Language layout changing problem

Hello. I am using two different languages layouts(OS X 10.8.4 English and Russian) and "Allow different one for each document" option in Input Sources. But after several time option "Allow different one for each document" stops working and layout starts changing everywhere. Only reboot fixes this problem. What should I do to fix this problem?

Layout change problem

Hi,
In my ALV report output i want to save 2 layout.if i am changing the layout one to another the DATE field is changing the DATE format for example the date field is 29.03.2010 after changing the layout the date field is like 20...07.09 .The DATE field is in EDITABLE mode.Can you help me.

That you have to Write using the ALV . The layout which you are mentioning is not possible Directly.
You have to go for Custom development.
You need to use ALV simple one then only you can expect the same look and feel.
REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY Function will solve the requirement.

Keyboard layout driver problems

hi there
i have 3 problems with my keyboard!
1. the key to print an "^" does not work in every app, eg scite
2. in some apps , for example mozilla-firefox my direction keys
don work in text fields. left an right are (if possoble) scrolling the html site und up and down are simply do nothing....
3. my language layout DE does not want to load at start up (for console, not x11)
how can i change that?

I don't know anything about your first question but for the second IIRC the answer is already in the forums - search for mozilla-firefox and/or firefox.
And about your third question first check this http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KEYMAP%3D%3F wiki page and also check if you have kbd package installed.

What happens to iweb-built site when I upgrade from Leopard (10.5.8) to Snow Leopard (10.6.3), and subsequently upgrade to 10.6.8 or even 10.7? Will fonts stay the same? Will layout change? Or anything else change? Thanks

What happens to iweb-build site when I upgrade from Leopard (10.5.8) to Snow Leopard (10.6.3) and subsequently update that to 10.6.8 or even to 10.7? Evidently iweb has been discontinued. I have version 3.0.3 of iweb now but understand that there's been an update for OS 10.6 so same question goes for this update.
Will fonts change? Will layout change? Will widgets still work? Links? Will Google Analytics PlugIn still work?
(Since MobileMe is disappearing, I now save iweb site to local folder on my computer, then upload it to GoDaddy using Cyberduck. I run Google Analytics plug in on folder before its uploaded.)
My computer, MacBook Pro came with iweb, which has been updated to 3.0.3. Since iweb is discontinued, will upgrade of operating system just ignore iweb so that iweb will run the same as before? Or will it wipe it out? Or change how it currently works (questions above).

As you now know iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. ALV - Reflect layout change into internal table

I have an ALV :

This internal table itab has for example the fields: matnr, plant, stock, vendor
If for example the user changes the sequence of the columns in the ALV grid display into: stock, plant, vendor, matnr
Is there an easy way to get the layout change reflected in my internal table or is the only possibility to built dynamically a new internal table based on the front end field catalog?

Can't u use the std icone to create an excel file?
Anyway in this case you should use the method get_frontend_fieldcatalog in order to get the status of the catalog and so fill the table for the excel in the right way.
I believe the problem should be on how to create the table for the excel, i.e. you need to consider the sequence of the fields in ordert to create the table for the excel.

Complex key combinations get eaten by keyboard layout changer

I am using gnome 3 and have a layout switcher on ctrl-shift. However any key combination which involves ctrl-shift (for instance ctrl-shift-n in chrome) causes a layout change (ctrl-shift) and nothing happens when I press N. I also can not select any text in words since it involves ctrl-shift + arrows while selecting by ctrl-arrows works fine.

I am getting desperate. Is it only me having this problem and no solution?

How to keep layout changes in other pages

I am just starting with iWeb and came across a question. When I choose a theme for a website and make the 'welcome' page, but change some layout things, colours, positioning of textboxes, is it than possible to copy those changes in the other pages like 'about' and so? Or do I have to copy the first page over and over? In the least case I will have a problem with the albums and slide show I guess?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iWeb doesn't have the capability of carrying over layout changes from the first page to additional pages. If you plan on using the same theme frequently create a second site, add each page type that you might use, make the layout changes to each one and save. Then if you need a photo page in your working site duplicate the photo page in the "layout" site and drag it up to the working site.

