Laptop is giving continuous bip sound, sometimes booted to Win7, sometimes not : HP DV6 2125 TX

System having issue while booting and sometimes when it boots successfully and loaded Windows 7 OS, it encounters some issue described as follows :
1 : When starting my laptop, it goes to "staring windows" and then giving any continuous bip sound. It does not load OS, I have to powered off forcefully and then try to powered on again. It repeats sometimes 1-3 times and then get loaded into Windows OS
When it reloads WIndows next time it given me option to check Start up recovery.
I have tested all the stuffs like recovery to previous good configuration, RUN system Diagnostics and found Memory, Harddisk all are ok EXCEPT one Notification
*** Battery Test failed. Recommened to change Battery **
I have removed the battery from system and tried the same steps but the same error.
2 : After it load OS, I observed that my touch PAD is not woring properly, like the cursor is moving but other function are not working like double clicking by Touch PAD, scrolling and dragging. I have to use Touch PAD keys ( Left and Right) to work.
After sometime it works everything fine and then suddenly it does not.
3 : System is generating Random 0s on search bar, notepad, or documents whenever I opened those.
4 : I checked both 0 key on laptopn they are working properly.
I am really stuck on this, impacting my work.
Could you please any help on this.

Swipe from just off the bottom edge of the screen upward.  This brings up control central.

  • Why is the sound sometimes not available?

I noticed more lately that after starting my mac, there is no sound, not volume slider in the menu and not even a sound device available. After restarting it's back again. Why is this?

Try setting the PRAM. Restart the computer. After you hear the chime sound (if you hear it, if you don't wait until the screen just turn silver), press and hold optioncommand+RP to reset the PRAM. That should work.

My iTunes v.10.6.3.25 is intermittently refusing to open. Sometimes re-booting my laptop works, sometimes not. I just put the computer to sleep, and when I woke it up, iTunes started automatically (I had been trying to open it just before by clicking on a song file in my Documents window, and that's the song that started playing when the pc woke up). I went to my iTunes Help and clicked Updates/download iTunes 10.7 twice, but got nothing. Now, Im wondering if I should downloacd the entire 10.7, or whether that would overwrite all my files, erasing my songs. Anybody know? Thanks.

    Hey thanks for replying.
    Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

Hi, I bought my laptop about one week ago. Sometimes it has weird and loud sound. It looks like fan sound. Is that normal? What should I do?

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you also have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • What would cause the computer to have a continuous knocking sound below the key board on the right hand side?

I have had my MacBook Pro since the middle of 2009 and am concerned that this continuous knocking sound that is inside and on the right side of my computer is indicative that my computer is starting to die on me. Has anyone experienced this same issue? And if you have what was the determined cause.
    Thanks you

Hello Barney, its microsoft office 2008 , not sure how to revert to original shipping thanks Ray
There should be disks that came with the Mac. Gray in color, likely two of them. One is the installer.
As I mentioned, I'm not sure if just booting into the installer and erasing the drive with Disk Utility is simple with the recovery hd. However, there are other posts around here I've seen discuss reverting to Snow Leopard, so I'm sure you can find something that describes it.
If you've lost the disks, you should call AppleCare and order replacements for the new owner. They'll need the serial number which you can find from About This Mac (click on the version number twice).
As for Microsoft 2008, I would suggest that the new owner install that before installing Mountain Lion.

  • GT70 Dominator Occasional Short Lag (Gameplay Continues But Sound Stops?)

Hello. Just wanted to say that this is a great laptop overall. But soemthing's been bugging me.
Every so often, games seem to have trouble loading certain things. When I play Payday 2, for example, the computer seems to wait a few seconds before actually showing items in the inventory. Also, sometimes during games, the sound cuts out, then plays audio that was supposed to play before the sound cut out. I have not been able to pinpoint a thread with my issue, so I hope that it is fixable. I can try to post a video of my issue if need be.
    Please help?

