Language translation in smartforms

In SE63, I tried to convert one smartform "LE_SHP_DELNOTE" from DE language to EN. When I click on EDIT button, I am getting two split windows, one for source and other for target. But the problem is I am getting DE language in both the source and target windows. It is not getting converted to english. But, for all other languages, it is getting translated, except english.
I rememebr, first time when I open it was workiing fine. But not sure what went wrong now. If anybody having any idea, please help me...

Did you make any change in the original form(DE) and activated without activating the translation? If so, the translation done would have been reverted.

Language Translation in Smartforms - SE63

Hi All. I have succesfully translated a smartform from English to Portugues, but as soon as i have done text changes to my smartform and activate it, and done the translation for the changes, the previous changes dissappers and revert to the first/original translation,,,do i need to do anything when adding text after. Let me explaine with an example:
Example: I have translated the word 'Date' the first time to 'Data'... everything fine. Now i change the word 'Date' to 'Date from' , so i ammend the translation, for 'Date from' to' Data ex'...evrything still fine. Now if i change anyhthing, except text,in my smartform(eg:Name of a window) and activate the smartform....the translation revert back to just 'Data'..the original translation.
Is there something i miss.

Hi,
This will happen when the translation is done through SE63. After activating the transaltion, if you make any change in the original form the translation will be reverted. The only solution to this problem is that open original form and SE63 simultaneously, make the change in the original form and activate both original form and SE63. Please ensure to keep opened the translation in SE63 before you make the change in the original one.

Problem related to language translation in Smartforms using Text Module.

I have done translation of text module from English (enUS) to Spanish (esSP) using SE63. In text node I have used this translated text module. Language of the node is selected as sy-langu. So when I logged into System in English language I should be able to see the output in English but it giving output in Spnaish. While debugging sy-langu value is 'E'.

You have a text in english and you have maintained the translation in Spanish, mention the original text in the SmartForm. in this way when your login lang is EN you will see that text in Eng and if the lang is Spanish you will see the translation in the output.

SMARTFORMS language translations are not stored

Experts,
I am trying to translate a SMARTFORM from Language EN to Languages ES, PT & DE.
After maintaining translations using SE63 when I check the output it is giving the correct output with language translations but after changing the english version again, when I tried to give the output in language ES, PT & DE all my translations are gone. I dont know the reason why it happened, even I have created the transport using the program 'RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER' as well.
Again I did the same thing second time i .e. translated the texts in different languages and again changed the form in language EN (base language) and activated it and after this, again I have tried to give the output in languages ES, PT and DE, again the same all my translations are gone and displaying only in English language.
Kindly give some ideas so that this problem get resolved.

Allotted points for your advice, but actually before asking this question I already searched in the forums and found the same program, but I thought that since my language translations are not getting stored, I may be using wrong program for the transport to be generated.

Translate a smartform to a non installed language

Hello to everybody,
I need to translate a smartform from english language to italian language and the se63 transaction gives back to me "Incorrect Code Page" error. My question is if i may translate this smartform omitting the package language installation.

How to TRANSPORT SMARTFORMS LANGUAGE TRANSLATIONS

Hi,
Would anyone know how I will be able to transport to a different system the Language translations I defined for my SMARTFORM?
I observed that I am not asked for a Transport when I define the Translations in SE63

I have a smartform which was initially written in FR (french) and now it needs to be translated to EN.

I do have an issue while converting a SMARFORM using se63.
I was trying to convert my EN Smart form to FR (French) .
I followed the below mentioned steps ;
_Logged in EN (English)
-->>_Gone to se63
-->gone to translation->abap obj->other long text->select ssf sap smartform
-->gave the SMART FORM name
-->given translation are :999999 (abap system)
--> Source language (English) & Targe Language (French)
--> clicked on EDIT
when i follow these and click on EDIT i am getting this ERROR " Form or text yfipayment does not exis_t" (Message no. SMARTFORMS200). but actually the smarform really exists but its showing error as does not exist.
Then,
i *tried loggin in using FR (French)* and followed the same procedure and got
a warning saying "Objet non trouvé" (N° message SAPMTRAN010)
can anyone help me on this issue..

