Language conversion error

Dear all,
    We have imported data from SAP R/3 to BW. The problem we are getting is language. In R/3 they(key users) have mentioned customer name in both English,special characters and chinese. When I use ALPHA conversion routine, its giving error. What I should do to solve this issue?
thanks in advance.

Dear Aswartha,
I guess, you should know about Unicode for this scenario.

  • Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation

    We are currently using SRM 5.0 ECS where we created a material PO and had a problem with the product not having the language E maintain in the material master. This caused the PO to have status of "error in process"  Once we fixed this issue and tried to reprocess the PO we're not getting the following error message in the Application Monitor:
    No Instance of Object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External Reference
    Puchase Order still contains faulty Items
    Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation
    Has anyone seen this or know what we can do to resolve this so that the PO gets replicated in R3?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,
    Regarding this backend error E 212 06 Quantity conversion error in net
    price calculation.
    This error is because in the PO Order price unit is empty. And
    quantity is null. So, please enter the quantity and order price unit
    for this PO and order the PO again. Or you can retransfer the
    PO manually using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC. (for this fm you need
    to input the PO header guid, which you will get it from tx.BBP_PD
    by providing PO number and object type as BUS2201).
    This has worked for other customers.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Conversion Error in Inbound Idoc

    Hi team,
    I have a file with Chinese characters on them. Running the program RSEINB00 results to a conversion error. After debugging, I found out that the error was caused by these Chinese characters. I am already logged in 'ZF' language. Is there something that I need to check or do so that the system will accept these characters?
    Thanks so much.

    Hi amythiel,
    The above has nothing to do with the conversion exits, If you are sure it is because of chinese characters then confirm if you are running on a Unicode system or a non unicode system. If it is a non unicode system, then change the code page(8300, 8304 etc) on the file port to accommodate for Chinese characters.
    The other reason could be that the release version of the IDOC are different between source and the target system, you can check this by using tcode WE82 on both the systems.

  • Unicode conversion errors

    Hello everyone,
    I´m working with a subroutine for testing Unicode in our programs. In UTF-8 there´s no problem. Then I switched the keyboard, language and location in my computer´s settings to czech and try to upload czech texts to UNIX directory like this:
          OPEN DATASET fileunix FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING NON-UNICODE
               MESSAGE msg_open REPLACEMENT CHARACTER '?' IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS.
    Some characters are not correctly interpreted and the system triggers an exception if I erase the addition IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS. If I don´t, then the code looks like this:
    +denní p
    ?ehled regionálních zpráv z kuchyn? iDNES
    30 nejaktuáln?j?ích sportovních novinek
    30 posledních událostí ze sv?ta showbusinessu
    detailní mapa Prahy v?etn? mo?nosti vyhledávání+
    so what´s the idea here ??  how come can the system not read those characters ??   system is MySAP 2005 and unicode-enabled.

    Hi Jorge,
    As you are saying that system is MySAP 2005 and unicode-enabled, try this
    OPEN DATASET fileunix FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    TRANSFER text TO fileunix.
    If you open your text file with ENCODING DEFAULT, the text format used for reading or writing data will be platform dependent:
    -->In an non-Unicode system, data will be written in non-Unicode format
    -->In a Unicode-system, data will be written in Unicode format UTF-8
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks,
    Shilpa K

  • Getting details on Preview "PostScript Conversion Error"

    I'm using Preview 2.1.0 on OS 10.3.9, and I write PostScript code by hand for technical documents.
    When I write a program that is correct, the image shows up in Preview just fine. But if I make a mistake (which is often), all I get is the Preview message "PostScript Conversion Error", which doesn't tell me much.
    Can I somehow get Preview to reveal the underlying PostScript error message, such as "stackunderflow", "rangecheck" or "undefined <name>"? This would same time.

