Hi,
Since the headphone is working,its not a problem with the OS or the sound drivers on the computer.
Check the volume.
For me it looks like a Hardware issue. Contact the HP Service center if the computer is in warranty. They will fix this issue for you

Itunes on laptop not working after update to ipad2

I am running the latest version of iTunes on my laptop which is running Windows 7. I updated my iPad Air 2 for ios8. After that, I went to play a song in iTunes and it wouldn't play. iTunes will not work now. Help!

It sounds like you are unable to use iTunes after updating your iOS devices. I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve the issue:

If that does not fix it, can you ellaborate what is happening when you try to play a song?

Charger connection on laptop not working G60-635DX

OK i have The g60-635DX and where you plug the charger into the computer is not working this had happened once before, and they replaced something in the laptop, but now it has happened a again, and i don't think i can send it back or where to send it back to? is there anything i can do? and if i were to send it for repairs where would i send it?

I have the same problem and it's obvious the adapter is defective. Unfortunately my warranty ran out and they won't replace the defective product but would gladly sell you another warranty. I don't mind paying but my point is the product is defective and regardless of the warranty they should show some loyalty to the customer who supported them but I guess that is no longer mantra of business. This is my second hp laptop and the first one had the same adapter problem were it would just stop working so it's obvious that their adapter is poorly made. Funny thing is they said that they have no complaints about their adapter if only they would take they time to visit this forum they would find out of people complaining. I have been a loyal customer of HP despite my first laptop being problematic I still supported them but unfortunately they don't feel the same way only thing they care is the bottom line making you buy warranties for product that don't even last. All I ask is to replace the defective product but they would rather send my business some place else which I would gladly do.

Brand new laptop not working

I recently purchased a brand new Toshiba Satellite L500-1XC because my old Acer's processor was insufficient for my needs while the new Satellite L500-1XC has a Intel Core processor. I have some issues which are:
- the touch pad does not work.
- upon joining this website and looking for product support for this particular model Toshiba, I was met with the error message: "the model L500-1XC does not exist".
I noticed the touch pad issue during the initial start up and installation of the operating system but thought it would work properly once everything had been installed. We could not proceed and tried plugging in an external mouse just to complete the initial set up, which immediately worked. The touch pad however, still does not.
With regard to the model, can anyone tell me whether the Toshiba Satellite L500-1XC ever existed? There are no specs on the computer, bar the serial number etc on the underside, is this normal for new laptops these days?

Home Keys on Laptop not working sometimes

Good Day,
Our HP Pavilion G4-2013TX's keyboard acts up sometimes. The Home keys (i.e., A S D F J K L and semi colon) keys sometimes do not work. I just have to wait a bit or furiously press them to get them to work again.
The keys are working currently (this message is evidence.) I don't know how to invoke the error at the moment.
Please help. I've been getting instances that I need to have a good working keyboard but the homekeys don't cooperate. A Sort of troll, actually.

USB Ports on HP Pavilion 15-e087nr Laptop Not Working

I have a HP Pavilion 15-e087nr Laptop running Windows 8.1. It has 3 USB ports and all of sudden they stopped working. It will not detect my wireless mouse, a USB corded mouse that I have or my phone when I plug it in. I checked Device Manager and under USB Devices it shows a number of choices and none of them have any errors showing so it appears the computer is seeing the ports. However, nothing works when plugged into them. Anyone have any ideas for fixing this issue? I've tried to uninstall them with no luck.

Have you tried restarting the laptop? Many times we get simply put the machine to sleep or hibernate- a full shutdown/restart can help with usb problems.
You might also try disabling "USB Selective suspend" in your Power Options plan.

Wired printer on an airport express from laptop not working

Hi,
Bougth an aiport express 2 weeks ago to replace a cisco linksys that suddenly stop working, the set up was very easy and wifi network is up and running, some devices are connected to the main network and some have issues doing it, particularly a mac laptop and a windows laptop, I created a guess network for these devices to access internet and that solved the problem however those two computers are the ones that need to print and because they are on the guess network sounds like that is not possible.
The lan port IP address on the airport is 10.0.1.1 so I assigned that IP address to the printer but somehow it doesnt work.
I had been disable and enable the credentials on the windows laptop but I'm kind of loss here.
Any ideas?

Although your post does not mention how the scanner is connected, my guess would be that you have it connected to the USB port on the AirPort Express. Is that correct?
If yes, unfortunately, the USB port on the AirPort Express does just what Apple says it will do.....print. Other advanced functions like copy, scan, maintenance, etc are not supported.
If you need to scan a document, you will need to connect the scanner directly to your computer.