SMARTFORMS - language translation (urgent)

Hi,
I developed a smartform in English language. Now I want to translate this form into Finnish language. So, I went to SE63->Translation->R/3->Other long texts->Forms and styles->SSF. Provided the form name, source and target languages clicked the Edit button. In the edit screen, I inserted the translated hardcoded text in the target form. Then clicked save and activate. It says saved and activated.
My question is, how to checked the tranlated form now?
Anyone please let me know the proceedure. I will appreciate the help with points. Thanks

Please note that there is no need to create a smartform in multiple languages as we are doing in SAP scripts.
You can Copy the smarttform by setting a flag in smartforms :
Use T/code : SMARTFORMS --> enter Samrtform name --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes > Language attributes> Language--> Translate to selected langauges/all langauges.
For Translations :
Please use T/code SE63> Translation(Menubar) > R/3 Enterprise>Other long texts> SSF (Smartforms)>Enter Samrtformname-> Define source language and target langauge.
or
se63 -> translation -> R/3 Enterprise -> other Longtexts -> Smartforms -> select your form
-> translate

Problem in language Translation

I am having problem in language translation of smart form.
I have include all text as text element and have done translation in SE63. But when I login in to translated language the output remains in English.
I have made the translation from English to Chinese in SE63.
Please suggest why the output does not come into translated language.

I have been working on translations for 8 months now. I think i can resolve your issue.
Remember one thing in mind when you do translations firstly when you go to se 63 and make some changes make sure that you have not opened the smartform in Change mode. If you do so then you will face this sort of probelm. As per your messages i think you have already checked the language in the form
If not make sure you do it. Now try again in SE63 make changes in what ever langauage you are doing and then "saveactive" .
One more final thing if anytext in smartform say &invoivce_no& is blank in smartform then it will not show up in se63 i think you know about this.

At first I translated my smartform via SE63, but I found using se63 to translate smartform is not good, I want to try to use ZSSDLABLES(a structure) and TTDTG(Pooled table which contains the value of the fields in the structure, the value is language dependant), do you know what I mean? I need to define a variable called gs_labels(gs_labels type ZSSDLABELS) in the global data tab of the smartform, and call a function to retrieve the value of every field in gs_labels in the initialization tab of the smartform.

Dynamic Text translation in Smartforms

Hi experts,
I want to translate a smartform from EN(English) to DE(German).I achieved this through SE63 transaction.It is working fine,but I have three dynamic values passed to the smartform as (&One&,&two&,&three&). These three values are always displayed in EN(English).How to translate these dynamic values also in to DE(German).
Every thing is based on log on language.
I searched in SDN but didn't hit any result. Help me on this issue experts.

goto so10, give a name to text
give text id as 'ST'
object as 'TEXT'
and language as u want.
and create
now in ur smartform-> create a text node of type include text and provide the same details ie name, textid, object and language.

Just try this transaction SE63.
In that There are menu called GOTO and WORKLIST.
Check the options in those two. I don't have sufficient authorization to check the things. I think it will provide you the required information.
Please revert back me if you find a solution or if i am wrong. SO that i will try some other option.

Displaying English and ARABIC language on a smartform?

Hi Folks, I have an issue printing two different languages on a smartform; I should print English and One more language of ARABIC style (RIGHT TO LEFT). In Debugging mode i could see the Arabic Text exactly in the format which i have entered but when i print it takes the other way.
For Ex: ABCD - (Fyi - this is of Arabic Language dialect)
o/p: ( i m getting) DCBA
i tried with Text Include n Text Element during debugging i could see the data as DCBA but when i print the system (MS Tools - Word) are recognising the Language is of Arabic and its automatically changing the cursor position to the end ((**I found this in XML Format of Smartform)). so the form is printing from the new cursor position i.e A; and its displaying the output as ABCD.
Note: I have no problem with List, Screen Etc. except "Form".

Check the printer device type you are using.
For printing the Arabic output you need the printer defined using ZARSWIN device type. Ask the Basis consultant to do the same.

In your sap screen in the end of the Application toolbar there is button called Customizing of local layout then goto the Character set then click on the simplified chinese or traditional chinese . Then you are able to see the chinese contents with the help of english log on language.
