Can you take a photo of the BIOS screens and post them here?
Otherwise, take a look at the BIOS screens and look for the word Sprache. That is the German word for language.   The word for English in German is Englisch.

setup problem, windows xp, firefox upgrade to 4 and asked to reboot but did not progress. keeps asking to restart even if I try to remove

    Hi marsano,
Usually the only reason it will ask you to reboot is if there is a file that must be modified that the updater doesn't currently have access to. You should try running the Firefox program once as Administrator:
    * Right-click the icon and choose ''Run as Administrator''
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
    # Download a fresh copy of Firefox from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/fx/ Mozilla download page] and save the file to the desktop.
    # [[Uninstalling Firefox|Uninstall]] your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before running the new installer.
    # Run installer
Remember that you don't want to remove personal data when uninstalling. That way you'll still have your personal information.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Bluetooth before Windows 7 loads

    Dear All,
I sent off my IQ507 to be upgraded from the original Vista to Windows 7 Professional. My tech did a great job, but was surprised by the 2.4Gh radio dongle (not Bluetooth) embedded in the case. He broke it, and that was the end of my original wireless keyboard and mouse... HP does not sell the dongle separately, and a new complete set would have cost us about $70.
I had noticed that my WiFi signal was spotty anyway, and since the computer also has Bluetooth built in, I figured I would use the opportunity to upgrade to a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I figured that having one less radio transmitter in the room could help with the WiFi, and it DID! My signal now makes it through the walls better.
Anyway, I do have a small issue remaining. The old non-Bluetooth dongle was connected by USB, and it made my keyboard available during boot in case I wanted to enter BIOS setup. The built-in Bluetooth transmitter only turns on when Windows 7 is running. I can't enter BIOS setup, and I cannot wake the computer from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.
I don't have a USB keyboard to experiment with, but I'd buy one if someone out there can assure me that there is a way to enable the built-in Bluetooth in BIOS, so that the new keyboard will work during boot and to wake the machine from sleep. Has anyone found documentation on this, or would you be willing to explore your BIOS for me to see if there is a setting? Logitech (maker of my keyboard) informed me that for USB devices there is a "Legacy USB Support" setting, but it appears that our built-in bluetooth does not go through USB.
    Thanks!
    David

I think a program is trying to execute before windows is booting up,what apps are present in your startup item list? Press msconfig in the search box of the start menu and check the programs list which run on system startup

Can you elaborate on the question a bit? You're asking how we setup LVM on a Windows Server, but that depends a lot on what the server is for.
Maybe you can clarify your question and I can assist.

  • How to setup the windows installed pxi to RT target

how to setup the windows installed pxi to RT target?

    Ranjith,
I think the answer for your 1st que is NO. In the sense, you can run the code, but it may not work precisely as it is supposed to...
A target can be said to be an RT, if & only if it has an RTOS installed in it, not just Windows, which is not a real-time OS.
Youcan run the existing code in Windows, but as I said earlier, it may not give you the actual results.
Finally, hereafter, pl dont use the term 'box' for a PXI. It is a chassis with a main module that runs on Windows or an embedded RT processor/conrtoller that runs on an RTOS like VxWorks or Phsr Lap.
Hope this helps you to some extent...

If you use extensions like <i>Adblock Plus</i> or <i>NoScript</i> or <i>Flashblock</i> that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.<br />
You can see the installed Firefox extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions".
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Using the isight camera in the bootcamp setup with windows 8.1

    Hi
I am running OSX Maverick in a bootcamp setup with Windows 8.1 and have played around with the isight camera but I would like to know what folder the photo's/video's are sent to?
Also, are there any settings or user guide for the isight camera in Windows 8.1?
    Thanks

I don't use Boot Camp, but does anything here help you? Boot Camp - Apple Support.
My look there did not show anything about the new Windows 8.1.  The latest I saw was Windows 8.
Brave01Heart wrote: ... what folder the photo's/video's are sent to?...
The answer will be wherever the app you are iusing for the capture stores them unless you change the default location.  This answer is the same for either Windows or Apple operating systems.

