Laptop charger appears to be working but no light
I have a HP laptop dv6-1215ee and i am having some charger trouble. My charger plugged in appears to be charging the battery and working fine, but the light right where i plug in the charger is not on. I cross checked it with my friends HP laptop charger and my laptop was working fine as well with light on and everything. It is just with my charger that the light does not come on.
I plugged my charger in his laptop and the light didnt come on.
I started my laptop without battery with my charger plugged in and it blinked twice before going off. the laptop did start working on it though. (with my friend's charger, the light stayed on without battery)
voltage problems ? should i be using the laptop on that charger ? I am out of warranty.
there are loads of people with the same problem you'd think apple would investigate what the problem is an let us all know there really **** with customer service / satisfaction. Have you tried putting it in the fridge for about ten minutes been reading alot about that on threads wouldnt do it meself now

My appears to be working but amber light flashes
Just bought an airport extreme to improve my wifi for my apple tv and iPad it seems to work but the light keeps flashing amber.
Any ideas?The flashing amber light indicates that a setting needs to be adjusted or there might be firmware update for the product.
What operating system are you using on the computer that you used to configure the AirPort Extreme?

my iphone just turn it off for on reason, when i turn it on after 2or3 min it just shutdown by it self, and even when i charge my ipjone it works, but once i take off the charge then it shut down by it self again

Particularly:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

I have iTunes installed on a laptop that I use for work, but it's owned by my employer. A new policy my have them deleting iTunes from the machine. If that happens, will I lose all my music? I am an iCloud user and pay for iTunes match.
If they just delete iTunes, the music files should still be there. I suggest making a backup of them though. Locate your iTunes folder (The one that contains your library file) and just copy the whole thing to your Documents folder or wherever you like (Just not in the same directory of the original folder otherwise the computer will get confused and could confuse your iTunes library). Then you will have a backup of all your music, plus if you purchased it from iTunes, you will still have it linked to your Apple ID so you can re-download them to any computer with iTunes on it when you feel like it.

In iphoto 6.06 I make the red eye changes, it appears to have worked, but when I open the pic again the red eye is back.Advice?
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
Compressor is not working. When I export to compressor from FCP to encode DVD, FCP freezes and Compressor appears to be working but the progress bar never fills no files are created. I'm using a MacBook Pro 10.6.7 version 2.66 GHz core 2 Duo 4GB 1067 MH. I'm not new at this. I re-installed FCP successfully. I trashed the preferences. Please help.
Do you have any filters applied to your clips?
This happened to me before, I accidently had applied a broadcast safe filter to a color matte that was black....
I figured it out by duplicating my sequence and deleting items from my timeline 1 by 1 until I was able to export a reference movie.
Anywho, export again, this time with "self contained" movie selected.
Then try to import to Compressor. -
When i charge my ipod it workd but as soon as i take it out the charger it doesnt work any suggestion on how to make it work?
It may need a new battery, take it to an Apple Store and check.

Internet working but yellow light is blinking
The internet is working but the Airport is blinking yellow.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click directly on the word Status (2nd line) and a message will appear to tell you why the amber light is blinking
If things seem to be OK otherwise, it might be something as simple as a notice that you have an update available for your AirPort. -

Iphone burned via charger. It is working but not charging.
I connected my iphone to mac for sycronization. In one minute I got a massage on my desktop that one of the USB ports is overheating. I felt a burning smell and disconnected my iphone immidiatly. Niether charger nor iphone itself have been burned but it is not charging anymore. I think a charging part inside the phone was burned. Iphone worked till the battary was exausted. Did anyone had the same problem? Why did it happen? Is it possible to fix the phone?
I think the sequence is backwards. Something in your phone short-circuited, which caused the overcurrent protection in the Mac USB subsystem to shut down. Your phone broke first, it wasn't the computer that broke the phone. You need to get it repaired or exchanged, hopefully under warranty.

My laptop says fan is not working but seems to be working fine!!

My laptop (HP, pavalion dv6) gives me the 90B error which says that the system has detected a cooling fan is not operating correctly. It says that If I press enter I can continue into the windows but it may cause damage to my laptop. otherwise it automatically turns off after 15 seconds.
The strange thing is that this error doesn't pop up every time i turn on my lapton and I have been using my latptop for months now even when the error shows up and using the fanspeed software my cpu temperature is around 38 celesius when idle. (which seems to be normal)
I had the fan changed yesterday and all the vents cleaned out, still every once in a while the error comes up upon starting.
I also tried the hard reset trick but it didn't help.
So can anyone please help? Shoul I be worried or keep working with my laptop despite the error? Do u have any suggestions on how to fix it?Help us to help you by posting the following information. 1. The complete Model Name. or Product Number. of the notebook - see This HP web document if you don't how to locate the model number and\or product number. 2. The complete version and name of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ). If your notebook is from the model year 2012 and has UEFI PC Diagnostics, then there is a minimal risk with a BIOS update. You should also be able to safely update the BIOS by running an HP Support Assistant tuneup to see if there is an available update. Download the BIOS update via the HP Support Assistant if there is one available and perform the update. Make certain that the power adapter is plugged in when you do this and do not remove power until the flash is complete!

Time Machine appears to be working but isn't backing up
I noticed recently that my latest TM backup on my MacBook is 8 months old. I've gone through MANY backups since then and they all appear to work—the clock spins and stops and I get no error messages. But then, just the same 8-month-old backup is there. It doesn't matter whether it's automatic or I hit "back up now." I'm using a Seagate FreeAgent USB connected external drive for backups.
The external drive appears to be ok. I can access it and everything stored on it works. I tried repairing the backup disk—both the main disk and the partition listed underneath—several times. I get an OK every time.

I typed "backupd" into the console and there are 2 repeated messages there: "Not starting TM backup after wake - failed to resolve alias to backup volume" and "Not starting scheduled TM backup - TM destination not resolvable." I don't know what these things really mean, BUT my MacBook is not my main computer so I don't keep the external drive plugged into it all the time, so of course it's not going to start automatically if the drive isn't there.
My software is up to date. I'm out of ideas. Any help? Thanks in advance.Unfortunately I think a reset may be your only solution, however if you are backing up settings , messages, photos etc on SkyDrive , the phone should trstore quite easily (at least that has been my experience) and nothing on your sd card would be affected anyway. Unfortunately not everything will instakll and run on sd card so maybe install your game first on phone memory and install other apps after ?
Hope you get sorted ok and that maybe someone has a better solution than a reset.

My Ipod mini will not produce sound. I have reset it, still no sound. The only thing that I think might be causing this (and I want to know if I am correct) I carried it in my hand while walking in extream heat. The perspiration may have gotten in the device.
Be sure to try another set of headphones, if you have one.
Since you already did a Reset, the next thing you can try is to go to the Settings screen on the iPod (from the main screen). There should be an option at the bottom that says something like Reset All Settings. Choose that option to reset iPod to default settings.
If that does not bring back the sound, the next thing to try is a Restore in iTunes. Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right, go to the Summary tab. The Restore button is there. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If the cause is a software or settings glitch, a Restore should fix it. Try putting a few songs on the iPod to check if there is improvement.
If that does not bring back the sound, it is probably a hardware problem. A fix would then require replacing whatever part is faulty inside the iPod. It could be the headphone jack or something on the logic board. Moisture getting inside could have caused the problem, but it could just be age; maybe the headphone jack is just worn out. -
