Laptop HP 630 OVERHEAT

My HP Laptop 630 overheats while working on any software. HP Error Code 601
Service centre diagnosed that the heat sink with fan is defective and replacement needed. Now that heat sink with fan has been replaced, laptop still overheats.
Please help!!! by sending your solutions and comments...

Hp laptop spare keyboard in nigeria

Greetings
I need a HP spare (UK type) keyboard for laptop HP 630. Spare part n0 646125-031.
There is a list of HP partners and whatnot, but each number i call is either not connecting, not picking or they "don't sell parts as such but want me to bring in my laptop so they can fix it them self and charge for it"
Nigeria is in such chaos. I'm sooo disappointed in this country.
Can someone from HP direct me to a company in Lagos, Nigeria that would be willing to sell me (original HP) spare keyboard? Pleeeeease

thanks for your reply.
However, 2 Nigerian numbers from your first link i already tried, and noone picks up. It's now 11:30 am outhere, so their office should be open.
From second link (which doesnt work with a dot at the end ), i was able to reach few people but none of them would sell me the keyboard, as i explained in my first post.
Virtual keyboard wouldn't work, as arrow keys were damaged (i guess) on the laptop, and they were constantly pressed. It wouldn't even accept a CTRL+ALT+DEL to log in to the domain. Laptop is actually for one of my users, in my office and i have given him a external (standard USB) keyboard, after disconnecting the fauily built-in one.
But having him carry a external keyboard with him is unpractical.
I would need a direct number from at least one comapny that sells HP spare parts and actually would be willing to sell me one and not blackmail me for their service as well...

Please my laptop hp 630 with windows 7 usb is having problem because it does not recognise all usb that is plugged into the system and there is an uknown device in the device manager. please i need solution. thanks in advance

Have you checked in the device manager to see if the USB hubs have drivers installed?
Have you used the UEFI PC Diagnostics to test the USB components? It would be a good idea to install the most current UEFI Diagnostics version 5.5.0.0
Power button -->immediuately tap the Esc key --> press the F2 key --> select component tests --> select usb port test. Post you result here please.
You can also try reinstalling the chipset driver. The usb hub controller driver may be corrupt. The link to the compatible driver is below.

You are using a business/commercial computer but you posted on the consumer board. To get more coverage so you can get the proper assistance please post your issue on the this forum. The experts there work specifically with the HP 630 notebooks, and will be able to assist you. Also it is possible that you may have to create a new profile prior to posting.

To Do, or NOT To Do the 10.5.6 upgrade? Or just wait till I have no choice?

Hello Everyone, it has been @ 2 months since my transition to a Mac, and I love it. It's basically a rock solid OS, and has many benefits that you won't find in Windows.
I love the fact that Time Machine and Super Duper are protecting my data and backups. I can actually boot up from an external Super Duper clone and be right back in business in minutes. That alone is worth the price of admission. Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect, but it sure makes me not want to go back to Windows
Now my question is, and I'm sure I'm not alone, we Level 1 & level 2 users read online that update 10.5.6 is out. "Yipee", however my dilemma is that my Macbook is now tweaked and running great with 10.5.5
You know what I mean, everything just works great, Internet is fast, no applications crashing, daily nightly clones and backups going as scheduled, Parallels and XP hum along, the laptop doesn't overheat, and it just allows me to do my work, instead of spending nights troubleshooting issues or quirks.
I decided to go and have a look in the forums and online before updating to 10.5.6, and I see that oodles and oodles of people have had problems like: the download, systems crashes, time machine errors, and booting problems etc ...and so on.
Then I read on MacNN that there is 21 security flaws that are fixed with this update, hmmm, sounds like an important update, BUT, I don't want to spend a week troubleshooting all kinds of quirks and issues by going to 10.5.6
*So, do I just wait until the day that I have no choice to update, or do I take the plunge now?*
Or do I hang on, and wait till Snow Leopard.
What do you folks do in this situation? *Why mess with it if it ain't broken...*

When everything is running well is the time to update.
Updating when your Mac is having problems is a recipe for disaster and then you arrive at this worldwide online hospital for sick Macs
Back up > Remove iPods, spare HDs and assorted peripherals > Download Combo updater from Apple > Restart > Then install and be patient through two Automatic restarts.
No problems here.

