Languages on itunes

Hi everyone…I have a small problem that I can’t seem to fix. I live in Denmark and when I download the new itunes on the pc (from the US / international site)..and follow the instructions and all that..when it asks me about the language..i choose English, but when the programme is finally running…all the tabs and menus are in Danish (which I can somewhat decipher, but its annoying). I think it senses that I’m located in Denmark and goes ahead and chooses that anyway. Does anyone know how I can bypass this? Or change the settings to make it work in English?
thanks a lot!
K

  • Download movies in italian language on iTunes living outbroad

Hello everyone. I'm Mattia, I'm italian but I live in France. I would like to buy movies from iTunes in Italian language but I can purchase movies only from iTunes France beacause my credit card works on a french circuit only and it doesn't work on iTunes Italia.
How can I download movies in Italian language from iTunes France? Is there any solution for this?
    Thanks in advance!

You can only buy content from your own country's store, so if you are in France then you can only buy from the French store. Some films might have multiple audio tracks on them - what language(s) a particular film is in should be listed on its description page in the store e.g.
If there is a particular film that you'd like the Italian version of then you can try requesting that it be added to the French store, but ultimately it's the film studio that will have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
If a film does have different audio options then this page explains how to select the one that you want when watching it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5562

  • Location language of Itunes vs user language

I am located in the Netherlands but I am Spanish and when downloading Itunes as I am located in the Netherlands all the information is thoght for Dutch people and in Dutch.
Is there any way that I can change that to Spanish or English, so not only the navigation within Itunes is in a language I command but the promotions make sense to me.
    THANKS for your help

If you need to get through to a Spanish language download link for iTunes, try:
    http://www.apple.com/es/itunes/download/
If you need to change the Store country, or change the language within iTunes, see the following document:

  • Can't find Danish language in iTunes Connect when choosing localizations

I tried to upload a new app in English language but got the following e-mail from Apple:
    Dear xx,
You can now edit the default language of your app’s metadata on iTunes Connect at the app level and it can be changed at any time. Customers are more likely to read about your app if they can do it in their native language, and we encourage you to translate your metadata for each of the countries in which you offer apps.
To edit the default language for an app, go to the Manage Your Applications module, then click Edit for your App Information. Any previously added localizations will be available for selection in the Default Language dropdown. If you wish to add a new localization to your app, you can do so from the App Localization section of your app's version details page. Adding a new localization will require a binary update so that Apple can review it.
If you need assistance translating your metadata into additional languages, there are third party vendors who can provide internationalization and localization services for your app.
    Regards,
    The App Store team
I then rejected my binary to be able to add languages. However, I can't seem to find the Danish language, only Swedish, which is a neighbor to Denmark, but not the same language. What to do?
    Thanks very much in advance,
    /Lasse Bunk

I recevied same message from Itunes, but my defualt language  is arabic, and it's not available , so I did only translet the metadata to english + arabic .. and I didn't reject the binary but I don't apple will accept this or no, and I don't how they asked us to change the defualt language  to our language  that is not available in itunes !!

  • How do I change the language of iTunes on my iPad?

My iTunes is in Spanish on my iPad and I want to change the language to English how do I do this?

If you go to General>Messages>ReceiveAt and then add an additional Apple ID, if you dont have an other Apple ID, you will have to create a new one. Also, if you dont want to receive your current messages, you can remove the number/Apple ID, but only if you have 2 or more Receiving accounts. (including your current) If you dont want to use iMessage at all, just simply switch iMessage from "On" to "Off"
    Hope this helped,

  • Change country or language settings - iTunes match

I've subscribed for iTunes match and now I'd like to change my country or language settings from Germany to Holland. If I need to unsubscribe iTunes match then how do I do it. I could not find any option to unsubscribe iTunes match in Itunes.

Your best route is to call Apple direct, explain what you are trying to do and work with the pointers they provide.
To unsubscribe, you would need to go into your current account, de-select options for automatic renewal.  De-authorise your computers and sign out of iTunes - but it is worth assessing with Apple whether this will achieve what you need.
The rule to watch is the one that requires 90 days to elapse before you can use your computer with another Apple Id - it may be that there is no neat route around this deliberate service restriction that Apple have designed in - other than the obvious, to use a second computer (or an emulator on your current computer).

  • Default language in iTunes

    Hi,
I live in the French speaking part of Switzerland but recently the iTunes store has become German (it used to be exclusively English). I'm assuming that Apple intends to use all of the main languages (German, French and Italian) and possibly also English as there is a very large English speaking community here.
How can I change the default from German (which I do not speak) to French or English?
    Thanks

This is a long running problem with iTunes.
Apple seems to have no idea how to handle people speakingdifferent languages from that of the country in which they live.  It isamazing for a company that pioneered multilingual operating systems, that they expect everyone to use individual country stores online inthe local language.  I don't even need to use the Apple store in Munichin German, everyone there offers to speak English, but online ...
I came to this thread because I notice that my thread on thesame topic from 2008 had been archived with a "correct" solution thatdidn't work unfortunately - turning off every language except the oneyou want in "get info".
I suppose at some point the tranding standards people will wake up to Apple's non-European practices.

  • Subtitles in multiple languages on iTunes

I have a movie file that has subtitles in multiple languages, however, when played in iTunes 11, only one option is available.  How do I enable the other subtitle tracks?

Thanks, I left feedback...and I totally understand - what you've mentioned is nothing I haven't already heard before.
But as it was noted on the other thread you linked, this issue should've been resolved via electronic distribution (aside from media licensing), although it appears that I can't see a justification for an Asian country to have all the English content - if we can't get the other content too.
Actually, i'm not even bothered that we can't get Asian films and content, it's more surrounding the question of why the things like subtitles are stripped off our content when it might actually help people who live here to enjoy content available from a legal source. After all Australia is a multicultural hotpot.
By comparison, other Asian countries as used in my example really only have a few immigrants, but most are usually just understanding Asian languages.
    I hope that makes sense...
    Thanks!

  • Wrong language in iTunes

    My podcast...
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=107917501
... is represented in the wrong language. I did use 'report a concern' function several times because its language is Dutch.
But nothing happened. The first time I reported this about a month ago.

Try going to the very bottom, and there should be a little bar saying iTunes Francaise or something like that. Click on it and a drop bar should appear. Find the US option and click on it. Give that a try and see if it does anything first.

  • Language for iTunes

I live in China but don't read Chinese. My iTunes account is tied to the US store as I'm from there. After upgrading to iOS 6 iTunes, the bookstore and the App Store are all in Chinese. How do I change this? My language settings are all English.

At the bottom of the page where it says "my store", have you selected "United Kingdom" as the store country?

  • Flash iOS App Languages on iTunes

After publishing my Flash iOS App to iTunes I see huge array of languages, even though my game is only in English. In my descriptor, I only provided an English name and description.
Languages: English, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish
Is there a way to remove these or add other languages that are not on this list?
I understand its not possible via iTunesConnect its something inside the binary file.

I am working on window 7 - if rename the binary file to ZIP and open it, removing the XX.lproj folders - would that do the trick?
I see the "_CodeSignature/CodeResources" file is also related to the XX.lproj folders
Should i just not tuch it and wait for the fix?
    Thanks for your advice.