    Thanks for responding promptly.
    Actually, I'm not a professional. Rather, I do PostScript as a hobby because it is a fascinating computer language, and it allows the user to generate extremely precise graphics.
    I suspect that well-endowed PostScript development environments are rare because nobody is really expected to write large PostScript programs -- rather, the user writes a large program in some other language (like C++), and has it generate lengthy, but simple, PostScript code. I've done that myself.
    Still, since Preview can interpret PostScript, and seems to do it right, it'd be a shame if we can't get the text of an error message that the interpreter is presumably generating. My gut feeling is that there is a way.

  • Question on Language Conversion exit

    Does anybody know whether Language Conversion exit gets executed when sourcing data from SAP systems (R/3, CRM)?
    I am sourcing data from CRM, SPRAS(2 digit) is mapped to 0LANG(1 digit) in the transfer structure. Spanish(ES) and English(EN) for some reason is interpreted as English(E) instead of E and S.
    In T002 table I see both the entries for english (E) and spanish (S) and if the conversion exit would have applied, these two digit language code from the datasource should be converted to the corresponding one digit code.
    Can I assume that these conversion routines are executed only when sourcing data from non-sap systems.
    Please let me know your ideas.
    thanks
    George

    Conversion routine ISOLA converts the two-digit ISO language abbreviation INPUT into its SAP internal OUTPUT presentation. These are assigned using the LAISO and SPRAS fields in table T002. An INPUT that cannot be
    converted (because it is not defined as T002-LAISO) produces an error message and triggers the UNKNOWN_LANGUAGE exception.
    Because they are compatible, single-digit entries are supported in that they are transferred to OUTPUT unchanged. They are not checked against table T002.
    The difference between upper and lower case letters is irrelevant with two-digit entries however with single-digit entries, upper and lower case letters stand for different languages.
    Now I have no system availabilty...try to search in SE37 with ISOLA and then F4...
    Did you debug your transfer rules ?
    Bye,
    Roberto

  • Casting and radio select : conversion error

    I'd like to display radio options differently, regarding of their type.
    For example I have an OpenOption class which extends Option. So when I display it I'd like to add an input text box if the user select an open option :
                             <h:selectOneRadio value="#{q.answer}">
                                 <s:selectItems value="#{q.target.options}" var="opt" label="#{opt.text}" />
                                 <a:support event="onchange" reRender="pnlOpenText"/>
                             </h:selectOneRadio>
                             <a:outputPanel id="pnlOpenText">
                                     <h:panelGroup id="innerPnlOpenText" rendered="#{q.answer.class.simpleName eq 'OpenOption'}">
                                       <h:outputText value="#{q.answer.freeTextLabel}"/>&#160;
                                       <h:inputText value="#{q.freeText}" size="50"/>                                   </h:panelGroup>
                             </a:outputPanel>I use the following EL expression to test the type of the selected option :
    #{q.answer.class.simpleName eq 'OpenOption'}It works well BUT if I select the open option and refresh the page, the RadioRenderer fail when trying to convert ALL the options into OpenOption :
    Cannot convert Option[ id=null, text=Q1, rank=0 ] of type class Option to class OpenOptionFor the time being I see only one solution : put a type attribute in my Option class ... I believe this is not the best design.
    Is there any other workaround ?
    Would it be possible to have a renderer which doesnt infer the options type from the selected option but individually for each option ? I don't know anything about the spec ...
    Thanks,
    Bruno

  • Most simple query on Event Hub stream (json) constantly gives Data Conversion Errors

    Hello all,
    Been playing with ASA in December and didn't have any issues, my queries kept working and outputted the data as needed.  However, since January, I created a new demo, where I now constantly get Data Conversion errors.  The scenario is described
    below, but I have the following questions:
    Where can I get detailed information on the data conversion errors?  I don't get any point now (not in the operation logs and not in the table storage of my diagnostic storage account)
    What could be wrong in my scenario and could be causing these issues
    The scenario I have implemented is the following:
    My local devices send EventData objects, serialized through Json.Net to an Event Hub with 32 partitions.
    I define my query input as Event Hub Stream and define the data as json/utf8.  I give it the name TelemetryReadings
    Then I write my query as SELECT * FROM TelemetryReadings
    In the output, I create an output on blob with CSV/UTF8 encoding
    After that, I start the job
    The result is an empty blob container (no output written) and tons of data conversion errors in the monitoring graph.  What should I do to get this solved?
    Thanks
    Sam Vanhoutte - CTO Codit - VTS-P BizTalk - Windows Azure Integration: www.integrationcloud.eu