No no nononono I don't see $200-$400 as "inexpensive". I'm already in the hole around $1400 and I'm getting barely $35 a week. I'm already pushing the limit as it is, even more so spending under $100 on another hard drive.
    HOWEVER!
I did some research into this particular brand of HDD and it seems that they are known for drives that go to sleep after an extremely short amount of time (most say around 30 seconds, a few even say eight seconds). A user (shinhikari) even posted a possible solution:
    Quote
I've tried The Crystal Disk Info utility and I think it's the best workaround we have right now... Set the APM to 80h and the drive won't spin down... The latest Crystal Disk Utility has the option to set  APM automatically... so whenever you re-plug the HDD, it will automatically set the APM to 80h... That's it... this solve my problem and I don't think WD is coming up with a solution... so this is your best bet...
    Okay here what I did,
Set the program to run on start up and be a resident:
    Function -> Resident (ticked)
    Function -> StartUp (ticked)
Set the APM from 60H to 80H:
Function -> Advance Feature -> AAM/APM Control -> Choose your WD drive from the dropdown menu -> set APM to 80h
Set the program to automatically set APM to 80h:
Function -> Advance Feature -> Auto AAM/APM Adaptation (ticked)
And lastly, set the program to auto detect newly connected drive:
Function -> Advance Feature -> Auto Dectection -> 30sec (you can make this faster if you want)
That's it... I hope this solve your problem as well
And here is the APM value as stated by Crystal Disk Info utility...
    00h          Reserved
01h          Minimum power consumption with Standby
02h-7Fh  Intermediate power management levels with Standby
80h          Minimum power consumption without Standby
81h-FDh  Intermediate power management levels without Standby
    FEh          Maximum performance
    FFh          Reserved
So I think you can set the APM value to other value as needed...
In my opinion, if you are a heavy user, you can safely stay at 80h or above, it eliminate the need for the drive to go into standby... this logically reduce the mechanical wear of the drive...
But if you are not, you might want to set up the APM to 7FH or below... so it will still go into standby but after a longer idle time (not just a silly 8 seconds!)... I haven't tested this... but it is supposed to do as I think
Anyway do it at your own risk okay... I don't want to be held responsible
I have yet to test this out, but I'm feeling optimistic this time.

  • No sound with boot camp

I have sound when running Mac OS, but not in windows NT. So the windows drivers should be the problem. I have SigmaTel and RealTek on the Leopard installation CD. Ive tried to update the drivers, but Realtek doesn´t work. In the controlpanel under "sound" there is nothing to choose from. (Ive updated to Boot camp 2.1) and still have SP2.
    Can anyone help me, please?

Alright, after much frustration over this issue, i was able to solve the problem. hopefully this will solve yours as well.
the backstory: I had boot camp 2.0 for a while, worked fine and everything, then i had to get my computer re-imaged (i'm a student, thats the only way they'll give us our software). Anyways, after the second time, the sound didn't work, it worked for a bit, but then one day just... dissappeared.
what didn't work: -first thing was doing the 'repair or whatever'with the disk full of drivers but that didn't work
    - then i downloaded the realtek drivers and installed them, didn't work, well sort of worked buy once i restarted it just dissappeared again
    - i updated to boot camp 2.1 (might want to do that, can't hurt)but that still didn't solve it.
solution: alright, so i downloaded this application by uniblue called 'DriverScanner' they also make Registry Booster (which i installed first and also didnt help) which you can get here http://www.liutilities.com/products/driverscanner/. but you'll need to buy it, or find a serial... which you can.
Then i scanned, and it didn't find a sound fault, but that's okay. I ignored the network card driver cause i already knew that was screwy, but it works and unrelated, but the first driver i decided to install was the 'Intel 82801 PCI bridge'. (just click download then it'll turn into install).
after install, it pops up its own window and setup and stuff, and i restarted. after that restart, i heard sound, and the realtek icon is back in the tray. I continued to install the other system drivers, and this is the second time i've restarted and again sound, so hopefully it'll stay this time.
I remember reading somewhere one person's answer was the PCI controller, and another guy's was the plug and play, so i assume this is somewhere in between.
But anways, i highly recommend getting that Program by Uniblue, and install the drivers under 'system devices'

  • [SOLVED] No sound upon booting up today

I booted into Arch this morning and I noticed that none of my applications were giving off any sound despite the fact that the master control in alsamixer was unmuted and at 100%. My PC is running a dual-boot system of Arch and Windows 7. I'm running kmix with pulseaudio.
I tinkered with all kinds of solutions on the forum, such as commenting Jack and Bluetooth items in /etc/pulse/default.pa. I also uninstalled pulseaudio, deleted the files in /etc/pulse/ and ~/.config/pulse/, and then reinstalled it with no success.

