Language specific replication of material group description not working SRM

Hi All,
We have backend R/3 MM system from which we replicate our materials,material groups. For Italian language the replication of the material groups description is not working. Though the description is available in backend R/3 system when i run the DNL_CUST_PROD1object in R3AS tcode, there is no replication log in SMQ2 but still the Italian language is not replicated into SRM.
There are no logs in SMW01 tcode also.
Please suggest.

Hi,
As david explained,you need to set the filter for the LANGUAGE field in trascn R3AC3 before replicating the product categories.
In R3AC3 select DNL_CUST_PROD1. Go to table structures tab . Click on the filter next to T023T table. This will take you to the filter tab. Select source site name and filter options. In the field put "SPRAS", in op put "EQ" and in low value the value 'IT"(for italian) . You can also describe a range here instead of individual material group numbers.

DFS Replication for one group only not working

I have 2 DFS Replication groups and each group contains the same 2 member servers.
One group is set to replicate one drive pair between these members, and the other group is set to replicate another drive pair between the same member servers.
Replication works perfectly for one group / folder, but it does not even start on the other group.
This proves that there is no problem with the connectivity between the members, or to the AD.
The DFS Replication Health Report for the group that does not replicate shows no error, just 2 Warnings:
WARNINGS (2 servers with warnings)(Show All)
BOG-RODC (1 warning)
Reference member returned no replicated folders.
MTL-HV-FS01 (1 warning)
This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder BOG-RODC_D_Drive.
This is very weird, I don't see why it does not replicate, I'm pooling my hair out. Please help

follow up on the above issue: Yes I did delete the group, and DFSRPrivate folder and recreated the group again, but this did not help.
Problem has been fixed by Microsoft, I had to open a case with them. Apparently the Jet database that's hidden in the "System Volume Information" was corrupted, so not only he deleted the group, but did the following, changed permissions/ownership
to access the System Volume Information, then:

Then as usually recreated the replication group. I haven't seen this information anywhere on the web or in the Microsoft site.

Get material group description

I use V023 to get the material description, in se11, i can check those data dictionary, but i can't join V023 in ABAP, it shown the error message ""V023" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table, projection view, or database view.". How can i retrieve the material group description. Thanks!

MATKL

Looking UserExit or BADI for Material Group Description

I am looking for BADI or User Exit for Material Group Description.
My Scenariio is Whenever the user Enter in to MM01or MM02 in Basic Data 1 view Materail Group Field ,the user press F4 It is displaying material group number and corresponding Description.Those Description are in English because that materail group are created in English Longon Language,but the other language User Enter in to MM01 or MM02 Transaction in the basic data 1 view Press the F4 key for Materail Group it showing only material group number no description is displaying,but my requirement it should translate and show it to the corresponding longon language description when Press F4.Regarding this i maintaining other language description for the existing material group in a ZTable.
The table for Material Grop Description in all the language is T023T table.

If you wanna search for BADIs, you can follow this method:
go to SE80 transaction and select the class/interface CL_EXITHANDLER, then you have to select the Get_Instance method and put a break-point in the following call:

exit_name = <b>exit_name </b>

the value of exit_name will give you the name of the BADI that is been call from the transaction. Then you have to execute the transaction MM01 or MM02 and it will stop on each Badi's call.

R3AS Load Objects - Changing Material Group Descriptions

Hello,
We use SAP ECC6 and SRM 5.
We currently have some R/3 Material Groups descriptions that need changing in our ERP system.
I am concerned with doing this as it appears that the material groups are replicated in SRM in the COMM_HEIRARCHY, albeit that they are not actually used in SRM.
The issue I have, is when using R3AS to load the material groups, which load object should I use to just amend descriptions?
It states in our documentation:
DNL_CUST_BASIS3 - BASIS CRM Online. We use this for the initital load, i.e. a new build
DNL_CUST_PROD1 - Product: Categories. We used this one for new product categories
DNL_CUST_PROD0 - Material Number Coversions. I don't know what this is used for
MATERIAL is for R/3 Material Master. I don't know what this is for
Can someone please advise which load object would be relevant to use, and also clarify what DNL_CUST_PROD0 and MATERIAL is used for.

Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD0: linked to customizing ( IMG: SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Master Data > Products > Define Output Format and Storage Format of Product IDs
Business object MATERIAL: to replicate R/3 materials
According to your need, you have only to reload customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.

Material group GUID - related to SRM-CCM

This is related to CCM.
Can you please tell me, If the material group description is changed the Guid related to the same material group is changed or not?
If the GUID is changed with respect to change in material group. Then where can i get the relation of guid to material group

where we have GUID_HI and GUID_SET
here there is a relationshhip maintained for header and item level guid link .
GUId are created when we upload the material groups an material numbers if there is a change in description of the material number or material group the guiod does not get changed as it an unique id based on the material group number which is a primary key
Description in general are never a primary key .
either in back end system or in SRM system.

IOS Group Messaging not working when Android phones are involved

Group Messaging not working for me when there are both Iphones and Androids involved. iPhones still using iOS 7 don't seem to be having problems leading me to believe this is an iOS 8 problem. Is there a workaround for this yet, or is this a legitimate bug fix that Apple will have to address?

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you arr having trouble with group messages. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.

Group chat not working on Mac

Suddenly stopped working, but personal messages works. Had to login via skype for web and that's where I saw that I had tons of group messages. Tried updating Skype to latest version (7.10), restarted several times, to no avail. Group Chat is still dead.

