Laptop computer and Sony lcd "Z" tv hookup

I am building a new house and I am buying a Sony 46" Z series tv that will be wall-mounted. I am also going to buy a Sony blue-ray player and a Harmony 890 remote control. I have a desktop pc with a wireless-G Linksys router and want to buy a laptop. How can I connect my computers to the tv so all my mail and the internet showup on the screen?

DVI is one form of video connection. Most new monitors connect to PCs using DVI.
I definately suggest an LCD if connecting to a PC.
Wireless functionality has nothing to do with video.
PC input isn't very specific. There are three ways a monitor or TV can typically connect to a PC:
VGA analog - This uses a D-shaped 15-pin connector
DVI digital - This uses a square-ish connector, I'll try to dig up some pictures tonight
HDMI digital - This uses a very thin connector. It is electrically compatible with DVI, so you can get DVI-to-HDMI cables that allow a computer with a DVI output to connect to a monitor or TV with HDMI input. Note that while HDMI also supports audio in the same cable, few PCs support HDMI audio output. (Most don't even have HDMI outputs, requiring the DVI-to-HDMI cable or adapter I mentioned).

Display Issues, Mac Mini and Sony LCD TV

First my setup:
Mac Mini(Core2Duo) = DVI2HDMI = Pioneer ASX2 = Sony Bravia 40W2000
I have two issues, in order of importance:
Issue #1: When switching off the Pioneer my Mac Mini will suspend. This is not wanted, because I somethimes want it to either work on the iTunes library (hours of work) or download torrents.
Issue #2: The famous my display is not 1080p anymore but VGA. Has anyone fixed this?
I haven´t seen any fixes to issue #2 even though it´s super common. I do hope that anyone can sort me out on issue #1

Both items #1 and #2 can be corrected using the Gefen DVI Detective.

Did you put all of your music on the new comptuer? Your music will only be where you put it. Copy everything from your old comuter, or your backup copy of your od computer, to your new one.

We don't know what Apple plans on doing to change this (and it may not be just Apple but more likely the publishers, since Apple would, of course, do whatever it could to maximize sales/profits). Right now you can only read Apple books on mobile devices. Sure, buy them from Amazon if you want to read them on the computer. We don't work for Apple so we're pretty impartial on this kind of advice.
You might also see what your library can offer. My wife can browse the county library from her iPhone, borrow e-versions, and read books on it too. Free!

This article can help you find out if there are any conflicts between your copy of Windows XP and iTunes, and can tell you what to do if there are. Before going down the troubleshooting route though, you should take a look at this article, which can help you back up your entire iTunes library to an external hard drive, so if this issue is recurring, you will be able to restore from that backup and will not have to worry about losing your playlists or music again:

ITunes would not install correctly with the latest update on my computer and laptop and gave an error of some kind. Now the earlier version will not work when recovered and I have no iTunes at all on either computer. Help?

I tried to update iTunes with the latest release and it screwed everything up on my desktop (Windows 7) and on my laptop (Windows Vista) giving error messages related to runtime error, etc. Tried to recover previous version and it would not recover fully. Now have no itunes on either computer and it will not install properly or open after quasi installed. Help please

I am given the options for "2ch-16bit", "2ch-20bit", "2ch-24bit" and "Encoded Digital Audio". When I select "Encoded Digital Audio", my output automatically changes to Built-in Output. I have tested it with the Moshi (http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1824ZM/A/moshi-mini-dp-to-hdmi-adapter-with-a udio-support) and Belkin (http://store.apple.com/us/product/HA342ZM/A/belkin-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adap ter) adapters, both purchased from the Apple Store with no such luck. Have you or anyone else had success with any other third-party adapters?

How do i remove photostream from one computer and put onto laptop?

When i got my iphone 4s i didn't have a laptop so i had to download itunes onto my mums computer. I now have a laptop and i want to take photostream off my mums computer and put it onto my laptop but its all so confusing. please help!!!!

PhotoStream is a cloud service. You can't "take it off one computer and put it on another." All you do is enable it on the other computer. You can do that in iPhoto preferences.

How do I get my itune purchases back. Lost them due to corrupted program or file, then computer, acer laptop crashed. I have a desktop computer and would like to put my purchases on it.

My laptop-acer-crashed. Before it crashed, my audio started to act up, It would work then silence. Then my tv shows which I purchased in itunes would freeze up then start, freeze again then played. Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
