How do you set the Language on the ipod 160 my ipod was
preset when I took it out of the box I need it set to US English
I order it from apple.com

Sounds like your Apps Store is set to the wrong country for the AppleID you are using on your iPad. You need to go to the Apps Store on your Computer, and then scroll down to the very bottom of the screen. There you will see a little flag button. Click on it, and select the flag for the correct country. That should fix your issue.

Chinese Traditional Language Pack for iPod Nano?

With my 500+ chinese songs on my iPod, it is near impossible to find a song without sorting methods. Is there a chinese traditional language pack that I can install on my iPod which provides sorting?

Greek language support for ipod touch?

why the greek language is not included in the supported languages for ipod touch?
why there is no greek keyboard nor a speller?
is it so hard to do it?

as fur as i know apple has also a market for ipod in greece as well as other products...
but no greek language support in the ipod... why?

yes this is also true,
as fur as it goes for displaying text in greek the results are pretty good.
but when it come to writing...this is a totally different scenario...
unfortunately you have many other options apart from writing greek of curse.
to conclude and this is something that keeps bugling me,
maybe I am wrong,
but i think that the OS the ipod touch runs is based OSX 10.4 (tiger),
if not mostly the same OS.
if the above assumption is correct in some whey..and by having in mind that the support for many languages is already realized for the above OS
is interesting to notice that the support of this already realized languages is limited in the platform of ipod touch ( concerning writing and spelling).

Go the nearest Nokia Care Center.. only they can upgrade/ change the language set

Best sync setting for iPod

What is the best sync settings for iPod? I have it on manual now, if I select any other sync option, it asks if it's ok to delete everything on my iPod, then copy everything from my iTunes account on the computer. So if this happens every time, to copy one new album takes forever. Also, I noticed in the new iTunes, a playlist doesn't appear to copy over, just the songs, so then I have to go through all the procedures to make a new playlist on my iPod. Am I missing something?

There is no "best way".
Personally, I create a few playlists and select to sync only those playlists (as opposed to the entire library, which won't fit anyway).
Then I simply add/delete from these playlists and sync to change what is on my iDevice.
I find it is much easier to manage with playlists because you don't have to scroll through a big list on the iPod to see what's on it.
Can create smart playlists to show what is NOT on the iPod.

Multi-language support for iPod Touch keyboard

"There might be an app for that" sounds good, but trying to find anything on the Apple site is a nightmare. I'm simply looking for a multi-language touch keyboard application for my iPod Touch.
I type quite a bit in German and need to easily switch between English (Qwerty) and German keyboards.
Does anyone know of an App for this? If so, could you please post the URL?

Language Setting for - Hyperion Smart View for Office

Hi,
Here's a scenario I need to find an answer to.
1. We have Essbase system 9 installed on a machine named: USESSSRVR and here the ESSLANG environment variable is set to "English_UnitedStates.US-ASCII@Binary".
2. We build two Unicode cubes, one for Korea Sales called APPKR.SALESCUB & other for Turkey Sales called APPTR.SALESCUB
3. Korean users are sitting in Korea & Turkey users are in Turkey & both these users need to see data in their local languages.
4. Since Essbase Excel Add-In is not compatible with Unicode cubes, we have asked them to use "Hyperion Smart View for Office".
Now question is,
-> Where in this entire system do I need to do Language Settings so that they see their characters correctly?
-> Is there a place in Smart View where you can set languages?
-> Also we have a limitation that we need to have both the applications APPKR & APPTR on the same Essbase server which is in US.

It's actually because you are installing over an old version. Uninstall SV, review the registry entries and directories and then reinstall with admin priv.
Of course when I looked it up on support the Oracle ID 1466433.1 suggests that the .net install is corrupt so was i going mad? Not beyond reasonable doubt since I put in an SR a while back about it so I have proof that it is listed as an " "internal bug #14149839 : "SMART VIEW EXTENSION ACTIVATOR OBJECT (-2147467262) This is reported for excel 2010" has been raised with development team. As per the update from the bug this issue has been addressed in patch 11.1.2.2.310 which is yet to be released."
So if you are on an earlier version of Office possibly is because of the .net install (which I think needs v3.5, at least for Office2003), but I would try do a clean install first.

Persian (farsi) language support for Ipod nano 5G.

I could find the Arabic language support but no Persian (Farsi) support. I am wondering why Apple still does not support this language.
Also I wanted to know if there is any way that we could translate the English to Persian and add into our Ipod nano ourselves.

Language setting for windows live account security - keep receiving chinese communication when my account is in English

I keep receiving important security emails from [email protected] in Chinese language when my language selection is in English.
Can someone help to advise me what setting do I need to change to correct this? Thanks

1. Go to https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage
2. Scroll down and set your language to EN-US > Save
3. Under "Security info helps keep your account secure," remove your current email address and re-add it.
(You may have to use a temp email account if you only have one email address for receiving security related emails from Microsoft.)

Try using the BADi "BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF" and acc set the parameters for the smartform icluding the Language.

I just bought an 80GB iPod and accidentally press the wrong language selection on the screen of the ipod and now it only displays japanese or something! I mean I can't even tell what it is, can you please help me? I am getting frustrated!

Language setting for multilingual software

When I try to install the BB Desktop software it keeps on installing it in Arabic, with no button anywhere to switch to English. I am living in the Middle East, but have tried changing my regional settings to some other locations, without luck. Which settings should I change to get the software to install in English?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it did not work. I cannot get the software uninstalled, because everything on the screen is in &^%$ Arabic. And if I just try to install the software again in any case, without un-installing the previous version, it keeps on installing it in Arabic, without any place where I can select the language.
