Language Translation is not working for Pick slip Report (XML)

Hi All,
I have to translate the Oracle Pick slip report(XML) in other language. So I export and upload translation file for different language but still it is taking default english template. It should refer the translation file but it.s not working. Could you please suggest me if I am missing something?

SUB: i have to create one XML report on .RDF(move order pick slip report).
Submitting procedure move order pick slip report : i have created one Discrete Job and released that Job, then Component pick release for that particular job. then move order number will generates. then automatically fires the Move Order Pick Slip Report.
NOTE: what i meant to say is i am not submitting the report from SRS window. it will fires automatically when move order is generated.
for this i have taken .xml and generated .rtf according to my layout and i have registered with XML publisher also.it is correct . But while running the report i am getiing output as geting codes not in template(wht i have .rtf) format.
if i have to see the output in template from. (i have taken in conc program output as XML also) still same problem.
please help me if anybody having solutions.

Filter not working for a Webi report

Hi There,
We have a BOBJ Webi report having variable selection screen when I run the report with default fiscal year Ex.2012 it's working fine. Then by click on refresh button and trying to change selection value to Ex. 2013 and I'm unable to see any values even though it has values for 2013.
When I click on the filter bar then the values are appearing. Could anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this issue and how can we avoid this.
We are in BOBJ 4.0 SP6.

Thanks for the reply, Please find the screen shots below
1. Report initial screen running with the default prod year for 2012 and it's working.
2. Then I click on refresh and run for another prod year it's not displaying values even though it has values for that prod year.
3. When I click on filter bar then the values are appearing. Not sure why it's behaving like this?
Also note that there is no filter, under query filters. Please give me any idea about this issue.

Drilldown on Query not working for Transactions(SQ01--Report Assignments)

Hi !
I created for deliveries and through SQ01 -- Report assignment I added two
transactions VL03n And VA03. When I execute the query and double click on the
delievery number it takes me to the particular delivery clicked on in VL03n,
but when I clcik on the sales document and select the display sales document,
it does open the VA03 transaction but does not auto populate the transaction
with teh sales document that I clciked on. Could anyone please explain me why
it does not auto-populate with the sales document number , but when deliverey
is clciked it directly takes me to the particular delivery screen?

Dlls are not working for me in Report server

Hi,
I am using SSRS 2008 and deployed some reports to the report server. For localization purpose we are having some Dlls which need to be registered in the report server. I am using some methods from the dll.
Can someone please suggest how I can register these dlls to work in the report server for 2008, R2 and 2012.

Per my understanding that you have issue when you registered an dll and use the method from it, right?
Generally, You can follow steps below to make the custom assemblies works fine:
Create a custom assembly
Copy the custom assembly to the SQL Reporting Services folders
Adding a reference to the custom assembly in Reporting Services
Code access security if the custom assembly requires additional permissions

Colwidth_optimize not working for alv grid report

Hi friends,
         I have developed an ALV grid report using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'. The field catalog field columns are having the heading size more than 30 characters. So, to optimize the size of the headings, I am using SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV and passing the value 'X' to colwidth_optimize.
but still the column heading is not getting fully display. Rather it is display first 20 characters only.

Auto_lexer (stemming) not working for other languages(other than english)

Hi All,
We are planning to use AUTO_LEXER instead of MULTI_LEXER and observed that stemming is not working for German where as it is working for English when I use AUTO_LEXER. I even used query templates but of no use.
But when i use MULTI_LEXER, creating sub lexers for German and Enlgish, Stemming is working for German also after changing the session language and setting stemmer of wod list to German (Which is expected).

this doesnt work even after changing the session language. My default Sesson language is AMERICAN.

According to the online documentation, Oracle only supports stemming for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. Oracle does not support Russian stemming, although you may have gotten some accidental results, due to identifying it as a different language and applying stemming rules for that language. The following manual sections show the languages available for the index_stems attribute of the basic_lexer and stemmer attribute of the basic_wordlist:

I don't work for Oracle, so I don't know why they do things the way they do.
So, you need to stick with the basic_wordlist for stemming, not the lexers. However, you may get better performance by combining the multi_lexer with the basic_wordlist, as the multi_lexer eliminates time spent on automatic language detection. But, you need to remember not to use the index_stems with your lexer, since it will conflict with the wordlist. I am not experiencing any time problems as you have. Please see the demo below. I have provided the whole script below that, so that you can reproduce it on your system. If you still have problems, then it may be due to differences in versions.

