Language in Phone

yesterday, I have installed the latest version software for my phone X3. Every thing seems like normal, however, I found that my phone language supported all reset, the only language I am able to read is English, other got something like the "jawah" language and some more. All my songs (Chinese) name displayed as square box!!! What can I do to get back the Chinese language for my phone?

Try to reinstall firmware, and if it doesn't return to previous state, you'll have to visit your Nokia Care Point to have it reinstall.

Language after phone firmware update

Hi, I have a Nokia 6233 (product code:0538465), purchased in Slovenia and ofcourse it has slovenian language. The reason why I wish to update my phone is, because it restarts really often when I am using the internet. My main concerne is now: Will I have Slovenian language after I update? Phones current firmware version is v5.10. Thanks for any helpful answers.

If your phone was originally purchased with Slovenian language support, that updating to new firmware will not result in language loss. However if you phone is originally made for other market then you will loose your language.

Does a multiple language supported Windows Phone 8 Application support Bengali Language (Bangladeshi language)?

Hello,
I am developing a Windows Phone 8 application (for Nokia/ Microsoft Lumia) where multiple languages will be supported. Now, it is needed to support Bengali (Bangladeshi language) in my Windows phone 8 application.
But, I didn't find Bengali language in the Setting -> Language -> phone Language. So could anyone tell me that a multiple language supported windows phone 8 application support Bengali language or not. If it is possible, then how user will change
the app language from phone setting?
FYI .. From Microsoft OEM documentation, I have known that Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 includes support for Bangla (Bangladesh language).

As far as I known the Bangla language is supported as a on-screen keyboard language on the Windows Phone 8. But it is not supported as a display language in Windows Phone 8, so you can not choose this language from the phone setting. For more information,

Proposal to extend dialer functionality (english and other language for T9 search in dialer)

Hello.
Here is a proposal to extend functionality of dialer.
In current version T9 dialer language is set to english (always) + some other language (optional ONLY IF menu's language is different fron english).
For example.
Menu language - english, dialer T9 - english.
Menu language - russian, dialer T9 - english + russian,
Please add possibility to choose language for T9 dialer with menu's language set to english. It is usual option to other dialers.
I want to use english language for phone, but i need both english and russian for T9 dialer.
You need just to add option to dialer's preferences to add T9 language independently to menu's language.
Can you do it in further updates?

How I can change language of phone on Russian? In adjustments is only English German and Bulgarian. Whether it is possible simply download an additional file and to change language in adjustments or to go in shop and to pay money for an insertion? p.s. Service-center here is not present

X2-02 Writing Language is limited to Two

Hello Nokia/Forum Users,
I recently bought this Nokia X2-02 from a local store in Bangalore. The set is super and works well with FW 10.91 RM694. Thanks to Nokia who finally released a handset suitable to India, what I mean here is that the keypad has English ONLY language compared to ENG+HINDI in the older models.
Now there is a Language problem/limitation in this handset, during SMS typing, I choose Options->Writing Language, I get only English or Hindi, I don’t get any other language options even though its present in this phone.
Under Settings -> Device -> Language Settings, I can choose any language and phone displays that language but even then I cannot type in that language. In older handsets we could type in the language that’s present in phone.
Is this a bug in the phone? Will this be corrected in the coming versions of software update?

The available languages in the phone should be available for texting as well.
Try a software update with Nokia Suite and. Click on the green arrow to see all available updates. If none are available you will be able to reinstall your current software.
If an update doesn't fix the issue, contact your retailer instead.

Cisco SPA 50X Language Selection on 7.5.5

Hello all,
I have read many threads on language selection within the forum and there seems to be no consistency.
We have a couple of SPAs which are now running 7.5.5. The trouble is, we also cannot use any other language than English.
Our SPA525er seem to be OK: you choose a language and the UI changes. But for SPA502 and SPA504 this does not work: you choose a language, the phone accepts it, but nothing changes - the UI remain in English.
Hiere is a part from our config:

So, syslog says everything is OK, our web server confirms that, too. No error or reboot on the phone, just wrong language in the UI. We tried German and Russian to no avail. Botth 7.5.5 and 7.5.4 exibit the same behaivour. And it makes no difference if we put the language selection in config or choose it from the phone UI or Web-UI - the result is the same.
I would really appreciate any help - our customers are killing us.

