Laptop power wont turn on
Hello I have HP pavilion model G6 labtop windows 7 .
the only light that comes on is when the powersupply is plugged in then the whitish blue led on computer next to powersupply port comes on. Now when I press power button to turn on the computer this led turns off thats next to adapter connection and nothing happens with computer absolutley nothing .
please noticed I have scored forums for fixes before posting and have rulled out a faulty battery and ac adapter as I am using comfimed working ones from friends exact same computer. I have performed the following before posting my questions hard reset, trying with just ac adapter and or just battery still nothing . except what I wrote above
I have been scoring this forum for fixes I would really appreciate any any help or advice to try next really need my system working

Dasmithjr sounds like you are having a similar problem except my ac/port led does not flash it just goes out when I press power button to turn on . its very frustrating the hard reset and I have both new confirmed working battery and a/c adapter below is my first post of my problem I added a little more to it please post if you have found any solutions as I will do the same I have been scouring internet as I need to get this fixed asap for work

Hello I have HP pavilion model G6 laptop windows 7 .
I was using it fine 2 days ago I had it plugged into a/c adapter and battery was in as that is how I use my laptop 95 % of time to keep battery full and ready in case i need it without a/c power . I had left my computer running for about 1 hr and came back to it and in was shut down and still plugged in tried to restart and nothing happened . I had to leave work so packed it up and thinking that maybe power source wasn't connected and it had run down battery to empty and shut it self down. it had done this once before in 2 yrs when had plugged in to non working a/c outlet but powered right up when got home and plugged in.
on this recent occasion After returning home I plugged it in and tried to start this is when I confirmed this very frustrating issue below that I posted earlier

I have to unplug a/c adapter and re plug in to get the whitish blue led on computer next to power port to come back on like i motioned I have confirmed this a working a/c adapter with a mutimeter and on another exact same hp laptop computer as well as battery too.
Seems to me there might be something shorting when I press power button and led goes out on computer a/c port
this is the first time this has happened I take very good care of my laptop no drops or spills at first seemed this hard rest method would d be the magic fix or a new a/c adapter or battery but have ruled all those out. I have also jiggled a/c adapter connection to computer to make a/c port led to go off and on but stays on pretty much confirming the a/c port jack on laptop is ok led only goes out when power button is pressed
I have been scouring this forum and internet for fixes I would really appreciate any any help or advice to try next really need my system working

I see that you have determined the CPU has failed.
Sometimes reseating the CPU will resolve the issue or you will need to replace it or look at a new notebook.

I have just up dated my ipad 2 to the new ios8, a error occoured at 93% its now telling me to reset my ipad but if i do this im going to loose over 2000 pics its telling me to connect my ipad to my laptop but still nothing is working its not turning on or off please some one help

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -

Hello im having trouble with my laptop that is given to me its a little bit old at least a 2 year.Its a Hp pavilion dv6 i7 processor and running on Windows 7. But im having a problem i just got my new battery from Saudi and at first it runs fine but after wards whenever i open my laptop it wont turn on unless i plugged in the charger and when i open it and i check in the bottom right it says charging it it is in 70% ,Worst part is whenever i unplugg it turns off instantly... Also whenever i play minecraft a few minutes it shutdowns instantly i dont know but i just got this heat sync they call cleaned and repair a few days ago and it is not as hot as the past several days but that instant shutdown still occurs.. Please help me this laptop is so fast but that shutdown issues is im worried off. Thank you

so i picked up my brother from school today and on the way i was getting alot of texts and i read them but didnt reply, then i put my iphone on the arm rest thing, and when i came home, it didnt wanna turn on, idk why... it was around 80 percent battery and it wont turn on! i tryed connecting it to my wall, and nothing then i tryed to connect it to itunes, and nothing comes out, its already installed to my laptop but when i connect it, it wont turn on or open itunes please help!
Connect to Wall Charger again and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to start.

I have a Satellite A215 which just wont turn on. I have the blue light flash on the power cable and on the battery. I have tried taking out the battery and memory.
I have tried to just use the power cord but with no luck please please help got all my pics on laptop and it just wont turn onService Center is a good idea, I agree.
At first you may try to determine the cause of malfunction. You say it won't turn on. What do you mean? If no activity can be felt (like noise of the fan, flashing of power-on button or indicator), then, perhaps, smth is really wrong with the mainboard. Did you drop it recently? :-)
Or may be the power-on button stopped working for some reason (like disconnect). In this case you are lucky, I belive they can easily fix it (which is not the case with the mainboard).
If the on-button flashes and the system seems to boot, but you can't see anything - well, something is definitely wrong with the screen. Go to service centre.
Meanwhile, why not extract everything valuable from your hard drive? I believe, It is can be removed easily, and yo can by a USB-adaptor to connect it to any other PC.

If your iPhone only powers on when connected to a dock, and shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, start with these troubleshooting steps:

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

MY ipod touch 5 wont turn on. i tried holding the power and home button together to reboot but didnt work. i tried pressing only the home or power button but no response . it doesn't show up in itunes. i tried keeping i in charge but it doent even show the charging icon! it does not show the no battery icon either. i tried leaving it with no disturbance for a few hours but still no luck . it has no response . My 1 year warranty is already expired. is my ipod officially and completely DEAD????

I know I assembled the laptop correctly, each part in his place, every step went smoothly.When i tried to power up the laptop, it didnt turn on. If your power button is broken, there's not much you can do. You could go to an Apple store & do an out of warranty exchange...Apple doesn't fix iPhones, they replace them. But, I wouldn't recommend doing so, as the iPhone 3G was discontinued almost three years ago & won't run most apps in the app store.
You'd be better served by selling it for parts & using the money to purchase a new phone.