The same here. Group chats not working, and some 2-person chats not working too.

Groups does not work in Mail under Mavericks

Its not just smart groups, by I cannot get any of my Groups to work with Mail under Mavericks. I am weary of having to type out the address for each person separately. Is there some better way?

I don't know why typing he name of a regular group does not work for you, but…
Another way is to open the address panel, select a group, then select all in the group, then click the two button.

I have created a Z-Field on the header of the PO. the field is a check box. when the box is checked the PO should be subjected to release strategy, which is working fine.

Material group is not updated in EINA

Hi Experts,
We are having a situation for EINA table. Whenever a PIR is created with reference to material, its material group is copied from table MARA to PIR, but it is not being updated in EINA table. Where as if PIR is created with refernce to material group (wthout specifying material number), that time material group is visible in EINA table. We are having ECC 5 system.
Any pointers on this is very much appreciable.

Info records are kept in table EINA, either by material or material group. That is, either EINA-MATNR or EINA-MATKL is filled.
Never both!! Due to the fact that the field EINA-MATKL must be blank material info records with NO material master a search on this field   would require a lookup on the material master for each EINA record to find the corresponding material group.
"The field Eina-matkl is not to be updated because it could be changed in material master. Therefore the solution is to initialize the field in case of inforecord with material master. This solution I described is in note 93886. You will see the material group when you display the inforecord but it is not stored in EINA.

Existing environment is AD 2012. gpupdate /force command does not working in some client machine. And it's occur randomly. Error shown about 15-20% of client machine. Please suggest. Hopefully this time get reply from community.

Thanks for your reply. basically this error occurs with in same location as well as branch location. i have check event log in AD but not got any specific error. AD health status is ok. AD to AD synchronization also working well. All the client machine running
on windows 7 64 bit and few of them are windows 8.
Please suggest. if you need any event log for analysis i can send you.

I recommend you examine the event logs upon an affected client machine. Specifically, look for the surrounding events on that machine (both System, and Application logs), for the hours previous and the hour after.
The time period may vary according to your environment (e.g. what is expected/normal for your environment, your configured GP refresh cycle-time).
e.g., are there network drops, or power drops, or system crashes, restarts at the similar time.
if it's a laptop, is it wireless? Was there a transition from wireless to wired operation?
Is there VPN in use?
If you are able to compare with another machine (I would encourage that), to understand what "normal" looks like in the logs, so that you have some kind of baseline data for comparison.
Other checks, maybe confirm that the machines are updating as required (have the relevant WindowsUpdates etc), and consider if some security/protection/firewall software might be interfering with normal Windows operations.
Also the potential for malware or virus, which can disturb many basic services (ensure a scan is performed and returns clean).
If you have the opportunity for an affected user to contact you urgently when the symptom occurs, check that the gpt.ini file is accessible from their PC.
e.g.: \\example.net\sysvol\example.net\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB
984F9}\gpt.ini
This file is hosted within the replicated SYSVOL share on your DC's, so check that it is accessible.
You might also validate the particular GPO this refers to, and check each of your DC's holds the correct copy of the files for that GPO GUID.
If you open that GPO, and perform a minor change to it (e.g. add a comment), then click Apply, OK, this should cause the GPO contents to replicate an updated version (be cautious, depending upon the nature of that GPO !!!)

Lync 2013 Group Chat not working

We have a 2010 server and when I move people over to 2013 group chat does not work. I can select the people I want to talk to, but they don't see any of the conversations. When I move the back to the 2010 it works again.
We are running office 2013, lync 2013 and exchange 2010.
Any suggestions?

Have you installed Persistent Chat in Lync 2013? You'll need to migrate the group chat data to the Persistent Chat pool and setup a Persistent Chat Endpoint for the legacy 2010 group chat clients, see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204901.aspx

Group Messages Not Working between Android and iPhone Users on iOS7

Hi there,
I am a former iPhone user. I recently converted both my line and my wife's line from the IPhone 5 to a Motorola X Android phone. We kept our same phone numbers, but we completely switched from Verizon to AT&T. I have noticed that text messaging works perfectly on an individual basis when I correspond with individuals who have the iPhone, but Group Messaging is not working correctly. I am able to send messages to a group and they receive them just fine, but when they respond back to me, I do not receive their responses (as it appears they are going through as iMessages). My wife is having the same issue on her phone. After doing some detective work, I have found that hundreds of other users are having the same issues on their smartphones when they make the switch from an Apple product to an Android phone. There are a variety of "bug fixes" listed on the web, but I have completed all of them and I am still having the same issue. Here is what I have done so far...
*Factory reset both of our phones and removed the SIM cards (since we are with a new phone carrier)
*Changed both of our apple ID passwords
*Removed both of our phone numbers from Apple's database all together
*Unregistered both of our iPhone products with Apple
*Had all of my friends/family switch SMS to "On" in their Settings tab
So now what? I read one post on an Apple forum that said that they are aware of the issue and we can expect a fix in a future iOS update...but when is that going to occur, if at all? It is problems like these that led me to leave Apple all together, and here I am after having left the company, and I am still left high and dry searching for solutions to my problems. Who can help, and how can I remedy the situation?

There are reports of iOS7 altering the settings on iMessage's connection to the iPhone. Verify that each of the iPhone and the Mac is receiving on the "channel" (phone number or email address) on which the other is initiating iMessages.
