Language on sap

HI,
I need to import the language DK into a new installation CRM system with SQL database on Windows.
I have download  packages languages cd from sap on Market place.
When I try to download language pakages from
CRMNT10\sapmnt\trans\EPS\in I get this massages No package found in this path
I did tried to download packages languagest from front end. But I get massages there is no CAR or SAR file find.
Any Idea,
Thanks for help

Hi,
The CD which you might have downloaded will contain folders for each langauge. SAR file will be available in those folders.
Say for eg: You want to install French Language for which code is FR. SAR file for the same will be available in folder FR.
Hope this helps.

Deepak Kori

  • Storing & Printing Data in Regional Language in SAP

I am facing a requirement to Print data stored in English in both English and Regional Language. Does anyone know how this can be achieved? I have heard of some Transliteration software which can convert data in Regional language but do not have any idea as to how it works. Can anyone please provide me some information about this?
Another requirement is to store the data in Regional language in SAP database. I hope with Unicode this can be achieved. Can anyone please confirm about Unicode and provide some information about data storage in Regional Language?
Edited by: ashutosh deshpande on Jun 4, 2008 5:34 PM

My understanding is Unicode is required to have the ability to store Chinese characters in the system.  You still need basis to load any other languages to the system.  Here in the U.S. CRM came in DE & EN, we also loaded ES for Mexico facility.
The will convert all the SAP data.   But for our material descriptions we had to manually (created a LSMW) to load Spanish descriptions in the material master.
Adding some confguration with text descriptions like reason codes is still a pain to do in both EN & ES when you want the description to be language specific.

Can anyone tell me, where I can find the standard languages of SAP LSO? I've read somewhere that SAP would generally support around 41 languages. Does anyone have a more concrete information in respect to this topic?

  • Changing languages in SAP

    Hi,
I have an implementation of SAP B1 UK edition which is being used in our Thai Subsidiary.  They need to input some business partners in Thai language.
In Systems Administration => Company details I have enabled multi language support however when I select a BP I cannot change the language to Thai (it is not a default) and I do not know how to define it as a new language.
Is there any way to do this?
    Thanks
    Dan

    hi dan,
In Main Menu choose Business Partners --> Business Partner Master Data --> General Tab
    Language
Choose the language of the business partner.
The language defined for the company is displayed by default (General Settings --> Display tab).
If you want to print documents in the local language of a business partner located abroad, select the required language from the list.
Before you print documents for foreign business partners, ensure that the foreign language fields have been translated.
This field is displayed only if Multi-Language Support is selected on the Basic Initialization tab in Company Details.

  • Unable to change language for SAP BW Report Iview

    Dear all
We are currently rolling out BW Web Templates can be displayed in both EN and MS languages. The language can be changed via the URL that we display, e.g.
    For English Language:
    http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&cmd=ldoc&template_id=ZTEST
    For Malay Language :
    http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=7&cmd=ldoc&template_id=ZTEST
We have published these templates into Ent. Portal 6 using SAP BW Report Iview, but unfortunately we cannot view the report in the Malay language (SAP-LANGUAGE=7), even though we have inserted the command SAP-LANGUAGE=7 in the SAP BW Report Iview query string. All the reports, although defaulted to SAP-LANGUAGE=7 displays in English. We also tried to set the language settings for the Iview, but there are no language 7 or MS in the Iview. It can only be defaulted to the Portal’s language, which is English.
Note that the reports can be viewed in the different languages if we using the URL separately outside of Portal, and also within BW Bex Analyzer itself. Only the Portal doesn’t allow us to view the reports in MS language.
Can someone help us on this matter? All helps really appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Hi Chris,
That's a bit odd indeed. If I understand your question correctly, you do get the BW reports in the correct language (either English or Malay) using the url's in your post but not when using them within a standard BW report iView?
The language setting for the iView has, unfortunately, nothing to do with the language for the content itself but can you tell me what the requested URL is for both Reports?
The BW Report iView is based on the Application Integration Component that generates the URL based on the paramaters you provide in the BW report iView. The following template is being used: <iView[PORTAl_URL]>?System=<System[url_Encode]>&Report=<Report>&DynamicParameter=<DynamicParameter[url_Encode]>. I could be that the generation of the URL fails due to the 7 (don't know why, just a gut feeling because it's the only thing that's different between those urls). You could try to use create an iView based on the Application Integrator instead (some more control over the URL template) but first you need to check whether the URL generated by the iView is correct.
    Cheers!
    Frodo

  • Localization of Languages in SAP Portal 7.3

    Hello Folks,
We have implemented SAP Portal 7.3 and want to include local Indian Languages (Hindi, Marathi etc) for the users. We referred the SAP Help Portal for customizing languages applicable for older portal versions
    Link: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/49/e607426338da6fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm]
From the link above, we searched for an .EAR (com.sap.security.core.admin.730.ear) and .WAR (com.sap.security.core.useradmin.war) files respectively for any of the standard properties file supplied with standard implementation. But, we did not get such files.
Kindly suggest/guide us to any documentation/help available to find the required files in the SAP Portal 7.3 version. Or is there a change in language customization from Portal 7.3?
    Regards,
    Rahul Juneja

    Dear Rahul,
Hindi language is not yet available in portal. You can check the below
link to see which are the Languages supported.
    https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/languages
You have to create your own Language Bundles to implement hindi,
But as of now hindi is not supported.
Can you please go through the Sap Note 1013521.

  • Indian Bengali Language in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to use Bengali Language for log in into SAP system and also display report output and smartform output having both English and Bengali text.
I have followed SAP Notes 42305, 742662 and 812821for importing Bengali language, changing SmartForm editor to MS-Word and extend standard font HELVE_17 with Bengali font for output in different languages respectively.
But neither I am able to login using Bengali language into server after restart nor printout is coming in both languages; instead at the time of login a message is coming Bengali(Code 6B) is not an installed language and in printout Bengali text is replaced by '#' though English text is coming properly.
    The system is ECC 6.0.
Probably I am missing some steps of configuration.
Please help with some detail step-by-step documentation of configuring I18N, SMLT, Cascading Font.
    Thanks in advance,
    Avijit

    1. Bengali is not a delivered language, it's not availalbe as logon language. You have to translate all the output manually.
    2. Is your system a Unicode system?

guide me for the same where i have to get chinese language, how to install in sap.

    Hello,
There must be already some value in zcsa/installed_languages in your instance profile.
Now in SMLT check the language information for checking the relevant value for chinese language and add this value to the parameter : zcsa/installed_languages
