Lanyard Headphones-why the shortage? Are they worth it?

Are they worth it? Why the shortage? When will they be available? I've had them on order from PCCONNECTION for 3 weeks with no product in sight...
Thanks.

Well, the lanyard and tubes are still listed on this site:
http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/accessories.html
But I cancelled my order and went with a Zcover (comes with a lanyard) and the Sennheiser MX-400 ear buds... They have pretty decent sound for under $10.00 U.S. I just got sick of waiting and decided to let someone else test them and report back.

  • Lanyard headphones: why did apple discontinue them for ipod nano?

i'd love to purchase the new generation of ipod nano (i need more HD space on my 2nd gen ipod nano), but i have a basic need for the lanyard style headphones. i can't bring myself to wear the old style headphones (i have many bad memories of dropping the lanyard-less ipods).
i have never had a problem with the lanyard design in the 4+ years that i've used them. why did apple stop production?
and, more importantly, does apple have any plans to bring back lanyard headphones in the future?
    thank you.

Since we are all end users like you, nobody here would have the answers to such questions.  Only apple knows.  Either way, I suggest you leave feedback to Apple through one of their feedback channels.

  • In BAPI's why the structures are used in table parameters?

    Hello sir,
what is BAPI sir? In BAPI's why the structures are used in table parameters?  table parameters they are using structures but not using any customized tables ?
    regards
    rachu.

    Hello Rachu
BAPIs provide RFC-enabled interfaces to SAP business objects (e.g. like customer, sales order, purchase order, etc.).
A BAPI does basically the same like you would need to do calling the corresponding transaction (e.g. BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATE -> VA01).
Since they are RFC-enabled they can be called from external systems.
BAPIs represent an external interface for the outside world. Very often you will find within the BAPI that there is a mapping done to the (SAP-)internal structures at the beginning of the coding and vice versa at the end of the coding. Thus, you will (almost) never find any DB table name used as type of a BAPI TABLES parameter.

Chicky, I have searched my computer for "iPod Photo Cache" and 51 folders pop up, plus 3 files (iPodInfo.plist, Photo Database and Image DB Temp.tmp). How do I know which to delete and which to keep? The Apple website page tackling this issue doesn't go into any detail. Thanks yet again.

Why the BPMs are not preferred in general is there any disadvantage ?

Yes..In general nobody is going prefer this BPM technic in terms of multimapping.Because it is bit of lenthy process and performance wise it is very poor due to some work process issue in the background.

  • F.05 -   why the entries are being reversed even though I did not tick the

    Hi,
Please advice why the entries are being reversed even though I did not tick the reversal button in F.05.
Your assitance is very much appreciated.

    Hi,
It is a standard SAP procedure by which the revaluation entries are automatically reversed. If you do not want to reverse the revaluation entries, you will have to Activate Delat Logic for the Valuation Area. SPRO Path is Financial Accounting (New)--> General Ledger Accounting (New) > Periodic Processing> Valuate --> Activate Delta Logic.
Once you activate this Delta Logic, at the time of fc valuation, you will get the check box for Annual or Mid Term revalation will come. If you select the annual option, the automatic reversal will not happen.

Where is the OIL Paint Filter in CC 2014?  why the heck would they remove it?

You will find the Oil Painting Filter in Photoshop CC.  It has been taken out of Photoshop CC 2014.
So if you have Lightroom Creative Cloud, you should have both Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014.
I have been looking for it for 4 days now, and I just found it.  I am so happy.

  • Why the links are still opened in new windows?

Why the links are still opened in new windows even I selected the option to open in tabs?
This is one of the web I am reading (sorry that it is in simplified Chinese), I have no problems reading it in tabs in Firefox:
    http://www.sodu.com.cn/mulu_30498.html

    Hi,
How are you trying to open the windows? Safari does not default to opening new windows in tabs. It can open +external application+ links (e.g. from your email program, RSS viewer, etc) in a new tab, but not links from an existing website.
To open links in a new tab, you'll need to hold the ctrl key and click the link, or use the middle-mouse button if your mouse has one (or right-click on the link and choose to open it in a new tab).

  • Refurbished Ipods - Are they worth the money?

Anyone got input on refurbished ipods?
Mine has a hard drive problem, not sure if I want to deal with the headache of replacing the hard drive, or just to buy a refurbished one.

I've bought several refurbished iPods from the Apple Refurbished Store for myself and my family. Apart from the different packaging, they've all been in new condition with no scratches or marks and have all performed flawlessly. In fact you've got more chance of a brand new, off-the-factory-line unit developing a fault than a refurbished unit as they are fully tested before being dispatched. They're covered by the same 1 year warranty as retail versions and you can purchase the Applecare policy as well. When you can save so much money, I would highly recommend refurbished iPods. The only negative is that as I live in the UK, the refurbished store doesn't have as a wide variety of iPods as in the US refurbished store and as stock levels can fluctuate, you can never guarantee that the iPod you want will be in the refurbished store at any one time.

  • Deleting 3rd Party Loops... where the freak are they stored???

Yes, I know that by default, loops are stored in Library/Application Support/Garageband/Apple Loops, or the similar address under my user library.
And, I know there is another folder close by, for Jam Packs.
However, I have been going INSANE, trying to find old, single-hit files and obsolete loops which i have downloaded from 3rd party sources. They are NOT in the regular places such as the Apple loops folder.
All of them were installed by drag and drop method into the Garageband loop browser, so one would assume they all went to the same place.
How in the world do i find these loops?
The Finder and Spotlight have turned up nothing.
I have about 5,000 i'd like to trash to make room for more important things.
    Can Garageband be THIS cumbersome?

