Language Selection Option - Pages 5.
Hello!
I am not to convinced about the Language Selection Options on new Pages 5. I do translations and work with different laguages simultaneously. With Pages '09 I had no problem with language.
Pages 5 does not automatically detects language, how can I enable the auto language detection on Pages 5?

thank you for your prompt response. Actually I never removed Pages 4... it's in use 95% of the time. I wanted to know if Apple had done something about that laguange-spelling issue.

But when I hev created the sets, I have given the description of G/L Accounts in English. But when I will run the Report using Cinese as Logon language, how output will come in Chinese.
1) Is there a need to maintain /L Accounts in Chinese language.
2) or Shall i create the sets by giving description for G/L Accounts in Chinese If Yes then how to hadndle at run time..
please guide I am new to Report writer.

CentOS installation keyboard locks when it shows language selection option
I am trying to install CentOS 4.2 to test oracle RAC with low cost systems. I have Dell inspiron 530 desktop with Intel Pentium dual core E2180 2.0Ghz processor, 2GB memory and 320GB serial ATA disk drive. It has windows vista home preminum edition installed. I am following the note "Build Your Own Oracle RAC 10g Release 2 Cluster on Linux and FireWire" http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/hunter_rac10gr2.html
When I start the CentOS 4.2 install it would show me the welcome screen, then 2 more command windows with lot of verification details, then it shows loading SCSI driver and then when it comes to Choose a language the keyboard gets disabled/locked. The keyboard does not work I had to power off the system to come out. The mouse also does not work.
I have tried burning additional CDs for the CentOS software, I have tried CentOS 4.6, I have tried Enterprise Linux 4.7 from oracle site but all come up to the choose language selection and the keyboard does not work. I have USB keyboard and mouse. I have a KVM switch but I have tried without KVM switch, directly connecting the keyboard to the system, but no luck.
When I tried selecting F2 during CentOS install firrst screen and entered linux noprobe (for disable hardware probing), it passed past the choose language option and allowed me to select keyboard type as US, Then installation method - as what type of media contains the packages to installed - local CDROM, hard drive, NFS image, FTP, HTTP. I have selected Local CDROM, then it showed driver not found and showed a list of drivers as select device driver to load. I am not sure what driver to select. How do I find out what driver to select? Since I am new to Linux install I am not sure if this works or I would be lost encountering more questions.
I have seen one note in internet that linux has some isssues with USB keyboard and mouse and it can be fixed by using PS/2 keyboard and mouse. I need to use a USB ps/2 converter for that. Did any one try this?
Any help on recommended fix is Appreciated. Is selecting linux noprobe during the install a good option? Is there any note or document available to install with linux noprobe? What is Linux noprobe? Can I select it for install without isssues? When it is showing the list of device drivers are they for the keyboard or some other device? (an example of the drivers shown are 2Ware 9000 series storage controller, Adaptec AHA-1522, VIA SATA Controller (Sata-via), Qlogic 1280 etc.)

very first question. You may need to wait until you are asked for "extra arguments"; I can't remember what the exact prompt is.
If this gets you through the install, you may need to add a similar clause to the kernel lines in "/boot/grub/grub.conf" on you installed system.

Lost language selection option
Hi,
I accidentally upgraded our GroupWise system using the gw8.0.2-92377_full_linux_en package rather than the gw8.0.2-92377_full_linux_multi package.
Now the language selection dropdown box is not there anymore on the WebAccess login screen.
I tried to install the right update package with no success. Can anyone tell me how to get the language selection back?

Hi Mike,
When reinstalling, did you first manually remove the WebAccess application (rpm -e novell-groupwise-webaccess) package before reinstalling the multilingual one? Could be a difference there.

Language selection pops up after every boot.
After every reboot, I first get the language selection option. Not a big problem, but I prefer not to have to select the language every time.
Anyone any ideas how to switch this off?

Go to Solution.Sometimes the chip itself can differ in size and contact surface.
I remember this from way back, and if changing the SIM won't do the trick I suggest that you try reinstalling the phone software. That should definitely fix this.

Does anyone know how you can switch between languages when creating DVDs? I am wanting to offer a language selection option on a DVD and want the DVD to enter a menu with the selected language. I know that you can do it by duplicating the menus and having one version in one language and the other in the second language, but wanted to know if you can do something similar by using the language function that the manual suggests (which automatically selects the language according to the default language of the player). Any thoughts?

I had read through all the threads and articles Drew linked to, but I was still confused.
I was stuck on thinking that having the same menu in different language versions would be the way to go (chapter 10 in the manual, heading "Using Languages With Menus", kind of suggests this), instead of having multiple menu trees but each one in a separate language. I think it was referred to here

SPRM0 wasn't even that important to me, I knew I couldn't rely on people having set the language in their player. I was going to have the user choose his subtitle language on a first setup menu (there is only one audio stream, english, in my project) and then set that [subtitle language] parameter once and for all with a script, using the Set System Stream command. That seemed to be working in the Simulator. I was hoping I could get by with just one menu tree (main, select track, more) and somehow be able to "set" a menu language parameter as well, and sort of stay in that language layer. But apparently it doesn't work that way. Do you understand what I'm saying?
What is the idea behind having layered menus, if you can't really target them? Or can you? At least they never show up as separate language versions in my jump drop down menus.

