    There should be another setting in the regional options, where it states something about the language used by non-Unicode programs. Try changing that to English and then remove and reinstall.
    However, I use a german Windows version and I do get all the Audigy programs to load up in English, and I believe it is because I simply selected English during the Installation.

  • PO printing in two languages Chinese & English

    Hello everybody:
    Previously, we print out purchase orders in Chinese, and the
    communication language in all vendor master datas are all maintain as
    ZH - Chinese. But from now on, we want chinese and english texts both
    should be printed out in the same PO. We have adjusted the printing form
    which is designed by SAPscript.
    The problem we are facing is:
    For english texts printed in purchase order, the line break does not
    happen word by word, but cut word straightly into new line. Below is an
    short example:
    Transportation condition: All goods should be conveyed by FLIGHT.
    Now we get the print out as:
    All goods should be con
    veyed by FLIGHT.
    When we change the communication language in vendor master data into
    EN - English, the problem disappears.
    My question is, is there any way, except to change communication
    language in vendor master data, to avoid this problem?
    Thanks.
    Andy

    Hi,
    Another way is to change the printing program as follows: for example,
    ALL FUNCTION   'READ_TEXT'
            EXPORTING  OBJECT    = OBJECT
                       NAME      = NAME
                       ID        = ID
                       LANGUAGE  = LANGUAGE
                       LOCAL_CAT = LOCAL_CAT
            IMPORTING  HEADER    = HEADER
            TABLES     LINES     = LINES
            EXCEPTIONS OBJECT          = 1
                       ID              = 2
                       LANGUAGE        = 3
                       NAME            = 4
                       NOT_FOUND       = 5
                       REFERENCE_CHECK = 6.
    Normally the standard program will take the language key from table EKKO-SPRAS, you can change the printing program to take the value from condition record table NACH-SPRAS. It would solve your problem.
    Hope can help you!

    This article may help explain the Error -43

    Even though the article is about connecting to an SMB share, most of it can still hold true when connecting via FTP.
    If you haven't yet, you may want to try using a 3rd party FTP application, such as CyberDuck http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14426

  • Problem with display of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean business partner name

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to understand how to get GTS to properly display the names of the business partners that are in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
    I have set my SAP gui localization as follows:
    - Select the Customize Local Layout, then Options, then the |18N tab,
    and check the Activate Multibyte Function box
    - Select the Customize Local Layout, then Character Set and check
    Unicode and Simplified Chinese
    In the source R/3 system for these partners, if I set my localization to the right language, the business partner's name and address would be displayed correctly in the C/J/K character sets when I select the appropriate version in International Version of the address.
    However, in GTS these names/addresses would just appear as nonsensical characters (like "·ÉÀûÆÖÕÕÃ÷µç×Ó£¨ÉϺ££©ÓÐÏÞ¹«Ë¾").
    For example, if I do a look up of a known Chinese BP by number, in the seach results window the Description field of that BP would just be garbage, but if I put the cursor over the Description field, then the correct Chinese display (matching what is in R/3) would appear for as long as the cursor is over that field. This indicates that the data was transferred correctly from R/3 to GTS, but some how the display does not default to the right character set.
    If I select that record, the resulting detailed display would also have garbage as the Name and Address. However, here putting the cursor over the fields still do not bring up the correct character displays, and I have found no way to get the correct displays to appear.
    Does any one know of a way to get the displays to show correctly in GTS?
    And can anyone explain why putting the cursor over the Description (in the BP search results window) would let the correct display pop up?
    Greatly appreciate any insight anyone can provide.
    Thanks,
    Rex

    Hi Rex - As per message - this looks to be an issue for BC-I18-UNI and not the GTS application:
    For general information purposes - last response from BC-I18-UNI development via oss message:
    "However, from readind the message, I believe I understood the reason for
    the described effect. I assume GGT is a non-Unicode system? If yes, this
    is my idea:
    The data stored in the BP tables, e.g. for number 2555442 have been
    entred manually, probably within a session using English as logon
    language. In this case the data are stored with a Latin-1 codepage. This
    means the stored data are actually Latin-1 data, not Chinese. By
    switching the font at front-end side to Chinese, the characters appear
    as correct Chinese, although they are still Latin-1.
    It is possible that different GUI components show different effects in
    this context, as the internal font switching mechanisms behave a bit
    different in different components, e.g. control based components are
    different from normal Dynpro-based fields.
    To have correct Chinese data, you need to logon with language Chinese.
    This holds for all non-Unicode systems. On Unicode systems, the logon
    language is arbitrary."

  • Issue in viewing 'Print Preview' of SAPScript output in different languages

    Hi All,

    In Print program also while retrieving these text i have used Order's language.
    In debug mode also it is showing texts in different language (Chinese, Japanese, Thai etc...).
    But in print preview it is showing as # every where we suppose to print headers from standard texts.
    How can i view these texts in their original language (Order)!
    Can anybody provide the solution for the same!
    Thanks in advance.

  • Multi Languages for Org Unit

    Hi experts,
    Is it possible to have 2 sets of language for abbr and name in IT1000 for org unit in the same period?
    example:
    Start Date : 01.01.2008
    Language: English
    Abbr: HR
    Name: HR department
    Start Date : 01.01.2008
    Language: Chinese
    Abbr: HR
    Name: HR department (Chinese)
    Regards,
    Joanna

    Hi,
    It is possible.
    But before that need to chk with basis guys whether unicoding is enabled or not.
    If Yes the chk chineese script is enabled or not.
    If yes then maintain the orgunits in english language by entering SAP in English language (U can find the language seletion field in log in screen).
    Upload the orgunits. then go to Tcode RE_RHTRANS0 to put the names in Chineese.
    This is one option.
    2nd option is prepare the excel sheet with Chineese language with orgunit keys. Log in into SAP in Chineese language.
    Upload the data.

  • Unable to read Simplified Chinese in downloaded excel

    Hi,
    We are running an MDMP Simplified Chinese SAP system.
    After extracting some data with both English and Simplified Chinese and saving it as excel file, we are not able to view the Simplified Chinese characters when it is opened in MS Excel.  "Garbage" are being displayed in place of Simplified Chinese.  English display is ok.
    The PC already has Simplified Chinese fonts installed (Control Panel->Regional & Language Options->Language tab->Install files for East Asian languages), and Windows XP is an English version.
    In addition, we are able to key in Simplified Chinese via the keyboard using Hanyu Pinyin.
    I am suspecting that the issue is with MS Excel which doesn't know how to convert the Simplified Chinese.
    Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    as far as I know you need to set the system locale (Language for Non-Unicode programs) of Windows in the control panel to Chinese.
    In addition in a standard  MDMP system it is mandatory to logon with language Chinese if you want to download Kanji characters.
    Best regards,
    Nils Buerckel

    Once in awhile, the icon on the toolbar which lets met know that Firefox is running suddenly changes from English to an Asian language: Chinese? Korean? I don't know what. How do I change it back to English?

    Do you have a U.S. iTunes account or another English speaking store account? You have to have a credi card register to a valid address in that country's store to purchase from it.
    Launch the App Store app, tap the featured tab, swipe to the bottom of the screen and tap on your ID. Tap View Apple ID, enter your password, go down to Country/Region to change the store.