Language problem affecting access - Q5

Hello `blackberry family.
After i sent a message this afternoon and put my phone in the pocket before it locked the screen, it prompted and changed the laungauge due to the friction. The biggest problem is i dont know what the new langauge is but after i checked another BB handset to confirm, i found out that its the language that is exactly above the english option on the selection list. When i type in my password, it wont grant me access becuase the characters are different. The help i need is to type my current password using the characters for the language which the phone has changed to. i think i may need share my password and then get someone to advise me the matching characters in the language the phone is using. The second option is for me to be know what language this is and then check if google can help convert for me.

it was working fine on a windows XP environment prepared for arabic language, but when i had to move to windows vista it did not workStrange. Maybe you need to compare the differences of some system properties on both hosts, for instance, sun.io.unicode.encoding, file.encoding, user.region, and so on.

N97 voice playback language change

I am trying to change the language for voice tag playback to Croatian, but leave phone interface language in English. Is ti possible?
If I set English as Phone language (Settings->Phone->Phone language) everything is played by synthesized English language and user interface is in English. If I set Croatian as Phone language everything is played by synthesized Croatian language and user interface is in Croatian.
Are there no other possibilities, like Voice playback language on S40?

Settings->Phone->Speech changes Language and Voice (e.g. Ellen) options which are used for speech apps like reading Text Messages. And it works fine (although there's no Croatian language available for download, thanks Nokia)
But that has nothing do to with playing Voice tags (do ones you hear when person calls you). They're played in the Language of phone interface (Settings->Phone->Language). You can hear them via Contacts->(Select name)->Options-Voice tag details->Options->Play voice tag.
I would like to play Voice tags in language other than phone's language, not text messages.

7821 IP Phones showing FAC in screen (not masking with *)

Hi, everybody.
I have a problem with 7821 phones regarding FAC showing in their screens after you dial a phone number without the * to mask it. In every other model of phones we have the normal behaviour is to mask the FAC with * after you dial a phone number.
This is some info:
CUCM version: 8.5.1.10000-26
Device Pack version: 8.5.1.17113-2
7821 Firmware version: 10-1-1SR1-4
*** Other problem we currently have is that the spanish locale for this phone is not accepted by the platform, stating this message:
po-locale-s_CO-10.1.1.1000-1.cop.sgn
Major and minor version numbers obtained from the name do NOT match those of the current version.
And because of this I haven't been able to configure spanish language on phone, since most of my users speak spanish only.

Change Menu Language to English?

Hello! My hubby bought me a Nokia 7373 as a gift - we are currently located in Germany. When I put my sim card in the phone, the menu displayed in German _ is there a way to change the menu language to english??

You are going to have to find your way through the menus (sorry, I speak no Spanish):
-Menu
-Settings (spanner icon)
-Phone (phone and spanner together icon)
-Language settings
-Phone Language
You will probably find it set to 'Automatic', simply choose English from this list.

Changing language on older model nokia

I have an older annalog version of mokia model number 6165. My husband inadvertanly switched language to spanish. I can't find an option in the menue under spanish to switch to english can someone help.

I don't speak any spanish, but will try to help anyway.
In english, the menu would be sth. like "Menu/Settings/Phone/Language settings/Phone language/English".
In spanish, it could look like this:
"Menu/Ajustes/Ajustes telefono/Ajustes de idioma/Idioma del telefono/English".

E 51 wrong language

I updated my nwe Nokia E 51. It was dutch and dutch language,
but after the update it is a English language.
In mij telephone i go to Tools>>Settings>>general>>personalisation>>language..but i can not change the writing languages or phone languages.
I only can choose 4 differtent languages ( english and some far country languages but i can not select DUTCH.
Who can advise me wat to do?

Writing language t9 Dictionary N73

No. The T9 dictionaries are tied to whatever languages the phone firmware supports.
Separate dictionary apps like SlovoEd, etc., you can install as many you wish (from Nokia Software Market or where ever), and they can support various language dictionaries, but they will have no effect whatsoever on what T9 languages are supported.
