Language for iTunes

I live in China but don't read Chinese. My iTunes account is tied to the US store as I'm from there. After upgrading to iOS 6 iTunes, the bookstore and the App Store are all in Chinese. How do I change this? My language settings are all English.

At the bottom of the page where it says "my store", have you selected "United Kingdom" as the store country?

  • Language for iTunes movie

I have bought a movie from iTunes, and it comes just in spanish. I would like to have it in english. Is it possible to select an additional  language after downloading? Is the language of the movies fixed prior to buying them? How could I select in What langage do I want a movie .

Im not 100% sure but i think it depends on the movie you have bought and if it has a multitrack recording or not. I dont think it would be possible to add another language after downloading.
The way to select the language you want in QuickTime Player is open the movie and then go To the 'View' menu up the top and go down to 'Langues' and there you will be able to see the options for the movie you have purchased.
What movie was it if you mind me asking, im interested in looking at what the movie says in the description.
    Hope this helped,

  • Change the language for iTunes

    thanks

In Windows the second menu item is Edit, the last command in the list is Preferences, the first tab of the dialog that pops up is General and the last dropdown box on the page lets you select the Language. The second button in from the bottom right is OK.
After changing the language setting close and reopen iTunes to effect the change.

  • Purchasing additional languages for movies on Apple TV

    Hello,
We are a multilingual family, and are trying to promote the use of all our languages to our kids, French, Italian and English. We use the Apple Tv extensively, and I was wondering if there is an option to purchase aditional languages for movies on the Apple TV.
for example we purchase kids movies on the French itunes store and it includes both french and english languages, but not italian. However that same movies is available on the italian itunes store in italian. However since I have already purchased the movies i don't want to buy them all again on the italian itunes store. That would cost too much, but also we would have duplicates of our movies and in seperate itunes store accounts just to be able to watch them in different languages. This would be very inconvenient. In other cases, some movies on the french itunes store only have french as the language, however the english and italian languages are again available in the english and italian itunes store respectively.
The world is becoming ever more international and multilingual, and access to languages should not be so complicated. In fact Apple has always been a pioneer in offering all languages on their Mac OS and iOS, embracing the multilingual spirit.
IT would be extremely useful, if we could add aditional languages to an already purchased movie.
thank you for your help, if you have a solution to my problem.

  • Can't find Danish language in iTunes Connect when choosing localizations

I tried to upload a new app in English language but got the following e-mail from Apple:
    Dear xx,
You can now edit the default language of your app’s metadata on iTunes Connect at the app level and it can be changed at any time. Customers are more likely to read about your app if they can do it in their native language, and we encourage you to translate your metadata for each of the countries in which you offer apps.
To edit the default language for an app, go to the Manage Your Applications module, then click Edit for your App Information. Any previously added localizations will be available for selection in the Default Language dropdown. If you wish to add a new localization to your app, you can do so from the App Localization section of your app's version details page. Adding a new localization will require a binary update so that Apple can review it.
If you need assistance translating your metadata into additional languages, there are third party vendors who can provide internationalization and localization services for your app.
    Regards,
    The App Store team
I then rejected my binary to be able to add languages. However, I can't seem to find the Danish language, only Swedish, which is a neighbor to Denmark, but not the same language. What to do?
    Thanks very much in advance,
    /Lasse Bunk

I recevied same message from Itunes, but my defualt language  is arabic, and it's not available , so I did only translet the metadata to english + arabic .. and I didn't reject the binary but I don't apple will accept this or no, and I don't how they asked us to change the defualt language  to our language  that is not available in itunes !!

  • Change country or language settings - iTunes match

I've subscribed for iTunes match and now I'd like to change my country or language settings from Germany to Holland. If I need to unsubscribe iTunes match then how do I do it. I could not find any option to unsubscribe iTunes match in Itunes.

Your best route is to call Apple direct, explain what you are trying to do and work with the pointers they provide.
To unsubscribe, you would need to go into your current account, de-select options for automatic renewal.  De-authorise your computers and sign out of iTunes - but it is worth assessing with Apple whether this will achieve what you need.
The rule to watch is the one that requires 90 days to elapse before you can use your computer with another Apple Id - it may be that there is no neat route around this deliberate service restriction that Apple have designed in - other than the obvious, to use a second computer (or an emulator on your current computer).

  • Why does the font used for iTunes show as an outline?

I cannot get the font used for iTunes to change from an outline. I am using Suitcase Fusion and have turned on and off the Office fonts etc.

Try this: Go to Control Panel, Fonts.
On the left pane click "Font settings" > uncehck "Hide fonts based on language settings" > Click "Ok" at the bottom. Restart you computer just to be sure the setting went through. See if that helps.