Custom BIOS for MSI GT60 ONC

Hello there Svet I bought my laptop a few months ago and I noticed within a few days that it throttled quite a lot when put under heavy load. I thought that was quite odd for a gaming laptop of this calibre so I decided to try the 16F3EMS1_T16.rar from this link: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=162629.0.
It worked brilliant until I encountered a new problem. The throttling was simply gone, but the laptop began to overheat quite fast and the GPU would hit the 90s degrees if I did not turn on the Cooler Booster in time. I know they foretold that the moddes EC would generate more heat, but I at least thought that my laptop would still automatically turn on the fan speed depending on the heat. It turns on 100% when I hit like 90c degrees, but I find that to be a little too late for that. It seems like the fan runs 40% until the laptop hits the 90c and then it speeds up to 100%.
So here is my question: Can you mod a newer version of the EC to include the OC and stop the throttling and make the fan kick in automatically?

Could you take your time to moddify one for me and what would the cost be? Atm my graphic card is laying at 61-64c when idle which is way too high if you ask me. Or am I wrong?

Hp pavillion dv6 4023tx overheating

My laptop used to overheat until i dismatled fan & heatsink, before that i tried vacuming & blowing the vents, there was no difference, i found dust blocking the vents when i dismantled the fan, spent 2 years trying to find out why it was over heating, i even tried compressed air and that didnt work, i washed the heatsink and fins with a tooth brush and dishwashing detergent water to get the dust out, now my temps are between 38 and 80 before they were between 60 and 100 and constant hangs would occur now its fine

New dv6 7014nr runs too loud doing nothing

I recently purchased a dv6 7014nr a few days ago and have barely done anything on it. However, the fan noise is out of control. I've turned off hp coolsense but there is little difference. I don't even feel any air coming out of the vent on the side, but the computer just runs increadibly loud. The laptop doesn't overheat or anything it's just outrageously loud.
I really like the machine aside from this point and i want to do everything i can to try and fix this so i don't have to use something else.
I heard about "updating bios" and turning the feature "fan always on" off. I do, however, game quite a bit on this laptop and am worried about messing up the computer that way.This noise is just intolerable though. It's fine when i'm gaming, i understand that is using a lot of resources. But when the computer is so loud when i'm doing barely anything is what is driving me crazy
is there anything i can do? I've done research ont he internet and all i have found is that it's a design flaw with hp laptops which i hope i may be able to do something about because i don't want to have to returnthis machine.

See if you can go into a store that displays this machine and see if it is as loud as yours. What worries me is that you can not feel and air flow. Can you see the fan blades with the aid of a flashlight and see if anything is blocking the flow of air like some plastic tape of packaging material. Does the sound make a noise like it is scraping metal fins or rubbing up against anything or just a normal loud fan? Do you monitor the temperature of your laptop? Do you use a notebook cooling pad? You really have to be able to feel the hot air coming out of the fan discharge area.

I need a few users of the HP DV6-6153CA To Talk about it

I am looking to bu a laptop sometimes for gaming, sometimes for office work. Not heavy gaming though. Maybe some Battlefield 3. I've had an acer in the past which overheated, so I returned it.

iTunes version 10.6.3 was released June 2012 and works with Lepoard OS 10.5.8. If the version of iTunes on your MacBook is older then you could try updating to version 10.6.3.

