System language English, Numbers in German?

I'm running on 10.5.6 with my location, number format etc. set to German but system language English. Numbers ignores the system language setting and runs in German, and I can't fiund where to change this.

Click once on the Numbers app icon and do File > Get > Info > Language. Make sure English is checked and Deutsch is not checked.
As far as I know, If the system language setting is English, Numbers will run in English if English is checked in the Get Info window even if German is also checked.

Region Brazil, language English - possible?

I have an iPhone 3G 3.0, and live in Brazil.
I want to keep all language/functions in English. And to have the dialing format in Brazilian style (tel number is 8 digits). Is there a way around it in settings/general/international?
If I keep language English and Region Brazil, then calendar and other items become Portuguese.

Well, I've checked in both language, English and Japanese.
Both are virtual machines hosted by Win 7 (VirtualBox).
1. Win 10 Pro 10061, English version:
Japanese Language pack could be selected and installed
successfully.
2. Win 10 Pro 10061, Japanese version:
English Language pack could be selected and installed successfully.
By the way, I've found an odd phenomenon.
When the two virtual machines, Win 10 English and Win 10 Japanese, are running at the same time, "Desktop Background" is synchronized.
i.e. when I change the color to black on one machine, the color of the other is changed to black automatically, vice versa.

How to sync two computers with two different languages (english, german) without having entries like "Recently Bootmarked" in both languages?

On a PC i have Windows 7 in running in German, and Firefox also in german. My MacBook Pro is running in English, so Firefox also does.
When Firefox is syncing, both language phrases are synced. The English version adds "Recently Bootmarked" and "Recent Tags" ... the German Version adds "Kürzlich als Lesezeichen gesetzt" und "Kürzlich verwendete Schlagwörter". These entries are the same, only language sensitive.
How can i fix this?

Why is the language different from the initial language English when I switched on initially

I have a HP colour laser CP2020 series. When I switched on the machine initially the language was English as I want it to be. All of a sudden the language has changed to some other language (Print for Pronto what ever that indicates). How can I reset it to have English instructions on the LCD display. while login into system with client, User name , password, enter language "EN".
then you can work in system with English language.

Add to portal favorites works only in User-language english

i've got a litte problem with the funktion "add to portal favorites".
We use our portal to publish BW-Reports (BW7.0). Our development-language is english.
Both system (BW and EP) are configured in english.
In the portal (EP 7.0) we have the problem, that the "add to portal favorites" funktion works fine when the user-language is english. When the user-language is german only a few iviews can be added to the favorites....
Does anyone have an idee where my bug is?

Try this.
Change the iView properties, these forces all BI reports to fire in EN,
The setting in the iView of Application Parameters and set this to u201CLanguage=ENu201D.Then this Overrides the local setting of the Portal and forces a BW report to fire in EN.

Change log-in language to default language (English)?

My log-in language is Korean but my default language is English. The log-in language used to be English but it suddenly changed back to Korean? Is there a way to change my log-in language to my default language? I tried re-installing Mavericks and even changing the language using the terminal method but it didn't do anything.

Finally I got it!
In order to have the job log in English, you have to modify also the locale language of Data Services using the SAP Data Services Locale Selector tool.

I have the chance to get an english original packed and never used Acrobat 8.0 Prof. The owner told me that is it possible to get a language pack to use this Acrobat version with german GUI. Is that true?
I was always thinking the software versions are all language dependant? Is it possiple to "switch" this english versio nto a german version in a legal way, or not?

told by the support that I had to send my French version back and get an
English one and that the serial on my box was French only...
Anyway, I ordered the trial DVD (with English version) for a few euros
and I happily activated this English version with my said French-only
code ! No hassle...

Why can't I buy a movie in original language (english) because I live in Switzerland?

I really grinds my gears that I'm restricted to mostly German, French or Italian for the choice of the language of the movies I want to watch. I have to check every movie to make sure it is available in english, and I can only see that information on iTunes on my computer, which also ****** me off.
Apple, please do something about it. Why can I buy a DVD which will automatically have the original version in it, and not be able to buy a movie from iTunes without having to make sure it is in english when the movie WAS MADE IN ENGLISH...?

Because the movie studios released the movie to Apple with only those languages available.

Also, you should write the movie studios and tell them you want iTunes releases to be released with the original language as well as the language of the country it is released in.

Conflict language english french

I have a french version of dreamweaver cs5.5 and windows 8 in english. i am having problems with crashes and memory errors. . I am pretty sure it is a problem with the two language versions. Is there any way to get an upgrade to an elglish version? I have a license number if you need it., thank you, bret

This is probably what you'd call a cross-grade for a nominal fee rather than an upgrade. They do it when you change from Mac to PC, or PC to Mac, but have never heard of it for changing languages. Either way, you'll need to get in touch with abode's sales for that, but you'll may find that you have to pay for an upgrade to CS6... but don't take that as gospel.
I tried it once with Quark where they were selling V4, but I wanted the stable V3.3. Quark told me they wouldn't do it as it would be like BMW selling old model cars as new ones... so I bought InDesign 1 because it was cheaper than the upgrade price of Quark!

Reinstall language (English) pack

After using Monolingual, in my own stupidity I unchecked the languages I wanted to delete and kept the English and French languages checked !! I noticed my error within seconds ...But the damaged was started. I now have an address book I can hardly read.
What is the best way to repair my stupidity! Can I just replace the English and french Language packs without reinstalling.(Starting over) ?
I have about 125Gigs of family history etc,etc in this Mac.

The only way to restore language localizations is to reinstall the entire operating system. You should be able to do that as follows:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

Solution manager requires Microsoft office products use language ENGLISH

In config guide for Solman SP6 section 3.1.2, there is a requirement that MS office products must have language setting EN.
Many of our customers use their own MS Office products with other language settings than EN.
Is this really a requirement or what happens if any user does not have language setting EN active in her/his MS office product? Which services in SolMan does not work anymore?

Solution manager language is english and in SAP business solution system (ERP2005) language is Finnish (=Finland). English and Finnish are in same code page. Customization in ERP should be created in Finnish language.
Is there some limitations if languages are different or why did you asked?
Regarding problems in config guide creation, macros in MS products are language dependent? like methodnames macro_execute() (EN) vs. macro_ausfuehren() (DE)? And if current language in MS product is other than EN, the macros used in config guide don't work?