My macbook Pro is stuck on a grey screen with language select and every time i click english it brings me back to the same gray page with language select what do i do? Also i dont have enough monet to go to the apple store to get it fix and another thing this happen after i tried to factory reset it without the disck uising coomans i found on youtube.Lastly befor doing the comands my macbook would open any applications and the finder would just blink on and off on the dock.

If the Mac starts up normally, shut it down again and then plug in one of the peripherals (keyboard or mouse first) and start up your computer again. If it does so successfully repeat the process, adding one peripheral at a time until your Mac acts up. At that point, disconnect the last peripheral you added, reboot your Mac and search the peripheral vendor's website for an updated driver.
If no driver exists or the problem remain after installing the new driver, try a different cable or a different port on your Mac.
If none of the above works, again disconnect all peripherals from your Mac, hold down the "shift" key to start up in "Safe Boot" mode.
If the Mac starts up correctly, restart without pressing the "shift" key.
If your computer still does not start up properly, shut it down and restart it while holding down the Apple+Option-P-R keys; keep holding "all 4 keys" down until you hear the startup sound "twice."
If none of the above work Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
(If Disk Utility cannot repair, you will need a stronger utility (3rd party) - Diskwarrior or Techtool PRO)
Restart your computer when done.

Remove any 3rd party ram.
Reinstall Leopard - This will install a "fresh" copy Leopard without archiving old system files but leaves the rest of your files in place.
If you still want to restore your computer to factory level...
Start up from your install disc, go to Disk Utility and select the disk and click erase - to securely erase data click Security Options and Erase Free Space which will entirely wipe your disk, overwriting it with zeros so that no data is recoverable.

I have been using this for school work as much as possible and have come across a problem. With my lack of knowledge for apple it seems as though I can't navigate myself to a easy answer. The problem hits when I am printing pages off of a large document, and I don't want to print the entire document in color but I have no way "that I can find" for a black and white print option...
----- also a larger issue, when printing I need to select 1 page or even 20 pages... The time it takes to use a scroll wheel and the fact if you try and scroll fast sometimes you click off the screen then you have to start scrolling all over again... It seems like you would beagle to input from say page 1224 to 1236.... Instead I have a scroll a wheel? Just doesn't make sense...?
Can someone please help solve this for me!Yes, that fixed it, thanks! I had no idea they clashed like that. I ruthlessly purged all other tables of contents, and then used Layout > Table of Contents to create a new one, and it worked.
It made more sense after seeing in this thread that table of contents styles are more like presets or entities than styles. -
Printing web page with select tags in IE9 and a .cfm file-only the original selected option prints
My web page has a select tag and cfselect tags and when I print the page with a different option other than the originally selected option the print for both types of select tags reverts back to the original selection and ignores the new selection. This happens in IE9 and .cfm files but not when the page is printed in IE8 or IE7 modes (tried in the F12 Developer Tools.) It also needs to be a .cfm file. FireFox printed the pages correctly for any combination.
This was done on a Dell and ThinkCentre computers under Windows 7. Also, I was able to reproduce the same problem on an different university web site where a selection box would revert back to the original selection for printing on a .cfm page and would print properly on a .PHP page at the same site.
For my site, I used a print button which calls print() and right clicked and chose print and got the same results no matter which method was used. I only had the right click method on the third party web site.
I know this is probably a bit narrow an issue but, any help would be appreciated.It appears that it is probably an IE9 bug.
I simplified the problem by turning the page source taken from the brouser of the original .cfm into an html file and found that it would still print improperly.
When I eliminated the various parts of the file I found that it would print correctly only when I removed the first line, the "DOC type" line.
The page will print the newly selected option but then I lose the style sheet.
If it does not work in an HTML file it must be IE. It is not the .cfm. The reason that it did not work for .cfm files, is that they always have a "DOC type" statement.
I have put the issue into an MSDN forum in addition to the one mentioned previously. -

Select option in select list and navigate to different page
Hello,
I have a tabular form.One of the item is a select list with 2 options. Selecting option one should take the user to page10(just an example) and display all the values of that particular row. Similarly selecting option 2 should take the user to page 20 and display all the values of that row.
Can some one guide me how to do above mentioned job.

I created a BSP Application using Page with Flow Logic.
In the first page of my Application I'm using 2 input fields as select-options.
Now I'm populating a Ranges of that Field using the type :-

But the problem is I checked the corresponding DATABASE Table entries by passing thesame value .
i.e I passed the low and high values to the field as '*' and 'Z'.
The total number of entries differ when passing '*' and 'Z' to when passing SPACE.
I tried even with contains Pattern .This time the total number of records fetching has Increased but the sum is not exact when passed SPACE to the Database Table.
So what should I pass to the Low and High values of my Ranges Table to get all the entries ????
DOes this type of building the Ranges work in BSP's ?
How are u people working out for the select-options functionality in Page with flow logic ?

Have new update but when i am on trying to sync I have no scroll down bar to select option on the bottom of pages so sync is not done with all i want on it. Using my arrow keys also dont work. I have deleted itunes and reinstall but its still the same. Any ideas?
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Restoring "selection and page #s" as print options
Greetings from a brand new member. I have 3 Canon printers: MG5320, iX6520 and Pro 9000 mk2. I have lost the ability to choose "selection or page #s" instead of "all" when printing as they are not highlighted. (they are grayed out) Any suggestions on how to reactivate them? Thanks. Richard

i got the low and high from selectoption and then move it into itab.
then i pass itab-matnr into fm. using loop.
but i got only one output
