Language incorrectly defaults to german

Adobe Reader 9 incorrectly defaults to german. Correct language should be English. How is this corrected?

Uninstall Adobe Reader via Add/Remove Programs, then download and install the English version installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi

  • Proofing language for new mails is always "English UK" though default is German

I have Office 2013 Professional Plus installed, English version with German language pack. As "Editing Languages" I have configured German and English, with German the default one.
Still, when I create a new e-mail and start to type, all the German words are highlighted because the proofing language is set to "English". Even when I create a new, empty e-mail and go directly to "Review", "Proofing Language",
it is set to "English (UK)".
Other users (using Office 2010) are reporting the same issue. How can this be changed?

Is this only occurs to Outlook (both 2010 and 2013) ? How about Word?
Check if the users are using custom Stationery, if so, remove the custom Stationery and check if the behaivor still persists.
Normally, we can find the custom Stationery under the following location:

  • BW Statistic 2.0 (New) defaults to German

We have installed Business Content Workbook BW Statistic 2.0 (New).  Each time we launch the Workbook it defaults into German.  As each query is refreshed it changes the language to English.
Has anyone had a similar problem and know how to resolve.  I would prefer not to use automatic refresh on open as a workaround.
The user's logon language parameter is set to EN in the BW system.

Well I'm sure about the fact that ODS Export Data Sources do exist in BW2.1C:
    - when you load from an ODS to a Cube usually you do use an InfoSource named as 8 Create Export Data Source. Even these DS have "8" as prefix ...
Export DataSources are those DataSources used to load through the DataMart interface, so from ODS to Cube, form Cube to Cube ...
To say the truth I never worked on  BW 2.0 ... but if you have a recent SP it is equivalent to a BW 2.1C. SO KERNEL version is the same!
Just carry out some checks Create an InfoCube DataSource and see with RSA6 in BW2.0 if it exists as DataSource ...
Then try to extract data in BW2.0 with RSA3. It this works you need only to create a connection to BW 3.5 and to replicate BW2.0 DS ...
Hope it helps and let me know about!

  • Input language keeps defaulting to U.S. since updating to Maverick.

Input language keeps defaulting to U.S. I have my input language set to German and Russian but it keeps defaulting to U.S and i have to reset it every time through keyboard preferences. This has only started since I updated to Mavericks. It's not consistant for e.g. sometimes it happens on start up and sometimes whenever. It can go long periods without resetting and then, as lately - every start up!. Very very annoying. Have read on many forums similar problems but unfortunately nothing to cure this. I'm guessing it's a Mavericks thing (OS X 10.9.1) Any idea how to solve this?

  • Feature Request: Changing the CS6 language to default English if owning a localized version.

So I own a de_DE localized version of CS6 Master, but I'd love to use it in English. I understand, that being able to change languages is a licensing concern and that it would be a little more complex to implent a "Change language" function to CS6.
But what I though about is: every application within the creative suite is based on an English version, just translated to another localization.
So why not being able to switch between localized language and default English? No matter which language I bought...
So you wouldn't have to implenent an in example "German to French" licensing/translation function, but only being able to disable the localizations through the whole suite. How about that?
    Thanks and Cheers!

    Hello tst,
    I
am not using a Hebrew OS, but I am using an OS that has French
support.  I actually tried this test on 8.6 and 8.5.1 and I was not
    able to reproduce this issue.
To describe what I am doing in further detail:
    When
you are in "French mode" indicated by an "FR  in the Windows XP toolbar
below, you can predict what characters will appear when you press on
different keys. In other words, when I have FR on my toolbar and press
"w" on my French keyboard I get a "Char" value ASCII 119.
    I
then press Alt+Shift to switch the keyboard to english which is then
"confirmed" by an EN in the Windows XP toolbar.
    Pressing
the same W key of my French Keyboard will then give me a "Char" value
ASCII 122. Therefore I am not seeing this behavior because I am getting
the expected value from that key based on the OS' language setting.
What you are describing seems to be
more of  Windows issue rather than a LabVIEW related issue, and I
highly doubt that it should only occur with Hebrew and not with other
    languages.  One
thing to note is that if you switch between different applications on a
Windows XP PC with many regional settings configured, the keyboard
setting seems to follow the application for the most part. Perhaps a
specific version of a Windows update has fixed a behavior where the
keyboard gets switched at some point within the same application (in
    this case different LabVIEW windows).

  • How can I display special characters of NonEuropean languages (French, Italian, Spanish, German and Portuguese.) using import string mechanism

I would like to translate the User Interface of my application to French, Italian, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
When I put special characters in the import string file they showed up as ? (question mark)
The import strings file includes the following parameters for each string: font, text, size and style. (but no field for script)
In order to use a unicode font such as Arial I need to select a french script. But this option is not supported bu LabView (As far as I saw)
    A) Is there a font which is directly German/ French etc and not regula font + script parameter?
    B) Are there another required step
s for special characters support? (When I put speciual characters in the import string file the showed up as ? question mark)

This was discussed last week in this group- read the previous messages.

  • A resource in this file uses an unknown language (for default MFC project)

Visual Studio 2013. I created a default MCF project and tried to open rc-file via Resource View. No custom changes were made.
I got an error: "A resource in this file uses an unknown language: Neutral (Default) (unknown sub-lang: 0x3). Unable to open this file." I used AFX_TARG_ENU:  language 9 (english), sublanguage 1. There is no language value
in my project defined as 0x3 in winnt.h.