Lenovo 3000 laptop not working

Back story: I got this laptop almost exactly two years ago for college. Up until recently, I've had very few problems, if any, with the system. Around March or April, the battery died. It won't charge or anything, so I've been running on AC power, and I've had no problems. Over the past week, it's been shutting off randomly, on its own, and I attributed it to the battery still being in place. So i took it out and all seemed well. I've even taken out the memory chip to make sure it wasn't dirty or anything, and have also vacuumed out all the dust. Sure enough, after all that, my laptop won't even stay on for 30 seconds. It worked for about 4 straight hours after all I did, but then just stopped working. I tried it with and without the battery inserted, and it's the same result. I'm going back to school, and need to get this solved; that, or know if I need to just get a new laptop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hardened thermal grease is nota surprise - I change mine near every three months. It's a bit oftener than needed. Normal rate is once in six months. Hadened thermal interface provides less thermal productivity. As a result - CPU overheats and fan blowing like Boeing-747 can do nothing with it.
Rarely you can meet thermal grease that becomes active only if it is heated at 40-45 C.
Also it's a mistake to think that applying thick layer of grease is good - it must be thin.

Transfering Library from PC to Laptop not working..help

I received a new laptop for Christmas. It is running Windows 7. My old PC is running XP. I downloaded Itunes9 on laptop and upgraded to itunes 9 on PC. I enabled ipod as disk. Copied Itunes folder onto ipod. Pasted folder in "My Music" on new computer. When I open up itunes, it is not able to play "cannot find file". I have tried "add folder to file" and it will play from "music" but not playlists and will copy 3 copies of each song into the library. With 3 coies of each song, it will not fit on the ipod. If I erase duplicates, It loses the file again.
I have done this procedure 3 times already (it takes forever with over 6000 songs) as well as tried just transfering it over the network and not even using the ipod. Please help!

There have been quite a few posts about this. I think you are getting the "not found" because iTunes ( fresh install of v9 on a new PC) uses a different folder setup than an upgraded v9.
The old setup previous to v9:
...\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
The new setup in v9:
...\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media

So I think you have 2 choices
#1 Update to the new v9 scheme on the old PC, THEN copy/paste things over to the new laptop
#2 Change the new laptop to the old scheme by renaming the iTunes Media folder

My laptop not working at all

I woke upp this morning and as always I wanted to checked my emails and everything. BUT my MakBook Pro isn't working at all. I plugged in the charger and something weird happened the green light is flashing. My warranty end on Sep 13. What should I do ?

Get your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key or check the Service Tag attached to bottom, may be under battery.
Go to the link below.Enter your Product Number .After entering PN, click Next ,then choose Software & Drivers.On the next page use the dropdown to select your OS (probably Windows 7 64bit). A list will populate with drivers. Download & Save the latest Audio driver.

Laptop not working and hard drive too

Every time I played a game on my laptop I would get a blue screen and the error IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd.sys) and I looked it up online where i found a guide telling me to disable my intel hd 4000 graphics card and when i did that my computer stopped working properly, my desktop icons disappeared, I cant use the internet or file explorer, which I need to re-enable it. Also when I did a full computer scan by pressing F2 during startup I got an error code, 9LNFUF-6PC7GJ-MFGJXG-60X803 which is apparently a fault in the hard drive, I think I still have a warranty in case thats of any use. I need my laptop up and running for schoolwork and for use around the house because it is my only computer.

Built-in web cam on HP Envy Smartouch laptop not working

I have spent hours trying to get my built-in webcam to work. There is no image when I try to use Skype or to open it directly. It is currently saying "connect camera" if I just try to open the camera app. It used to be a HP TruVision camera and has now "switched" to say it's a spca2082 pc camera. I have tried updating the driver (says it's updated), updating all the software that might have anything to do with it (any Windows updates, adobe flashdrive, CyberLink youcam, Skype, etc.). I've searched this forum and tried recommendations like restarting the computer, doing a power reset, even did a system retore. After that it went briefly back to HP TruVision and showed a few seconds of image, but flickered back and forth between that and spca2082 (i.e., video to no video) until it just showed a black screen again. I am NOT techy and have maxed out anything I know how to do, nor can I find a solution online. Please help! I've got two kids away at school and Skype is our main way to stay in touch -- I need a working web cam!!