  • Additional languages for movies?

    Hi There;
So when I buy a movie like "Brave" and download my digital copy, why do I not get all the language options it says are there on the iTunes store?
Why does the digital copy not come with all the languages which the DVD and BluRay came with, and that the box claimed on it's label?
If I were to download another copy from the iTunes store would I get all the languages then?
It would be nice if there were a way for me to download additional languages for a small fee.
Have I missed something, or am I correct that I need to download the full movie again from iTunes for full price to get additional languages?

  • Language for Leopard

    Hi,
I just bought a new Leopard OS X software. All docs and the explanations are in German (as I bought it in Switzerland). The sales guy said that I can easy change the language for everything into English. is that true and where can I change that ? Sorry I just want to make sure that I can change everhting to English so my wife (who doesn't speak German) can continue the MAC without problems and that all drop downs/menus etc are in English.
    Thanks for help
    L.

Not really an iTunes question - go to System prefs>Personal>International>Language and make your selection. That is how it is in Mac 10.4 - I only assume that some things remain the same in 10.5.

  • HT1926 why can't i sign in for itunes and buy songs. it says error 0000000xmething am i missing something and what is an extender player i am missing that

why can't i sign in for itunes, it says the itunes store is unavaible. but it has been for a whole month now, why can't i buy songs, it lets me listen to the radio only but not buy or open my account, it says error 00000000x something, and what am i missingto listen and download and to buy itunes

    Hi Bill!
If the decrypt went without any interruptions or anything that looked like an error then your computer is probably OK. The fact that none of your accounts can log in leads me to believe you may some corruption somehwere else.
Find your software installation CD or DVD that came with your Mac or that you purchased in a store and insert it into the drive. You can boot to it by holding down the "C" key at startup.
After you pass the initial screen for language you'll see the software installation page. Ignore this. Instead look under the menus for Disk Utility. Run Repair Permissions and Repair Disk. Restart and try to log in again.
If that doesn't work then restart from the disk again and look for the menu option to reset an administrator password. If you can get into just one admin account then you should be able to reset passwords for any others.
If resetting an admin password doesn't work then I suggest you look into using a third party tool such as DiskWarrior from Alsoft <http://www.alsoft.com>. It is an excellent tool for repairing disk problems. If you have Apple Care then you may have also receieved a CD for TechTool. You can run that as well.
    Hope this helps!

  • Download movies in italian language on iTunes living outbroad

Hello everyone. I'm Mattia, I'm italian but I live in France. I would like to buy movies from iTunes in Italian language but I can purchase movies only from iTunes France beacause my credit card works on a french circuit only and it doesn't work on iTunes Italia.
How can I download movies in Italian language from iTunes France? Is there any solution for this?
    Thanks in advance!

You can only buy content from your own country's store, so if you are in France then you can only buy from the French store. Some films might have multiple audio tracks on them - what language(s) a particular film is in should be listed on its description page in the store e.g.
If there is a particular film that you'd like the Italian version of then you can try requesting that it be added to the French store, but ultimately it's the film studio that will have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
If a film does have different audio options then this page explains how to select the one that you want when watching it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5562

  • Custom language for particular song's title

    Hi,
I really like VoiceOver feature that reads a title of currently played song when you'll press remote button for a while, but it's not perfect.
My music collection consists of English, Polish, French and few Chinese songs and voice over tries to read it always "in English" (UI language). Only exception are Chinese songs that are being read by different voice in proper Chinese.
How can I set proper language for particular song?
In Nano 5G VoiceOver was generated by iTunes and everyone could define language for particular song, but 6G seems to synthesize speech on iPod, which is not an issue itself.
Issue is that I can't find a way to define language for each song separately.

Right click on the track in itunes and select get info. Then select "Options". On that screen you will see an entry for Language. It is most likely set to "Automatic" just select the language you prefer and you are good to go.

  • Italian Language for Switzerland!

    Hello,
I live in Switzerland, Italian part (Canton Ticino). In Switzerland there are four official languages: German, French, Italian, Rumantsch.
In Canton Ticino the official language is Italian.
Why must I read dozen of pages in German or French for every modification of the iTunes terms of use?
Why the iTunes preferences are for German or French language?
Why I cannot choose the Italian language for renting the movies?
Can you add the Italian Language for the iTunes software, please?
This is really important for the 400K people living in the Italian Swiss part. Thanks for transmitting this request to the Management.

As you see in this document ->  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2242  the iTunes Switzerland Store has English as an available option, which you appear to be pretty good at.