    Hi JGANOL,
Based on your issue, could you please tell me if you get same error when you re-create a new Resource Script File in the MFC project?
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hcctd63y.aspx
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/sxdy04be.aspx
    (1) If you get same error message, I suggest you try to reset the VS setting file by going to the Tools->Import and Export Settings... check this issue again.
If it still could not help you, maybe you will need to repair or re-install the VS2013 check this issue again.
(2)If you did not get same error message, I think that the issue may be related to the specified the MFC project. So I suggest you can tell me the detail steps about how you create a MFC project.

I have a Photopshop Elements 10.0 on my Mac, I purchased it in English, did an upgrade of my Mac to OS Yosemite and suddenly the language of  Photoshop is German. How can I fix this ?

I have found another solution.  I upgraded to Yosemite and found the the App Store version of PSE 10 (which didn't change) was suddenly in German.  Close PSE if it is open.  Use the Finder and go to the PSE 10 application in the Applications folder.  Right click (or ctl-click) on it and select "Show Package Contents".  Then go to Contents>Locales and delete the de_DE folder.  (I imagine you could also rename it to something starting with a letter after "e".  I think PSE is probably using the first language it comes to in this Locale folder.)  Start PSE.  It worked for me.  Hope this helped.

  • Incorrect Default Gateway for Clients using a Concentrator

    Hey all,
Hopfully an easy one - I'm trying to configure a VPN Concentrator for use with the old VPN Client for an IPSec CVPN.
The clients connect fine, but they are getting the incorrect default gateway during the address assignment.
My address pool is 192.168.0.128/25.  The client correctly picks up the first address in the range, 192.168.0.129, but the default gateway for the VPN adapter is assigned as the next address in the range, 192.168.0.130.
I need the gateway address to be 192.168.0.254 (the SVI of the L3 switch connected to the Concentrator), but I can't for the life of me fine a configuration option anywhere in the pool assignment.  I've set the tunnel default gateway to this 192.168.0.254, but this makes no difference.
Any ideas where I can find this config option?
    Thanks!

    Andrew
In the chart that you posted about the routing setup it refers to a DMZ network and DMZ gateway. Can you clarify what these are since I do not see them in the drawing that is in that post?
I agree with Herbert that it is cleaner to have the address pool on the concentrator use addresses that do not overlap with the concentrator subnet connecting to the layer 3 switch. And as long as the layer 3 switch has a route to that address pool, and the next hop in the route is the address of the concentrator interface then the separate pool addressing should work just fine.
I have re-read this thread and want to make sure that after some changes that you have made that the problem symptoms are still the same. You told us earlier that: "Now the client can ping the interfaces on its local LAN (concentrator  interface 192.168.0.253, and the L3 switch, 192.168.0.253), but it  cannot reach the rest of our internal LAN behind the layer 3 switch." Is this still an accurate statement of the problem?
As Herbert said earlier this could either be caused by the concentrator not have a correct route for the inside or it could be  because the inside does not have a correct route to the client. In re-reading your description of the routing set up it looks like the concentrator has a default route configured but not the tunnel default route. May I suggest that you try configuring a tunnel default route (in addition to the normal default route) and see whether that makes any difference?
If that does not help the problem then I would suggest that you verify that the devices on the inside do have their default gateway set correctly and that the layer 3 switch does have a route for the VPN address pool with the concentrator interface address as the next hop.
    HTH
    Rick
[edit] I just focused on the question that you asked about the concentrator possibly needing a route for the address pool. The concentrator does not need any route statements for the address pool - it knows its own address pool, pretty much like having a connected interface subnet. The layer 3 switch is what needs a route for the address pool.

  • Decline message in some foreign languages default to german

Groupwise 2014 Clients set to Swedish or Danish have a feature where an appointment being declined by a recipient results in the decline message coming back in german and not in the language the client is using.
Please note that other messages all seem to be in the correct language. Below is a decline message received to a Groupwise Client using Swedish as only language.
"XXX hat folgende Nachricht abgelehnt: test; (5. Dez 2014 12:30) CET"
Further testing has shown that if the decline message comes in shortly after startup of the Groupwise Client, it appears in swedish, but wait a few minutes and subsequent declines come in in german.
We proceeded to uninstall the Groupwise client and re-install this time including Swedish and English languages, and this time around the decline again was swedish right after Groupwise client startup and after a while it went to be english. So adding English as a client language fixed the "german" feature, which is better but still isn't quite right
Anybody has a fix for this - or have seen similar behaviour ?
Or are we heading straight for a SR ticket ?

  • Language Key Default for Account Assignment Search

    Hi,
We are on SRM 4.0, Extended Classic.  We are rolling out our implnetation from Uk to Italy, therefore have installed Italian Language Pack etc.
UoM/ Currency etc has been automatically translated .  Our English description for Product Categories will be copied straight over for Italian usage without manual translation.
However, when using the 'Find Account Assignment Data' search help.  Language Key 'IT' is defaulted and no entries are found from R3.
I want to know if this can either be defaulted to 'EN', even though the user has logged in with 'IT'.
'EN' would then bring back a complete list of Cost objects from R3.  I dont want to undertake a translation for each bk-end Cost Center/WBS etc to 'IT'.  Or does anyone know of another way to solve this issue?
    Thanks