    So, apparently the issue was related to the incoming objects, I had.  I was sending unsupported data types (boolean and Dictionary).  I changed my code to remove these from the json and that worked out well.  There was a change that got deployed
    that (instead of marking the unsupported fields as null, they were throwing an exception).  That's why things worked earlier.
    So, it had to do with the limitation that I mentioned in my earlier comment:
    https://github.com/Azure/azure-content/blob/master/articles/stream-analytics-limitations.md
    Unsupported type conversions result in NULL values
    Any event vales with type conversions not supported in the Data Types section of Azure Stream Analytics Query Language
    Reference will result in a NULL value. In this preview release no error logging is in place for these conversion exceptions.
    I am creating a blog post on this one

  • How to custom a conversion error in JSF page in JDeveloper

    According to the book "Core JavaServer Faces" p213 (fifth edition), if I add the following line to messages.properties file, and specifiy it in the faces-config.xml and .jsp file, then the displayed conversion error message should be my tailored one instead of the default. However, I still get the default error message. Besides, I didn't find "CONVERSION" variable in UIInput class. Is the book wrong? And what's the correct way?
    javax.faces.component.UIInput.CONVERSION=Please correct your input

    I didn't choose any special in JDeveloper IDE. I just selected "new" to create a file called "message.properties" and put the line there. I didn't specify converters excepts declaring the type in the Jave Beans. I guess the converting is done by the JSF framework automatically. It must be a JSF converter since I created the page as a JSF page.

  • Error while impdp: ORA-02374: conversion error loading table

    Hi,
    I am trying to convert the character set from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8 using expdp/impdp. for this I first convert WE8ISO8859P1 to WE8MSWIN1252 in source DB to get rid of “lossy” data. I created new database(target) with character set AL32UTF8 and nls_length_semantics = ’CHAR’ and created all the tablespaces as in source DB with auoexend on. I took full export (expdp) of source DB excluding TABLESPACE,STATISTICS,INDEX,CONSTRAINT,REF_CONSTRAINT and imported using impdp to target DB. I found below error in the import log file:
    ORA-02374: conversion error loading table "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT"
    ORA-26093: input data column size (44) exceeds the maximum input size (40)

    I checked with select query on both DBs with below results.
    source DB:
    04:58:42 SQL> select count(*) from "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT";
    COUNT(*)

    target DB:

    please suggest me a solution to this.

  • ME21N--Quantity conversion error in net price calculation

    Hi MM experts,
    Issue: while creating PO, when attempting to add the net price for line item. but system removes the cost and gives the follow error message says "Quantity conversion error in net price calculation".
    The system was not able to convert the order unit into the purchase order price unit. Possible reasons:
    i) the conversion results in a net price that is too high, or
    ii) the conversion factor for the units has not been properly maintained.
    iii) Check whether the units of measure and their conversion factor are correct.
    I have checked material master>unit of measure> 1 PL = 22 KG maintained.
    Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue?
    Appreciated early response.

  • Quantity conversion error in net price calculation in BAPI_PO_CREATE1

    I'm creating PO from BAPI_PO_CREATE1 .here i'm getting follwing error
    quantity conversion error in net price calculation.
    plz guide me to remove it.

    Are you using quantities directly entered by the user while calling the function to do the net price calculation? If that is the case, you should use FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT to convert the quantity from the external format into the internal one!
    Another possibility is that some customizing is missing for converting quantities in different unit of measures (like the quantity in pieces is known, but the pricing calculation is being done on kilos.. but the convertion between these 2 unit of measures is missing).
    Good luck!
