  • Help in BO WebI XI3.1 Input Control using language Translation

    Hello All,
    Need a help in BO WebI XI3.1 regarding Language Translation for Input Control.
    Input Control has been defined in the Report.
    The report is built in English language. The requirement here is to convert the report to French based on the Infoview Preferences.
    Language pack has been installed and also used Translation Manager tool to convert the report variables.
    All the fields including variables, column names, etc in the report has been changed to French. But the Input Control label could not be changed.
    Please let me know if there is a solution/workaround for the label to be changed.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance..

  • SMARTFORMS language translations are not stored

    Experts,
    I am trying to translate a SMARTFORM from Language EN to Languages ES, PT & DE.
    After maintaining translations using SE63 when I check the output it is giving the correct output with language translations but after changing the english version again, when I tried to give the output in language ES, PT & DE all my translations are gone. I dont know the reason why it happened, even I have created the transport using the program 'RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER' as well.
    Again I did the same thing second time i .e. translated the texts in different languages and again changed the form in language EN (base language) and activated it and after this, again I have tried to give the output in languages ES, PT and DE, again the same all my translations are gone and displaying only in English language.
    Kindly give some ideas so that this problem get resolved.
    Thanks,
    Kalikonda.

    Jay,
    Allotted points for your advice, but actually before asking this question I already searched in the forums and found the same program, but I thought that since my language translations are not getting stored, I may be using wrong program for the transport to be generated.
    Thank you very much for your advice and help.
    Kalikonda.

  • Language Translation in BW3.5

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement to display user interface/reports in Spanish language. We are working on BW 3.5.
    I am trying to set up the translation environment following the link on sdn     http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ad/06dcf4c4be11d291c70000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm
    I have done the setup for Target Language, Translation Client, Translation Graph, Object Types for Translation and Translator Profiles. Next step is to Assign Packages.
    As per the steps given in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ad/06dcf4c4be11d291c70000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm:
    1. Call up transaction SLWA.
    2. Select your target language under the tab title Target language.
    3. Choose the tab title Packages.
    4. You first need to select the packages that you want to assign to a translator.
    5. You can now see the number of packages you have selected under Selection.
    6. Choose Assign from the application toolbar.
    A dialog box appears containing a list of all the translators that are defined for the target language you have selected.
    However at the sixth step, to assign packages for translation, the only options I see are: Lock, Translate, Package Info and Lock globally. I do not see a 'Assign' button as mentioned in the online help.
    Does anyone have an idea? I am not able to proceed further without assigning packages. Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    - Sangeeta

  • HT4009 I just purchased a language translator app for $.99. Is this a monthly or weekly fee? If so will I be notified and billed at renewal?  How do I cancel it if and when I decide to do so?

    I just purchased a language translation app for $.99  Can someone tell me is this a weekly, monthly or annual bill?  Will I be notified of a renewal option prior to renewal?  How does one cancel the subscription if not satisified with it?  Thanks for your help!

    If you do have any apps that are sold on subscription basis, you can manage that subscription by going to iTunes > Store > View My Account > Settings > Subscriptions > Manage.
    I have never seen an app similar to what you have purchased which was not just "pay-once".  I think Google Translate does the same thing for free even.

  • Language Translate in Transport Request

    Hello,
                     I translated one of ZREPORT from English to German,in this way GOTO-Translation-and required language, I activated and saved in Transport request.Now my doubt is that language translation is automatically saved in the transport order.Becasue when i check in dev server it is displaying fine in German.In quality it is not dispaying in German.
    What could be the reason.
    Thank You for your help.
    Regards,
    Anil.D

    Hello Anil,
    yes,  we can see only the report text and report name in transport request.
    But when you assign a new request for the same report or report text  , and after that translating the text , then all the translations will move to the same request , Nowhere in SAP you are able to c the translation texts in a request.
    So Assign a new request and translate them , Activate them and release.
    Regards,
    Aby

  • How can we make language translation in sap script?

    Hi expert,
    Based on language i have to display text in sap script form.
    please i like to know how to maintain language translation in sap script.
    manually i am handling the language text in print program.
    like below.
    if language = 'EN'
       text in english.
    endif.
    if language = 'DE'
      text in German.
    endif.
    good points will be given for proper answer.
    Thanks and regards,
    Pavan.

    Hello there!
    If those texts are static, you can use the following procedure (to translate your text elements):
    Go to SE63, then in the menu follow this path:
    Translation->ABAP Objects->Other Long Texts->FS (forms and styles)->FORM (Forms)
    This will transport you for a screen where you can choose the script (Object -> field Object Name). Press Enter. If says object not found, it's because the source language is wrong (box below named translation -> field source language --- press F4 to change it)
    After this, you'll navigate (after pressing Enter with correct language in source and choosing a correct one in target) to the transaltion screen. You'll have you text elements, original on top, your transalation below.
    If those texts are dynamic, I believe you have to do the way you are doing.
    Hope this helps.

  • XLF - Language Translations Migrations Problem

    Hi
    We are trying to upload XLF files for language translations using the following command.
    Command is getting executed without any errors and we can see the uploaded translation XLF files from the front end (XML Publisher Administrator/Home/Templates).When we run the report for the languages other than English, Lables are not appearing in the translated language and also the uploaded XLF files have no information of the fields and translated labels.
    It just contains the header section.
    This is happening only when we try to upload XLF file using XLIFLoader and not the same case when we upload the physical XLF file from the front end. (Templates/Upload translations).
    Please help us to resolve the issue ASAP since we can‘t proceed with our migration activities with out

              ICheckboxGroupElement theElement =     wdContext.nodeCheckboxGroup().createCheckboxGroupElement();
              strName = abcprp<i>.getName().toString();

    wdContext.nodeCheckboxGroup().addElement(theElement);
    I have got more than 50 fields which I will get from the above code..
    can somebody pls explain me in the above scenario hw can we use the translation

  • Script Language Translation - Very Common Question, but unable to resolve !

