Laptop's Internet connection connects to Personal Hotspot but internet doesn't work, help?
I have an Iphone 5 and whenever i connect it using a USB cord to my laptop to use my Personal Hotspot, my laptop accept it and everything goes well until i want to use the internet. Whenever i want to use the internet the pages dont load for instance google doesn't load and then it tells me no internet access but on my desktop it shows that I have internet. Can you please help me???

And how did my "Cellular (Mobile) Network settings" were just gone after that episode, so that I had to go to my providers website to look for them and enter them again? -
Laptop connects to iPhone 4s personal hotspot but internet doesn't work
I want to be able to use internet on my PC laptop (or any wi-fi capable device) with my 4S as the wi-fi hotspot. The laptop I'm using (Windows XP) sees my phone and connects to it (with full connectivity) but web pages won't load (there doesn't seem to be internet connectivity). What am I missing here? I've read you need a separate tethering plan with your wireless provider in order to use your phone as a personal hotspot? That's pretty dumb considering I'm already paying for a data plan and now they want more money on top of that in order to use that? Stupid...
You can call it all the names you want, but the bottom line is that without purchasing a tethering plan, you can't share your internet connection.

Both parties must be connected via Wifi for Facetime to work.
If wifi is not a possibility, I recommend you try Skype's video calling funtionality as that works over wifi and 3G.

Do you have a program such as "Little Snitch" installed? If so, are its settings allowing the applications to connect?

My wife's iphone 4s connects to the car bluetooth but handsfree doesn't work.
This used to work fine. She can make a call by dialing a number on the cars touch screen, but the call only comes through on the phone.
If I connect my 3GS to the car then it works perfectly - sound comes through the speakers and the microphone in the car is active.
What did she do to turn this off and how can we turn it back on again?
We have tried:
- Unpairing and re-pairing the phone
- Telling the iPhone to forget this device
- Turing off Siri
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks!In the end I tried a full reset (press and hold the top button and front button for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo shows). Then, after re-pairing, everything was back to how it should be.
I thought I would post that here in case anyone has the same problem because I didn't find an answer in my searches. -

Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options? -
My macbook doesn't connect to the Wi-Fi at home while my iPad connects to the same Wi-Fi. When I try connecting my macbook to my iPhone's personal hotspot, the internet works but the issue is connecting my macbook to the Wi-Fi. Please help!!

I am currently using iPhone 4 and windows vista laptop. i cant seem to get my windows vista laptop to connect to the personal hotspot on my iPhone using USB. Is it because iTunes is not installed in my windows vista laptop?
I have tried it on a MacBook Pro and it works perfectly fine.when you switch your hotspot on your phone you will see a user password - when you switch your laptop on and search for your iphone connect and you will be asked for the user password once you enter it and click connect you will link the two devices and they will work together as long as you have a good signal and good data allowance you shouldn't have any issues

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I can't link my iPhone 4S to my iPad air. I can't connect to a personal hotspot or Bluetooth link them! Any ideas?
In settings under mobile (cellular) I've turned on mobile data, 3G and data roaming.
Under mobile (cellular) data network APN details are filled in and I have tried reset settings all ready.
What I'd like to do is link the two devices so I can use my phone's 3G on my iPad.
I can't get either device to connect via Bluetooth with each other!
