this is my wifes computer and she put her old ipod on spanish. now have the computer but i away in hawaii at work and need to change my itunes page to english. i went to preferens and their is not even english spot. i can't read spanish but managed that. i also deleted itunes and resarted it bu that didn't work either. i am going crazy please help!!!!!!!!

I am not absolutely cetain if you are talking about iTunes or the Music store.
You change language in iTunes in Edit>Preferences>General
Lanuage is at the bottom and English is the 5th option. You have to restart iTunes for it to take effect.
In the store, there is a little box at the bottom of the Music store page where you can set your store location.

With iTunes 11 on PCs the drop-down menus are hidden by default - control-B should get the menus to show

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Do what you are being told. Plug the phone into a computer running iTunes and restore the phone.

I had the same problem with my phone, its a 3gs, out of no where my laptop stop recognizing it and wouldnt charge either, i got worried because i had all my pix and videos on my phone and didn't have a copy, so i started searching on the internet for an answer to my issue, bought extra usb cables, used different laptops and nothing worked .. Untill i took my cell phone apart and thought about replacing the (charge port assembly for apple Iphone 3gs) so ordered the part online and 3 days later got it and i just replaced it right now... and guess what/??? IT WORKED!!! YEAP.. NOW MY CELL IS CHARGING AND I JUST SYNC MY STUFF.. I HOPE THIS CAN SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM... AND ONLY COST ME 8 DLLS

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it.
If you do it via a different computer that it's not normally synced to then (from here) :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

Thanks for the reply, The files are on a DVD disk. I coverted my family VHS tapes to digital dvds using an HP Media Centre PC five or more years ago cant remember the program but if I get info on the disk ,on the Mac it tells me the extension is IDI_DVD.

...which is a real shame. I 'married' Kindle very early on, so that's my format of choice. I like being able to read on my e-reader or computer. I find it very odd that Apple hasn't come up with a Mac reader for its eBook format.