    Hi Gurus,
    I know this is very common question, but I am stuck, unable to get this one resolved.
    Need to translate sap script "TEXT SYMBOLS" from "English" to "French".
    Have maintained language translation text symbol values in table TTDTG.
    But when i login through French language, these are still getting printed in English !!
    Any Pointers to resolve this will be of great help.
    Many Thanks,
    Madan

    hi
    1) Copy the Script into FR language and then change the Corresponding ENGLISH text to FRENCH text.
    2) Pass ur logon langauge   in the OPEN_FORM FM  Import parameters
                                                                                    LANGUAGE = sy-langu.
    so that whatever is ur logon langauge it corresponding Form will be called.

  • SMARTFORMS - language translation (urgent)

    Hi,
    I developed a smartform in English language. Now I want to translate this form into Finnish language. So, I went to SE63->Translation->R/3->Other long texts->Forms and styles->SSF. Provided the form name, source and target languages clicked the Edit button. In the edit screen, I inserted the translated hardcoded text in the target form. Then clicked save and activate. It says saved and activated.
    My question is, how to checked the tranlated form now?
    Anyone please let me know the proceedure. I will appreciate the help with points. Thanks

    Please note that there is no need to create a smartform in multiple languages as we are doing in SAP scripts.
    You can Copy the smarttform by setting a flag in smartforms :
    Use T/code : SMARTFORMS --> enter Samrtform name --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes > Language attributes> Language--> Translate to selected langauges/all langauges.
    For Translations :
    Please use T/code SE63> Translation(Menubar) > R/3 Enterprise>Other long texts> SSF (Smartforms)>Enter Samrtformname-> Define source language and target langauge.
    or
    se63 -> translation -> R/3 Enterprise -> other Longtexts -> Smartforms -> select your form
    -> translate
    Hope this will help you.

  • ASA 5510 Spanish Language Translation

    Hi,
    I am trying to add language translation for both SSL Web VPN and AnyConnect to Spanish.  I have found a translation toolkit for Japanese and French, but no other languages.  It seems the toolkit has all messages translated from English to the other language in various files.  Does anyone know how I can get the translations for all msgids or do I have to have a Spanish friend?  Any help would be appreciated.

    jfmotta1, welcome to Apple Discussions.
    There are some translate widgets for Mac, but they seem to be for a newer OS X version. I've used (via copy/paste) these sites for translation.

  • DEVELOPING A LANGUAGE TRANSLATOR

    Hi Everybody,
    I want to add a language translator web-page to my site. The page will accept text submitted in ANY language and translate it to any language requested by the user. The service is also supposed to include displaying the translated text in that language's FONT .i.e if the text is translated into Egyptian then it should be VISIBLE in Egyptian, not in English.
    I have'nt got the faintest idea how to go about the whole thing. All I can make out is that I would require the local language fonts, a dictionary of the local language- in which the English words have been mapped e.t.c.
    Can anybody help me out on this? URLs containing tutorials on how to develop such translators would be warmly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    I would be grateful if the tutorials/URLs mostly use Java.

    Hopefully this will format correctly so you can read it.

And have found the following to be true. The complexity of such a project is high but if you want to chew bark this is a good place to cut your teeth:
    http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/translationserver/infocenter/mt/sampleServletOnDemand.html
    If you are still on the tit then follow Andy's suggestion:
    "Companies like systran, L&H (their product "web translator") would be good places to look."
    I looked at Systran and there free solutions has a lot to be desired (Free is for me). No offense have friends that work for Systran but the whole "marketing thang" is out of control. Lots of banners especially if you use frames. It doesn't like other applets. Killed my text fader when I tried to place their form code in my header. Anyway...
    Try:
    http://translationwave.com/
    Registers for the site and translate whatever you want. As a matter of fact that is how i got here. For the last hour or so I have been trying their online service and it offers more languages than Systran and without banner ads.

    warmly appreciated.Well I would not call the link to IBM a tutorial so much as a "You can do it like this", but they also included the "Like you want it" and the "Have it your way" versions. Lots of links and references. Got to say IBM has style. How many people buy IBM's cause they are Big Blue? Reminds me of the movie "Crazy People" and the line, "boxy but good". Since Volvo's are round now and days IBM could annex the new slogan.
    Sorry needed the comedy relief.
    I would be grateful if the tutorials/URLs mostly
    use Java.Its all Java...but there are several catchs from what I read. It is necessary to connect your web front end (form) to the servlet[has parameters], then the (IBM) servlet communicates to a Websphere Application Server (WAS don't ask me its an IBM thing. NT was referenced instead of OS/2 as the server OS)blah,blah,blah... uses an active object for translation. Further more once the WAS translates and sends the page back to the browser. The page content is stored in a Lotus Domino Database for speedier delivery on subsequent requests(Cached).
    The translationwave.com site uses a .jsp page and two javascript files (.js) and then communicates to a WebTransServlet...Hum, Hum,,, I think this is where I walked in.
    "I am looking for a basic servlet I can modify and call my own. There are free multi lingual databases available over the web. and L&H has an engine for little to nothing."
    If you were going to do this yourself its going to take a while, just to get all the reference material absorbed and figure a plan of attack: Ie...need hardware or permission to add software to your server, write servlet, do some test and debugging, need a translation engine; thats where L&H comes in, and gotta have those Language A to Language B dictionaries.
    May the forest be behind you and not in the trees,
    Terrence
