Hi everybody, i'm a little bit lost with go-openoffice. i'm using the version 3.1.0.6 ArchLinux build-1 and i tried to change the user interface language to spanish but looking for the files with pacman i have no results the same with the AUR, i found this in the AUR http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19460 and tried to compile it but it told me that go-oo-bin-base wasn't found...
Is there a way to change the language of go-openoffice?

How can I permanently change the language interface of Firefox 4 Beta to English?
Computer is running on Swedish Windows XP.
Found that the advice on similar questions is to install the language version of the desired language on top of the current version but I haven't found different language versions for 4 Beta, only 3.6.8.
Have also tried to change general.useragent.locale (about:config) to en-US but to no avial.

It should automatically ajust but you may not be able to use it if the country you're going to uses a different network service. The two main services are CDMA and GSM. iPhone 4S can connect to both, but iPhone 4's come in separate CDMA and GSM models. USA, China, Egypt and some other countries use CDMA so if you bought your iPhone from one of these countries, it will not work in most European countries or Australia because they use GSM

Fortran language interface to gpib

Hi
I am trying to get the fortran interface to gpib working using the compaq visual fortran compiler. I cant seem to get the linking to mfib.obj to work as the compiler spits out
fatal error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt
also the [far] data type is nolonger supported under the new compiler.
Can anybody please help with these two probs

COFF stands for Common Object File Format. This type of linker error occurs if you're not using the appropriate language interface files. If your not using any of the supported compilers, you need to interface directly with the dll.
The fortran language interface is no longer supported by the newer versions of the GPIN driver. What driver version are you using?, What OS?.

What is the best method for multiple language interface?

Hi,
I need to adapt my CVI application to multiple languages. But I have to be able to do this on the fly. The Localizer is great for all the panel objects and this works great. But I was wondering what the best method is for all the dialog box text? Right now I'm using const char defines for the text. For exampl:
const char *CONST_NO_STRING = "No";
Is there a simple method, or best practice method, to load different language dialog text at run time or on the fly?

Not sure if Andy's original concern was settled... but let's try and button this up:
- The UI Localizer does use a text file with manually-written translated strings for each supported language
- From the Localizer help: this will only aid in translating the panel labels.
Use this instrument driver to easily display user interfaces in different languages. When loading a panel or menu bar, you can specify a language file that contains translations for all the labels on the panel and all the menu items. You can create different language files for the user interfaces by translating them with the User Interface Localizer utility (localui.exe).
- If you have additional content to be translated (like the text inside a drop down box), manually loading from .lwl, or similar, files and programmatically setting those dialog box entries would be the solution. - Looks like CVI should handle multibyte languages just fine (see below), though I have never used them.

I think you would have to install it again selecting the correct language on the installation process.
Have you asked on a Microsoft support forum? maybe they can give you a more precise answer since Word, Excel and Powerpoint are Microsoft products.

Problem language interface

with no reason today i open indesign 5.5 and i found english interface instead italian.
I've read about regedit code to obtain a specific language and i've verified in regedit the binary value is set to italian language.
Why?
i've reinstalled indesign but i've the same problem.
i've deleted default dir C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version [version]\InDesign Defaults
i've pressed Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows)
in attached file you can see no workspace on default document opened...is normal??
but no result..i still have english language.

no but in user directory i see
i've uninstall it and then reinstall indesign.
on finished setup, the adobe windows tell me to close, and the indesgn icon is clickable. So i click on it and indesign start in italian with all complete interface!!! but if i close and reopen it from start button, now it start in english.
In appdata/local/adobe/indesign/7.5 dir i see 2 dir: en_US and it_IT. If i delete en_US dir, to force id to start in italian, it start anyway in english!!
Even in appdata/roaming/adobe/indesign/7.5 i see same directory!! which is the exact dir
Exe file in: "I:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS5.5\InDesign.exe"
i have not yet try the adobe clean tool ..maybe can be last solution ?!

Application Manager and the wanted language interface

I am a very oldtimer with Adobe and Photoshop. I was brought up in the States and Worked for US Corp's. Before CS6 I always installed an English Interface. Now, Adobe application Mgr is in French eventhough I requested and insisted in using the US connections from start! How can I get a US version running? The CS6 is in French and only offers one interface in the pulldown menus (preferences). My Lightroom is in English and I want everything in English.Thanks PdeRumine

Which operating system are you using? Also you can check the language selection in the Adobe Application Manager. If you click on your name and go to Preferences there will be an option to choose your language there.
This may not resolve your issue though which is why I need to know which operating system you are using before giving any additional instructions.

Ok, I admit, I'm not a professional java developer but....
STRUTS is a general web application development framework.
VELOCITY is a language for using templates to use java objects.
RUBY ON RAILS is also a language/framework for creating web applications.
None of them is specifically a database integration framework.
If you want an example for a application framework that works seamless with MaxDB and all other major databases - go for SAP NetWeaver
It has a lot to offer, a huge user/developer base, professional support, really is mission-critical-proof and you can download the developer version here in SDN as well.

Changing language interface in CS3

Previously in InDesign CS-J (Japanese) I had been able to change the CFBundleDevelopmentRegion in the info.plist file from Japanese to English, deleting the preferences and thereby get the interface of InDesign to change from Japanese to English.
I have now installed CS3-J and I find that this technique does not work. Is anyone experience with changing the interface in CS3 that would work the same as changing the CFBundleDevelopmentRegion as outlined above?

How do the English Language interface?

Select English as the language during installation (if you have the option). If not, you will need to perform a cross language swap. Refer to this page for more help.
