Laptop's AC adapter is making laptop turn off with the slightest touch!?!

toshiba satelite something. i don't know what it is. it's my boyfriends laptop.if you move thepower cable even just a little bit, it loses power and shuts off. it doesn't look or feel loose, how can i fix this problem? also, his battery on that pc doesn't work, where can i buy a new one?

There's a good chance that the wiring of the ac adapter in the cable near the end by the plug that goes into the laptop is broken inside the insulation, even though it looks fine from the outside. Flexing this broken wiring even slightly will cause it to make intermittent contact. Had the same problem with the adapter for my son's POS Acer laptop just last month. And him being about as handy as a two-peckered goat, I had to repair it for him, lol...
Either that, or the power jack on the laptop itself could be going bad. It pays to develop simple troubleshooting skills.

It is most likely damage resulting from the fall. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store. Be prepared to purchase a replacement, though.

If the cover you bought is not a legitimate apple cover than you may be having the same issue I had.
The one I purchased has a top cover swivel, if you spin it around( meaning the top case cover)
The magnet will return to the correct spot and it will work again. It is only located at one end of the case.

If you have not taken the iPod apart, Apple will exchange it for a refurbished one for $99. You can do it an an Apple store

You have a hardware problem and you should take it into a apple store to be looked at and fixed.

When I look at my Ipod on Itunes on my laptop it is showing that I have a large amount of storage space taken up with Apps. (more than my music). In fact I only have the Apps which came with the ipod touch! How do I get my storage back?

I have an ipod touch 64GB. I have 3,146 songs, 3 videos, 106 photos and 1 app. The capacity of my ipod is 58 GB (I guess the remainder is the OS), It says I have 7.6GB remaining. Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

If you registered PSE before, go to the main page of adobe.com, sign in and go to your account and you should find the serial number there in your purchases.

Screen will not turn ON with the l505d gs6000

Cant get the screen to turn on. It is completely black. I'm not a techie so I'm not quit sure what to do. I read a post about using the FN key with one of the F keys as well as turning off & taking the battery out. Tried it and nothing happened. The laptop is powering on and I can hear the fans turning but the monitor itself won't turn on. Any suggestions or advise? I do have issues with it over heating too.