    HangTime wrote:
yes, that was telling him to not delete it by hand because, as Christoph points out above, you then need to reindex, whereas deleting it through GB takes care of that.
with 5,000, it's probably worth the reindex, deleting one at a time through GB would be ... tiring.
Actually. i like your idea of deleting from the browser. They are scattered in different categories and different folders. I'd have to search and test them anyway... so I might as well just axe them when i come upon them in the browser.
I swear I've tried it that way before, to no avail..
Thanks a lot for you help.

  • I-Pod Games , Are they worth it?

  • Are they worth it?

    All:
Is it really worth getting an Apple display (for $500+) over an NEC or ViewSonic for a significant amount less?
    Please discuss.
    Thanks!
    Max

Yes and no. Apple sells high end displays which means they are digital rather than analog (better color), they are brighter, they have faster response time (less smearing and ghosting in animation and movies), and have even lighting (no shadows or bright spots). Comparing an Apple display to LCD displays you find at discount houses and electronic stores is like comparing a BMW sports car to a Ford mini-compact.
Now when you compare the Apple displays to other high end professional displays you'll find that the prices are closer but the Apple displays are still more expensive. For example, Dell's 22" display is considerably less expensive than Apple's. If you put the two displays side by side you'll find that the Dell's picture quality is nearly as good as the Apple display but I could see differences that put the Apple display slightly ahead. So that leaves you considering things like ease of repair (should it be needed), support, and quality over lifetime. (Not to mention the esthetics of the Apple display vs the clunky plastic Dell).

  • Here is why the activations are delayed.....ATT nor APPL to blame.

i work for att. i got an iphone last night as well and mine activated instantly...but i live in oklahoma, fewer people, fewer activations, fewer problems. okay whenever a new cellular phone is activated it is programmed through a computer and then sent to a piece of hardware called a "switch." think of a switch as a turnstall at a fair or a revolving door at a hotel. only one actication can go through the switch at a time, any other activations behind it are waiting in line like people at a ticket counter. activations aren't the only things that have to go through the switch. anytime you call in to your cell provider and make an account change such as adding/removing a feature, changing a rate plan, activating a new sim, anything like that, it goes through a switch.
sometimes, there are natural switch delays. it doesn't happen daily because in a matter of odds, thousands of people won't be making account changes simultaniously everyday. however, sometimes this happens and it creates a delay in the switch. when this happens, we alert our customers of the delay and advise them to wait a few hours, power cycle and try again. switch delays aren't a daily occourence, but not rare. now, lets talk about the iphones and switch delays.
the iphone is undoubtedly THE biggest thing to ever happen to a cellular industry. last night, hundreds of thousands of people purchased iphones at the EXACT same time, rushed home and tried to activate their phones asap. what happened was a massive bombarding of activations to switches that generally don't handle anything near last night's load. since the phones were sold at 6:00, everyone got home at about 7:00 and most likely overloaded the switches to the point of near exhaustion! it would be like 30,000 or so people throwing basketballs at one hoop and hoping to make it in! theoretically, larger metropolitan areas would have more problems due to more switch activity. granted our switches in new york city are heavy duty, but there are no switches in existance designed to handle that kind of load because with the exception of this weekend, there would never be that much activity!
is it apples fault? no, i think that their activation through itunes is ingenious. it keeps people from having to call into att and it was FAR less painless than in-store account set up! is it att's fault? no. they can't be blamed for overloaded switches due to iphones WILD success. our switches are adequate, it's just that this weekend was a rare-bird exception that would have dang-near blown out any switch. it was like christmas day X 100! i think that i got mine activated so soon because we got from the store to my house in about 20 minutes and completed the activation before the swarm began to get into full swing. so those of you who are still waiting, just hang in there! just think of your activation as being in line for a rollercoaster. you are 3/4 closer to the front than you were last night! having had over 24 hours to mess with this phone, i can assure you that it is well worth the wait. it's the most marvelous piece of technology i've ever had the pleasure of using.
i'm sorry to all of those who aren't active yet, but hang in there! your hour will come. i bet those switches are like hot stove-tops right now begging for a chance to breathe. it's like pouring liquid thorugh a funnel, pouring faster will just cause an overflow, gravitiy has to take it's course! it's not att's fault, it's just the hundreds of thousands of activations fighting for the chance to make that first call! hang in there.
    24 imac   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Hello Anitas, thank you for the thoughtful response, but several features of the launch were mishandled:
1.) There should have been some kind of lecture on crowd management at the ATT stores, people rushed to the front when the doors opened, I am sure this wasn't the case everywhere, but noe the less 15 minutes of well spent time could have avoided alot of frustration.
2.) Old ATT Customers, I have been an ATT customer since 2004 and apparently, I was never migrated over to Cingular, or from a "Blue Account" to an "Orange Account". Which had delayed things even further when I had to call 3 times to get this matter settled. Very peevish indeed, this should had been thought out a bit better than leaving people on the fringe and leaving people finding their own solutions.
Personally, I think the activation fee should be waived if you are over the Service License Agreement, which changed from 3 minutes, to 1 - 6 hours, to 24 - 48 Hours. Worst Yet, they changed my account and now I have no phone what so ever. Clearly an over-arching failure in the customer service experience.
Nonetheless, your insight is very much appreciated, for those people left in the dark.
