (I think) keyboard.
I don't have that problem with Chrome though, it's just Firefox. How is that possible (add question mark here, I can't guess what key I'im supposed to use for it).
I haven't changed anything in the settings, so the only possibility could be some kind of shortcut I've accidentally pressed, even though I don't know how that's even possible, as I assumed you can't have several keyboard language settings selected at the same time depending on the programme you're using.
I type in different languages so this is terribly annoying! Thanks for any help.

It is possible that you have switched the keyboard layout by accident by using the key sequence to rotate the layout.
    * http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258824 - How to change your keyboard layout
Windows remembers the keyboard layout setting per application and you may have changed the keyboard layout by accident via a keyboard shortcut.
    * http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306993 - HOW TO: Use the Language Bar in Windows XP
    * http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/The-Language-bar-overview The Language bar (overview)
Make sure that you have the Language bar visible on the Windows Taskbar
    * You can do that via the right-click context menu of the Taskbar: Toolbars > Language Bar
    * Check the keyboard language (keyboard layout) setting for the application that has focus via the icon on the Language bar
    * You need to do that while Firefox has focus because Windows remembers the keyboard layout setting per application
    * The default key combination to rotate the layout is the Ctrl+Shift or Alt+Shift combination that is used in Firefox for menu items, so it is quite possible to change the layout accidentally.
    * To avoid an unintentional switch, assign a specific key sequence (Alt/Ctrl+Shift+number) to select keyboard layouts and remove the key combination to rotate layouts (Alt+Shift or Ctrl+Shift)
    * Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Keyboards and Languages > Change keyboards > Advanced key settings > Change key sequence

  • Language change makes me unable to log on my Macbook!

    Hi guys,
So yesterday I changed my language from English to Vietnamese. My computer went on sleep. When I tried to log on, it didn't show up the dots(for the password field). I'm thinking the language change has messed up the keyboards! Could anyone tell me how to fix the problem? I really need to log on my computer as soon as possible. Thank you so much.
By the way, I changed the language to Vietnamese VNI.

Hopefully we can get Tom or others in here to help.

  • How to implement dynamic language change in all Components

    Hi all,
I`m quite confused because i have app in wich i create Language object it is singleton made using abstract factory used for querying text to be shown in components. I has simple method:
    public String getText(String fieldName) {}
Wich returns text. I have also config object to know what desired language i want to have on startup. But problem occurs when i want to set dynamic language change during app run so all containers gets its texts again using language object (which is another type now). Do You have some ideas ??
I thought about extending all JButtons,Frames,Labels etc... and adding method:
void setYourText(Language l) { this.setText(l.getText(// and here we have problem because all fields have unique arguments for getText
    }
