Hi Lucas,
The language of Fiori apps can be changed from launchpad as in the attached screenshot.
Also the rendering of apps to a different language can be achieved by changing the language code in the URL at sap-language=EN .
Note: make sure the Languages are enabled in SICF .Error Pages -> Logon Errors -> System Logon - where Logon Pages are configured
EDIT : Supported Languages can also be checked in PAM .

  • What are the better load/performance testing tools available for Flex Application with BlazeDS RO?

    In my application is designed with Flex3, ActionScript3, BlazeDS Remote Objects.
    Just i tried with OPENSTA but i cant do the dynamic parameterization in their generated scripts because the response of the calls is binary values and also we cant get the response using with SCL language.
    While testing with OPENSTA with HttpService, i can do the dynamic parameterization and got the response.
    can give the information about the below questions
    whether we can do dynamic parameterization with OPENSTA for Flex Remote objects?
    and  what are the better load/performance tools available for Flex Remote Objects?

    Your approach is fine, depending on how many and what type of CFCs you are talking about. If they are "singletons" - that is, only one instance of each CFC is needed to be in memory and can be reused/shared from multiple parts of your application - caching them in the application scope is common.  Just make sure they are thread safe ("var" or local.* all your method variables).
    You might consider taking advantage of a dependency injection framework, such as DI/1 (part of the FW/1 MVC framework), ColdSpring, or WireBox (a module of the ColdBox platform that can be used independently).  They have mechanisms for handling and caching singletons.  Then you wouldn't have to go to the application scope to get your CFC instances.

  • "Application not available" for every application ...

    I'm hoping this is an easy one...
    I have a Lumia 710 with the latest software. I reinstalled the OS on my laptop, and reinstalled Zune. I connected my Lumia and change the sync partnership type from Guest and everything looked OK.
    Since then, when I connect to the App Marketplace and irrespective of what application I select, I get the message "Application not available. This might be because your phone software needs to be updated..." message.
    Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks a lot for your help,
    Iain

    If you go to Microsoft store on your PC and you sign in with your Microsoft account you should be able to select apps and install them to the phone without the need of Zune. If this works and you can also install apps directly on your phone I'd contact Microsoft Store Support for further assistance.

  • HTTP Status 404 error for FIORI Application deployed on HCP

    Hello Experts,
    I have created a Fiori App using Web IDE and deployed it on my trial account of HCP .
    The Gateway service used is from On Premise system. I have used SAP Cloud Connector to connect Hana cloud Platform and on premise system.
    In Web IDE test application works fine. However, when I deploy it and access the application URL I am getting the error "HTTP Status 404" as shown in the screenshot.
    In Chrome  Developer Console shows below error
    "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)".  I have checked many threads but could not find the solutions.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Does your firoi app have index.html file ? If yes, is it placed in the root folder of your app ?
    I guess you're missing out the index.html in your fiori app. You may be having Component.js as the entry point which will run only with Fiori launchpad. But to run fiori app as standalone, you need to create the index.html file.
    You can try accessing your component.js file by adding a '/Component.js' at the end of the url to know if you're app has been deployed properly as of now.

  • No installation language available for CR 2011

    Hi there, I am working in the Sales Controlling unit of a technical advisory company. We make use of Crystal Reports 2011 on a local installation. One of my collegaues recently got a new laptop and intended to install CR again. But he could not complete the installation. When it comes to select the installation language the pick list is blank. His office is in Oslo and I copied the installation folder/files to his desktop in order to solve performance issues. Local admin rights has been assigned. Does anyone the community have a solution? Similar problems known?

    Hi Don, thanks for your quick response. Yes, I see a lot of subfolders for the languages, I recently checked it. Before I posted my problem to the SAP Community Network I screened the web for any solutions. I observed a similar problem where someone simply shortened the path of the installation folder…. See that link: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3474126 Can this problem be related to the local/regional settings of my colleagues computer? I mean his office is in Oslo and all his settings refer to Norwegian…. Thanks Don Br robert

  • Add Japanese language to Blackberry desktop application software list

    I have installed Blackberry Desktop Software 6.0 for blackberry curve 9300.
    I wish to install japanese language pack to view japanese character on my cellphone.
    Language is not available in the application list.
    How can I import this new language?

    Hi cchr
                  Have you Downloaded the OS having East Asian  or all language ,First download it from the Carrier site.Then after installing it in your PC or Laptop you have to delete one or two Vendor .xml files.
    Search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml ( On your Pc change your folders option to show hidden files/folders ) :
         C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
        C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    Then have a try.

  • Language files for non-official Skype languages av...

    Skype bundles a number of languages with the standard installation file but there are more languages available for the interface. Some of these are really hard to find on the forum or web so to make life easier, some translators have opened a project on SourceForge (download your lang file here) where you can now get all the .lang / .ts and .qm files (as far as we know). To install in Windows, go to Skype and select Tools » Change Language » Load Skype Language file. To install on Linux, check the wiki on SourceForge.
    If you would like to continue translating into your language or if you want to start a new non-official translation, please visit the project on Transifex
    Please note:
    They're not all complete translations (but you're welcome to help!)
    They're not official so if any translations are wrong, that's not Skype's fault

  • Guidelines for deciding directory structure for Swing Application

    Hi,
    We are developing a Swing Application for our organization. We want to organize the code and resources/icons/properties files in correct manner.
    We have guidelines for arranging the code for web application. Is there any such guidelines available for desktop application as well? What is the preferred location for keeping the icons and properties files?
    Regards,
    Manu

    Thanks Maran.
    I have already checked many installation guides before posting here. All of them mention about creating folders like /admin or /oradata on various mount points but none of the naming conventions really indicate whether it is a 8i database or a 10g database.
    This is required when you are having multiple Oracle installations under /opt and databases are running from different mount points.