  • Setup Blocked : Windows Program Compatibility Mode

I'm trying to install "Modeling SDK for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013" on Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 10049:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40754
    But always get:
    "Setup Blocked"
Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try Setup again.
Compatibility tab on the setup VS_VmSdk.exe shows compatibility mode is off.  No variation of settings on that tab have any effect.
Is there any way to bypass the compatiblity check on Windows 10 Tech Preview?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Rick, Have you had any success with this? I'm also trying to run the tfs_VssUpgrade.exe tool on my Windows 8.1 machine and getting the same exception. Greatly appreciate any insight if you were able to get past this issue! Thanks, Steve
    Same issue here.

    Hello Alxandr,
Thank you for taking the time to submit this issue to Connect. This is a known issue with Windows 8.1 RTM and it will be addressed in a future update of Windows 8.1. In the meantime, you can typically rename the EXE to get it to work correctly.

  • How to use foreign language soft in CS5/Window 7

I use a language software (Vietnamese) for photo captions. It works in CS5 in Window XP Professional but not in Window 7. What do I have to do to be able to use the language software in CS5/Window 7 ? I did check the all the type options but it still does not work.

Is this language software advertised to be compatible with Windows 7?  The incompatibility may not have anything to do with Photoshop.
One of the big differences between Windows 7 (also Vista) and XP is the User Account Control facility.  It is possible that if you can't get a newer version of this software that you might be able to make it work by reducing the level of Windows 7 UAC.  Click Start and type UAC in the search box to access the setting to do that.

  • Black screen with white texts before Windows start in Boot Camp

I just bought my Macbook 13" and installed Windows Vista in Boot Camp. Everything went fine, Windows run seamlessly with the native speed that's said. My only problem is when I start Windows, it goes through a black screen first with a lot of white texts. One is the message "Unrecognized partition table drive 80. Please rebuild using Microsoft Fdisk Tool." Among others, this message repeats a number of times before Windows start. I don't have any problem after that, except that it delay the start up. I have tried to change a lot of settings that is associated with start up, so far nothing work. Can somebody out there help.

Highlight the phrase and add "Mac" to it, and do a look-up in Google.
"Unrecognized partition table drive 80. Please rebuild using Microsoft Fdisk Tool."
That error is listed on other threads and Microsoft, just easier to find and link thru Google than Apple forum search.
Hopefully that will help. But I would boot from Vista DVD and go through the automatic system repair too.

  • Windows 7 - "Cannot complete setup" of Windows XP Mode

I am running Win 7 OEM 64 bit PRO on new PC:
AMD FX-8120, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 MOBO, latest BIOS
The setup gets to 99% then fails with the above message. So far I have tried:
Ensuring Virtualisation is on in BIOS
There are no bootable disks in the drive
I am running as admin with my own account logon name
I have run SFC - no conflicts
Yes I have downloaded the correct XP mode file
I have re-installed Win 7 and tried to run before installing any drivers or apps  - same problem.
Now what? I tried vmware but the standalone converter gave me an error message saying it was not configured properly.  I suspect either a policy problem with Win 7 or a MOBO bios incompatibility. Anyone got any ideas?

    @robonline
I believe I'm seeing this same issue as well, I've got a windows 7 system that was running with an Athlon II 250 on which Windows XP mode installed and worked perfectly.
However when I upgraded the CPU to an AMD FX-8150 (in an otherwise unchanged system) Windows XP mode no longer starts properly, it seems to hang before the Virtual PC starts to boot the OS (so possibly either during BIOS POST, or right
    at the transition.
I've discovered that it doesn't ALWAYS fail, and if power of the Virtual PC and Start it again a few times in quick succession it seems to then get past what ever point causes the problem and then boots the XP Virtual PC and
it works normally until it's next turned off.
So if you need XP mode (as I do for some work applications) the (crazy) work around might be to install XP mode with a none bulldozer CPU (if the try, try, try again method doesn't get the installer to work) you can probably get it to
start once you change back to your bulldozer CPU by simply trying to start the installed OS a few times in short succession.
    @Alex
Many thanks for looking into this!