Someone to solve my problem: 4618036176

I just bought a HP laptop, i7 series. When installed with 4GB, only 1.93 usable and the others RAM hardware reserved. When call HP to check what happened,
1. Initially, the support said all laptop Windows 7 32bits has this issue, but I have a friend ACER i5 and also Windows 7 32bits, it have 4Gb and 3.5Gb usable. By the way, the ACER has 1GB video RAM but HP only 512.   So I told HP support that is not true.
2. The support than said only HP product have this issue. So I request to return the laptop since it has such problem.   Now HP support said, after checking they confirm the laptop could have issue.
So asked me to sent system info file. After 24 hours, no respond from HP, so decided to give HPa call.
3. HP going round the circle again until I told them off. The support mentioned there is a patch (HP) and will send me the inform. But 10 hours, still did not receive any information.
The laptop was purchase about a month ago, it was sent to replace the LED for a week.
The Laptop also have overheat problem and after it overheated, stop working fine. game cannot run.

In order to help you further, could you please provide us with more information about your computer? Please post the specific model number or the (PN - Part Number) from the white tag on your computer. This will help us locate drivers and identify correct parts for your specific model.
Where are you seeing that only 1.93 GB is usable? Even with a 32-bit OS it would show at least 3 GB of RAM. This is not an issue specific to HP - it's an 32-bit operating system limitation. Furthermore, you probably have a 64-bit version of Windows 7 which makes this argument invalid anyway.

Intermittent Wireless Speed/Quality

My HP DV7 6101sa laptop has recently come under some hardware issues. Wireless Adapter - Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n Every few minutes, sometimes even seconds, my connection to the internet slows to a crawl and stops for up to 10 seconds. I cannot browse internet pages and playing online video games causes me to have an extremely high ping. I have 3 partitions of Windows 7, all on separate partitions and they all suffer this problem, so this problem must be a hardware fault. Steps I have taken: Restart multiple times Disable/Enable wireless adapter Reinstall Driver My laptop did recently overheat (a fault on my part), I wondered if this could be any cause, but I can't exactly say when this problem occurred. I have no ideas on what to do now. Please help!

Sorry that didn't work.
I don't have any other ideas for you other than to try switching the broadcast channel on your router to 11 or 1. Sometimes there is interference on the default or auto channel since that is where almost everyone leaves their routers on.
Take the notebook out to Mickey D's or some other place where they have free wireless and see if the notebook acts lousy there too.
If so, I would recommend replacing the wireless adapter with one of the same part number or consult chapter 3 of the service manual for your notebook for alternative supported cards. You should only buy one with the HP part number on it or it probably will not work.

New PC and Premiere Elements 13 craches??

HI everyone!
I just bought a new custom-built PC few days ago, I also purchased the Premiere Elements 13 on Adobes website.
I started working on a video yesterday – and it was working so well and smooth – until it crashed.
The error is something like: “Adobe Premiere Elements 13 stop working correctly. A problem is avoiding Premiere Elements from running smoothly. Window is shutting the program down and will let you know when a solution is found” – nothing else..
I was cutting a 1:30 min video with AVCHD footage and the first crash came when I was just starting to fade the clips.
First time I did not save, but I saw it auto saving couple of minutes before crash. And that file could not be opened again. I started all over, used the ‘save as’ and saved a few times during working on the clip. Again it crashed out of nowhere. This time I could open my file again, but just for 5 secs and the BAM another crash. Tried again maybe it was open for 10 secs – again it crashed.
I waited a couple of minutes opened the file, and just wanted to export it as an mpeg 720p 30frames – when it reached 11-12% a got a new error ‘Error compiling movie, unknown error’ (this did not make the program shutdown, but just made me unable to export, no matter have many times I tried).
I am furious and I don’t know what to do???

How to find out my mottherboard number?

Hello everybody! I have a laptop HP 630 and i have a problem with my motherboard. I contacted HP support and they gave me a solution, to replace it. The gave me a case number, and this number i had to gave their partners here in Albania. And so i did, i went to them i told what was the problem. They said ok, made the order and said about 10 days because the shipment comes from holland. All i know is there any way how to prove that the motherboard will be replaced? I ask this because here in Albania things are not very serious, you can not believe that what is said is done!