People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version

i am using sharepoint 2010 and windows authentication
recently i have updated my ie to ie11 and problem goes here.
when i try to select from people picker, there are an unexpected error happened
however when i use other ie version, people picker work fine, what goes wrong?
i have already added my system as trusted site
if there any others thing i miss out?

According to your post, my understanding is that People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version.
IE 11 is known to have compatibility issues on SharePoint 2010, please make sure to:
first of all, try installing latest update for IE 11 (several compatibility issues were fixed since the first release)
add the site to compatibility view (in IE> Tools> Compatibility view settings> type site name> add)
add the site to trusted sites and set the zone security level to low (in IE> Internet Options> Security> trusted sites> sites>add your site there> ok> custom level> select low> reset> ok)
You can use developer tools (f12) and set browser mode to the version that is most compatible with your environment.

Hyphenation not working for Russian language

Hello All,
We really shocked to see that hyphenation not working for Russian language, anyone faced this issue? Please let us know how to rectify this issue since we need to complete one of the project with Russian language.

@Kasyan: Thanks for the response, I'm using 5.5 and facing this issue while select the language 'Russian' no where found the hyphens and in most of the places looks loose line due to missing of hyphens.

Cascading Select Lists - Not Working for me

I am trying to implement Denes Kubicek's Ajax Cascading Select List solution.

Now to the problem:
I run page 5 (the report) to see the list of locations and then I try to edit a record (page 6). When I
try to select a different country I get the following error (on IE):

I don't see any of the alert messages.
I also tried to run the application process code in the SQL - Command Processor (I replaced
:cascading_selectlist_item_1 with 'CA' or 'US') and got the following:

'Move order pick slip report' Report not picking XML publisher Template.

SUB: i have to create one XML report on .RDF(move order pick slip report).
Submitting procedure move order pick slip report : i have created one Discrete Job and released that Job, then Component pick release for that particular job. then move order number will generates. then automatically fires the 'Move Order Pick Slip' Report.
NOTE: what i meant to say is i am not submitting the report from SRS window. it will fires automatically when Component pick release.
For this i have taken .xml and generated .rtf according to my layout and i have registered with XML publisher also.it is correct . But while running the report i am geting output as XML codes not in template(wht i have .rtf) format.
if i have to see the output in template from. (i have taken in conc program output as XML also) still same problem.
please help me if anybody having solutions.

Hi Valli,
1:The first thing i would suggest that please check the BI Publisher version you are using (on apps/and on template builder also).
2: In any case if your report is not picking up the template and generating the xml output , i suggest you to attach one program "XML Report Publisher" in your SRS.
Oncwe you run your report and its generate the xml output. you have to take the request id & from view ---> submit request--->XML Report Publisher. run this request again.
it will ask for the request id , select the appropriate request id and it will generate the pdf output as per your requirement.
But this is temporary solution , i strongly recommend you to check the updated version of BI Publisher and instaal it on your oracle apps instance. also use the updated version of bi publisher for Layout(Template Builder).

VL06G item not relevant for picking

Hi Gurus,
I have a delivery with a single item that is not relevant for picking and I cannot see it in VL06G.
I don't understand why.
In the selection screen the report WS_MONITOR_OUTB_DEL_GDSI has picking status 'C' or Blank.
So it should display also my delivery, that has picking status = blank

I don't know which version of SAP you are in.
However I found an OSS note that's relevant upto Version 4.6C, which says the following:
" However, it is not possible, for example, to include the picking status ' ' (Not relevant) in the selection, because this represents an enhancement of the standard selection range. ".
I am thinking it may still work the same way as it is a conceptual matter.
Please review this

you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

SMARTFORMS language translations are not stored

I am trying to translate a SMARTFORM from Language EN to Languages ES, PT & DE.
After maintaining translations using SE63 when I check the output it is giving the correct output with language translations but after changing the english version again, when I tried to give the output in language ES, PT & DE all my translations are gone. I dont know the reason why it happened, even I have created the transport using the program 'RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER' as well.
Again I did the same thing second time i .e. translated the texts in different languages and again changed the form in language EN (base language) and activated it and after this, again I have tried to give the output in languages ES, PT and DE, again the same all my translations are gone and displaying only in English language.
Kindly give some ideas so that this problem get resolved.

Allotted points for your advice, but actually before asking this question I already searched in the forums and found the same program, but I thought that since my language translations are not getting stored, I may be using wrong program for the transport to be generated.