  • Global item for all applications in a workspace

    Hi All,
    Is there a way to set a global item available for all applications in a workspace?

    Sabiha,
    I know this is a bit late, but here's what I did. This answer spans your question a bit but may be helpful to others.
    I have a dev, test, and prod environment so we have difference values depending on the instance. When moving an app from dev to test I don't want to have to modify any substitution strings since that can become a pain and possibilities of someone forgetting something is high.
    1- Great a table called global_values, which has a value_name, and value
    Let's say you wanted to store an email address: admin_email...
    2- Make sure to insert into global_values ('ADMIN_EMAIL, '[email protected]');
    3- For each application you have, create an application item called G_ADMIN_EMAIL
    4- For each application create a process (on login) called: Set Global Values. In this use the util:
    HTMLDB_UTIL.SET_SESSION_STATE (
    p_name => 'G_ADMIN_EMAIL',
    p_value => <function to get the global value> );
    4(extra): For one application item this is ok, but to make it even better, just create a function that will set all the application items so you don't have to change this in all your applications.
    The advantage with all this is that the data is stored in the DB and will help you move from instances without any errors. The disadvantage is that it'll be a slight performance hit since you're calling a function for each user login. You'll also have to add an application_item for each of your applications....

  • Concept similar to ServletContext available for WD?

    Hi,
    in standard J2EE web applications there is the ServletContext (als known as the predefined JSP-variable application) which can hold application specific data that can be accessed by any user session as long as the web application is running. In J2EE web apps I frequently use the ServletContext as a shared cache for certain data read from a database.
    Now I wonder if there is something similar available for WD java applications.
    My understanding is that a controller context within the root component of the WD application does not do the job, because the root component is instantiated on a per session basis.
    Is there any concept similar to a ServletContext available for WD applications?
    If not is there a best practice how to simulate such a concept?
    Regards,
    Sven

    Dear Sven,
    I have done some investigation on this topic. Due to the fact that one shouldn't access the HttpRequest in a webdynpro application, consquently one shouldn't access the underlying Servletcontext as well.
    In order to store data in memory for usage as e.g. valuehelp content like in a project i am working on there are 2 possibilities:
    1) implement a portal service that holds the cache in a private member variable, but provides accessor methods for it.
    public class ContextService implements IContextService{
    private IServiceContext mm_serviceContext;
    private Properties mm_applicationCache;
    Generic init method of the service. Will be called by the portal runtime.
    @param serviceContext
    public void init(IServiceContext serviceContext){
      mm_serviceContext = serviceContext;
      CrtClassLoaderRegistry.addClassLoader(this.getKey(), this.getClass().getClassLoader());
    public Properties getCache(){
    return mm_applicationCache;
    tro call the Service in WD.
    ====================
    IContextService portalservice=(IContextService)WDPortalUtils.getServiceRefrence(IContextService.KEY);
    portalservice.getCache();
    2)  the second solution (which i am not going to implement) is using Entity Beans, that hold the Applicationcontext Information. you would access these with SessionBeans (preferrably stateless) that in turns are used as Webdynpromodells (Command bean approach).
    best regards,
    Juergen

  • Make custom theme available for the "Create new app" wizard

    Hi all,
    I have a general problem. Imagine you have created a theme for ApEx. The theme makes applications look as demanded by the design principles of a company. The company now wants everyone developing ApEx applications to use the developed theme.
    But It seems to me that there is no easy way of doing this. When I create a new application, I can only see the standard themes defined in the repository. If I want a new application to use the developed theme, I have to exort the theme once, and import it for any application I create (after creating the application, of course :-( ). This is cumbersome. And maybe a point of discussion in many companies.
    Is there a way to exchange a predefined theme in the repository through a custom theme? Or even better: Add a predefined theme to the repository? The important thing is to make the theme available for all applications in an instance without importing the theme again and again.
    If there is no possibility to do this, this is an enhancement request. How about a possibility to import new themes globally for all applications (maybe from the INTERNAL workspace). Or how about putting a "Import Theme" Upload field on the "Select Theme" page in the application creation wizard?
    Regards.
    Stephan

    Hello,
    I'll put an enhancement request for that, there might even already be one. The way you are doing it right now is pretty much the easiest way.
    One way I do it is I have a stub application that has just a couple blank pages and the proper themes and templates. Then all someone has to do is install the blank application and start working on that, it just takes a couple steps out of the theme switching issue.

    If anyone have knowledge , please let me know .I want to get some apple certification on ios application developement.

    None that I know of.
    It's more impressive and useful if you write an app and get it published in the App Store.
    That way you can show you aren't just a 'paper MCSD'.