I still use Windows for steam, its overpriced office tools, and a few other things. I actually like the convenience of having two operating systems and don't see myself ever wiping my Windows 7 partitions. There  isn't anything fundamentally wrong with Windows; Arch is just a more open and community supported OS.

  • Continious beeping sound when booting up Satellite L350-235

    Hi everyone,
I have an issue on one of our Toshiba's. it gives me now a Continious beeping sound when booting up the machine after giving in the bootpw.
If i remove the battery and plug it back in it boots normally. But After the next reboot the problem occurs again.
    Any idea?

    Hi WimB_1,
    > it gives me now a Continious beeping sound when booting up the machine
That means your hardware is malfunctioning and something must be repaired or exchanged.
So in my opinion you should contact an authorized service provider. The guys can check your notebook and repair it. If your notebook is under warranty, the repair is for free.
Here you can find a list of them:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Find an authorized service provider
    Good luck! :)

  • Sound sometimes works, sometimes not

The sound on my computer sometimes works, sometimes not. I have an HP pavilion touchsmart laptop running on windows 8. I'm not really tech savy and hesitant to try troubleshooting too much on my own. Support and suggestions would be helpful. Not sure if it has to do with updates or why it sometimes works and other times not.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Personally I'd suggest running through the procedure I detailed in my initial post as it's fairly straight forward and in all likelyhood, you'll on need to remove the particular update ( KB2962407 ) and then hide it upon reboot.
At the end of the day, only you can decide what you feel comfortable with and if you're notebook is still under warranty, help from Staples or HP should be free of charge.

  • My iphone 4s sometime has sound sometime no sound.

I bought my phone on april 2012.. Not my phone suddenly become like this.. Sometime have sound sometime no sound.. What is the problem???

There might be something in the headphone jack, maybe lint, dirt, or something else in there. Try disconnecting the headphones and then adjusting the volume, does it say headphones?
You might be able to get it out by connecting the headphones 5-10x or spraying compressed air into the jack.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

  • Chromebook 14 continuous buzzing sound through external speakers when powering on

I have this consistent buzzing sound when I power on my Chromebook.  Every time I power on, an electrical buzz through my external speakers (plugged in to the headphone outlet) remains until I completely unplug the speakers cable from the Chromebook, and then plug it back in.  Unplugging and plugging the cable back in always stops the noise.
Is there anything I can do to keep my external speakers plugged in without the buzzing noise starting when the Chromebook is powered up?

The speakers are made by Creative, Inspire t3000.
    1.  Yes, they are powered, so they are always plugged in to a wall outlet and I leave them on always.
    2.  Yes, they are normally the speakers for my desktop Windows system.  I've don't have this problem with that PC.
    3.  No, I don't hear the same buzzing sound from the Chromebook's built-in speakers.
    4.  No, I have not tried another set of speakers yet.  I don't have any others at the moment.
    5.  No, there was no software with the speakers when I bought them IIRC.
There is a loud buzzing thump noise made each time I unplug or plug in the speakers to the Chromebook even if it is powered off.  That's always been there.
The buzzing noise appears for about a second whenever I power down the Chromebook, that happens a second or two right after it is powered off.  Also, if I turn the volume control down for the speakers, the buzzing sound volume is lowered too. But if I turn the volume down to where I don't hear the buzzing noise, I can barely hear the sound.
Update: I noticed after fiddling with the speaker volume control that the buzzing sound goes away now after about 30 seconds.  It didn't just a few days ago.  And it never had the continuous buzzing sound at all when I first bought the chromebook and used these speakers with it periodically.
    Thanks.