If I copy/duplicate a page my css-layout changes

If I copy/duplicate a page my css-layout changes, even though the pages are identical and use the same (external) css-file.
This is what happens:
I have a 2-column fixed css container. The sidebar and mainContent align perfectly on the original page, but on the duplicate page the mainContent suddenly moves to the right (it somehow adds the width of the sidebar to the margin of the mainContent).
Does anyone know what to do about this?

Hang on. I just checked, and it only happens in the design-view inside dreamweaver. When I preview the pages in my browsers (Safari and Opera, still need to check in IE) the problem doesn't occur. So it isn't as big of a problem as I thought it was. Still very annoying though, so if anyone knows how I can fix the problem in the design/split-view, thanks...

What command can be run from the cmd to inquire about the language layout that is used right now?

I have windows 7 32bit platform. Is there any command that can be run from the command line just to inquire about the language bar that is currently in use? Suppose I have English keyboard on my machine but I am switching between 3 languages when I write
my documents (e.g. English, German, Spanish). I want to know if there is any way to tell what language layout that is in current use as seen in the language bar. This question is not about how to change language layout from the command line -- just to know
what layout. For example, the command can return some sort of string to indicate which layout is currently in use: "english", "german", "spanish", and so on.
My ultimate goal from this question is to pass this output into an external editor that will hopefully change font based on the input language? Any help to achieve this goal will be much appreciated.
Or put differently, what is the best way to tell an external editor like Emacs about the current language layout that is in current use?

For the current input language you can try using
reg query "HKCU\Keyboard Layout\Preload" /v 1
The return value includes an eight digit hex value. The first four digits indicate either default layout for the language (all zeros) or a variation (non-zero). The last four digits are the locale id - see:

From this table, you can see in the example above my input language is English - Australia.
For the keyboard layout you could try

0409 is an English - US keyboard.

Editing the Text May Cause Layout Changes Message

I have tons of files created in old illustrator 6.0 and now that I have CS2 loaded on Mac OS X.5.8 I'd like to open and edit some of these documents.
It says, "This file contains text that was created in a previous version of Illustrator. This legacy text must be updated before you can edit it." It asks you to either Choose Update or OK to update later.
So I chose Update for one of the files, save without compression. Then I open it and it looks OK. I thought that this UPDATING would allow me to work with the document freely. However, when I attempt to change some type I get a warning saying that "Editing the text may cause layout changes.• Choose Copy Text Object to update the text and preserve the original layout as a separate object. • Choose Update to update the text without creating a separate reference object." Why am I getting this warning? Do I really have to click on every bit of type I wish to edit and deal with this message each time? If I choose "update" the type disappears entirely and if I choose "copy text object" it grays out and I can't select it. Either way I have no way of editing my document.
Please advise and keep answers as simple as possible.

Wow. What a nightmare. We're not talking just retyping, it's really re-typesetting etc.
Tell me, if I were to copy and paste the old document into a new one or something like that, would that bypass this problem?
Also, someone in another thread which I started (link to it below) mentioned that I could "batch update the files as CMYK and with the legacy type updated as well." I know that it's separate issue, but I was wondering if I were to do this, might it help with this Text Editing issue?

Javascript event for Dynamic Layout change

I'm using javascript to create a customization for a client and I ran into the following problem:
- My code runs by replacing the window.load event, it always run when a page is loaded but it doesn't run when the dynamic layout changes.
Does anyone know which event I can customize so that it runs always??
The dynamic layout change is driven by the following internal code, but I can't make my code run after it:

Language suddenly changed!

Hi,
I have a Mac (OS X 10.8.3) and recently bought Photoshop Elements Editor (Current version 10.0). Installed language version was initially English, and I have used the software without problems. Then all of the sudden, the language had changed to German when I opened it up earlier this week. And I have not changed anything in preferences.
I tried to delete and reinstall from App Store (where I originally bought it), but the language version is still German. Could someone please help me?

Google language gets changed

Hello
I am having lots of problems with mozilla lately.
First: it frozens pretty often.
Second: the language gets changed into Euskera(Vasque Country language) every time I start up a new firefox window with google as the default website and I do not want that, just want English.
Is there any work around for this issues?

Clear the Google cookies: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If the Google (Firefox) or Yahoo home page is in the wrong language then see:
